Hello there and I'm from Swansea. I'm a college student and I'm moderately active, whenever i find myself free i'd go horseback riding, play some rugby, table tennis or sometimes go to the leisure centre to see what's available to play and socialise with other people. Take this tip, if you're willing to go to the gym or find yourself a hobby, drag a friend or two along to help encourage eachother. Otherwise you'll get bored alone and you'll find yourself giving up pretty easily. Add me 'Faisalshamallakh' and we can exchange tips and encourage one and other

Hi, new today to MFP. I live in SW Wales by St Clears. Just started on the route of a healthier lifestyle, have been working out 6 days a week for the last 3 weeks. However my knees have been really painful, not helped by kneeling on the floor a lot of the time (for work not begging, lol). I am going to try doing some walking today as I am really missing my workouts and on't want to lose the momentum. Anyone care to join me in my new lifestyle change then feel free to join me.

My best tip is getting a fitspo tumblr, if you dont know what it is its like making your own motivation page and sharing your health ideas with other people. If anyone has any tips for me, i'd love to hear them>.<

    Hello All,

Not new in here (joined, did quite well, fell off the rails, sound familiar?). I'm 43 yrs old (male) from Cardiff and drive a desk for a living. A combination of an unbalanced diet and lack of exercise saw me balloon to 105kg last year which on the BMI scale is morbidly obese!

in January this year I hit 43 and came up with a plan to lose 43lbs in 43 weeks (project 43-4-43) or a roughly a fifth of my starting weight of 100kg!

Anyway so far i've lost 12kg by calorie counting and doing a little bit of exercise on my oldest son's multi-gym but have been stuck at 88kg for a few weeks now. I've decided to up my exercise and bought a spinning bike which is fab for burning the calories so i hope this will kick me on.

My biggest trouble seems to be lack of motivation some days and its hard to diet and exercise on your own so would appreciate some new friends willing to share recipes, tips and just have a chat on here once in a while.

Join me if you would like to and let's succeed together,

    Thanks for reading,

    Shane

    Hello, I'm Emma from Swansea.
I've been on MFP for a good while now but don't access this part very often as i tend to use the app on my phone instead.
I've just qualified as a nutritionist and have started studying sports nutrition, so feel free to pick my brains, I need the practise.
I've just signed up for the Swansea Race for Life in July and hoping to beat my last time of 44 minutes. I love all exercise, completed Turbo Fire before Christmas and now doing a month of 30 day shred before starting PiYo. I also throw in some Pilates for good measure and I'm training to become a Pilates instructor.
I'm happy for anyone to add me as a buddy as I think it is far harder to stick to without support.
    xx

Hi I am Myfanwy from Llandeilo, joined years ago but lost my way after being diagnosed as a Coeliac and putting on weight. In January I hit 50 and have now decided that IO need to regain control. Did this on here before and know I can do it with support and motivation

    Hello (Again)!

I'm 38 living in Cardiff and I'm finally back on here properly after breaking my ankle back in October.

I had lost 6.5st, but unfortunately put 1.5st back on while I was stuck not moving around. I'm now getting back into running, slowly getting back into the groove and loving it!

    Add me if you'd like!
