Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

@Dory_42 keeps us guessing about which animal is going to bite her. Most of us enjoy animals for a variety of reasons. What is your favorite animal and why?4 -
My all time favourite animal is an otter. I am confident that one day we will have one in the collection at work. The local guy who rehabs them was about to send us one that couldn't be released a couple of years ago but sadly she died before the transfer. I'm involved with seal rehab so I know the best is to release but I'm also realistic that some can't be released so we are open to house that kind.
Other animals I would love to have in the collection are Platypus and Sloth and West African Dwarf Crocodile and another Gaboon Adder.
I took a pass day today. I logged but didn't set any limits on food. I planned to do some shoulder rehab first thing but that didn't happen and after making my 96th blood donation, I rested!
Also got my results for 1 year post kidney donation and as expected it's all good!16 -
@Dory_42 I love reading about your work with animals. My sincere thanks to you and your co-workers for giving these animals a second chance and a place to live a decent life.
@RangerRickL My favorite on your wildlife list is probably the whale. I also especially admire elephants for their sensitivity, strong family structure, and intelligence. Both creatures are having a very tough time today because of human beings -- I hope we don't cause their extinction.
Two favorites of my own, cats and dogs (here are Jennie and Tiger):

July 9:
Pass Day 2 (I think -- will have to go back and check)
I exercised for hours at my workplace (disinfecting because of the virus and walking)
I stayed under my calorie budget
However, I didn't track - I was too exhausted when I came home to write it all down

Exercise: Yes, 90 minutes of gardening (cutting brush and pulling weeds)
Calories: yes, stayed under budget
Tracked: yes
Right now, I have extreme diet fatigue. I reached maintenance last November. I'm absolutely burned out on tracking and logging. However, this has been the point in the past when I shrugged it all off, stopped tracking and weighing myself, and gained the weight back. I hope I can slog through this period. In the end, it only takes about 5 minutes a day to track what I eat and exercise, a very small investment in my health.15 -
I’m taking a second pass day - lots of exercise, but a large amount of guesswork in logging. Net calorie intake probably was ok, but I don’t want this to get to be a habit, so I’m aiming to get back to much tighter logging.14

A good potential discussion-post for the "What's On Your Mind" thread ...
If you have been at maintenance since last November .... identifying a feeling of "diet fatigue" is a signal that you haven't truly deep deep down been willing to commit "This is my real-life life-style now" and you want to "go back to [pre-diet] reality" which is how you got into trouble in the first place.
send me a PM or take this to the other thread so that suggestions can be more easily be found again and followed up on.
I went though this after about a similar time-frame interval ... which in my case corresponded with "Office Christmas Snacks Always Around Time"5 -
Yes x's 3.Beautiful, though hot, day. Work was good..not at precovid levels yet, but fun and busier. I pet sit as my job... not missing the corporate world!
Dealing with inflamed non alcoholic fatty liver, found out Wednesday. Labs say no serious damage yet. All of my lab results are looking great... Might have been exposed to covid with my son at his podiatrist.13 -

Dear @Hollis100 😘
When I feel as you describe in your post, I do some combination of the following:
1) Make sure I’m not falling into “Why me?” Thinking. Several times, I’ve had to come to terms that Even though I am for with normal BMI, my relationship with food is not normal. Gently. Lovingly. Tracking of exercise & food allows me to catch trends in the wrong direction early.
2) I remember my Big Why. I got to it by asking myself why I want to be thin.
To be healthy
Why?
So I can do more
Why?
To engage actively & fully with my husband & son for as long as humanly possible.
BINGO!
Everytime I remember that, I happily get back on track.
3) gratitude
I used to have to rest halfway try a mile walk
Now, I can walk 8 miles, without resting, in the mountains.
Enough said.
4) I think of the worry my loved ones & friends must have had about me, and my desire to not be a drain on them
5( I think of my drastically better labs
6) I think of my hatred of dieting & my commitment to Never Do It Again
7) I think about my kidney donor, who like Dory, now has one kidney so that I might have a higher quality life.
Tracking seems a very small price to pay, no?
❤️

Exercise was calisthenics and a 50 min roundtrip bike ride in a futile attempt to exchange my SodaStream carbonators. The hardware store said to check back Monday so will do so because homemade sparkling water is my lifeline, especially with planning a no-alcohol week starting next Thursday. But burned 300 cal according to my Fitbit so the bike ride was still worth it!
Stayed under on calories. Made mushroom grilled cheese sandwiches, chips, veggies and yogurt dip.7 -
Logged, under and walked.
My favourite animal would have to be the whale. Most are such gentle giants. I actually went to University with the goal of studying them as a profession.
@dsgoingtodoit, sending prayers that you are virus free and that your other test results continue to be favourable.7 -
I only like my former dogs Shadow and Pepper.

Yes X 3. My favorite animal is my kitty Merry who is sitting at my feet as I type this. She thinks it is time to go to bed. I think she is right.6

Yesx3 day. Enjoyed pizza and a bit of ice cream. So macros aren’t great but a healthy breakfast, light dinner and exercise helped me be right under calorie budget. 20 min cardio in the am and 30 mins stretching class in the evening + home cleaning to supplement.
I am not an animal lover...but I’ll pick a penguin. One of my son’s favorite animal character from his books. Nice to read all your posts today.4 -
Pass day #1 even with my exercises and tracking my talenti gelato did me in but that’s ok there’s always tomorrow!4

Day 10 - Pass #1!
no exercise, my body was screaming for a proper rest day. will do bed time yoga tho.
another day of weird appetite, this time i'm very low in calories but tomorrow i'll try to do better. something's just suddenly come over me that most food isn't very palatable or i feel "full" very quickly. whatever the matter is, i'll just blame it on the show i'm watching for being too suspenseful and making me too anxious & excited to have an appetite lol but i'm finally down to the last 3 episodes after spending all day in bed watching the entire last season so i'll hopefully get it over with soon & maybe i'll go watch something a lil more fun and less gruesome .
however, all week i've promised myself to a bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade on this night so i'll be sipping on that and melting into the evening. feeling a lil guilty for drinking empty calories & a lot of added sugar but that's why I'm only sticking to 1 instead of my usual 3 bottles. it's all about balance & baby steps, right?
My favorite animal is honestly, most sea creatures! i love dolphins, sea slugs, seahorses, and jellyfish the most! the sea is a beautiful place
@Hollis100 your pets are soo cute! tabbies & collies are the sweetest things

My west coast adult children and spouses arrived here tonight.
We will be traveling to a camping location in Michigan to have an early 70th birthday celebration. My birthday is actually August 13, but this coming week is when we could all be together. Due to Covid, we will stay in tents outside.
Pass Day and that is okay!12 -
Yes, yes, and yes. It was a good day.
One pass day so far, two left.6 -
10th July
Exercise: Yes, swimming for 30 minutes and walking for 30 minutes. These swimming pool sessions are a real life line. They are brilliant for my knee, see other posts, but also my mental health. I feel so good afterwards!
Calories: Yes, stayed under. I made a massive lentil curry, ate some, froze the rest. My kitchen is very hot at the moment, facing south, so right now I tend to just have salads and bread and peanut butter.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
I am not an animal person, but I do enjoy waking up to birdsong in the morning.6 -
🐧 penguins!!!!!
My nickname is Pengy!
Love them!!4 -
