Ok so this reminded me of when I nag my husband and daughter to pick up after themselves, they always answer “I’m trying” LOL we have very different definitions of “trying”!!
Trying takes effort!
Pass today, last night with my daughter before she goes back to Chicago- she’s been home since April. We went out for ice cream and it put me over on calories.
Lots of exercise though. An hour of sunrise yoga at the park, an hour of strength training with my crew plus a super active day of gardening and farmers market.
I’m not eating back exercise calories so I’ll take the pass.9 -

Exercise long walk and exercises. Delicious salmon shallot dinner.
When I want to catch up with friends, instead of a zoom video call, I prefer to put in a wireless ear bud and do a neighborhood walk while talking on the phone. A great way to catch up with a friend and also get in my steps!7 -
Exercise: usually horse owners go for a walk while on a horse. Today, I took my horse for a 60 minute walk to introduce him to a new area of the farm. All went well and we both got exercise calories together.

Today's intro comments very much hit home with me. My bad habits have landed me here on MFP and I am striving to replace my bad habits with good ones that will serve me better as I age. This is more than a weight loss journey for me. I am very glad and thankful that I found this group!
Yes x 3 today. Since I have been struggling a bit with the diet plan for the last few days, I reviewed my diary and realized I have been eating a lot of 'snacky' foods. Today I had 3 solid meals with one snack. It seemed to work a bit better today for warding off those munchie cravings. Happy because I don't know how much will power I will have to fight it off every day! (I gave in 2 days ago.)9 -

12th August
Went on a mini trip to Narbonne, an hour by train from Montpellier, with my partner. Met up with his ex partner, who has become a friend of mine too, had lunch with her.
Wonderful salad with avocado and poached eggs.
Then went to see fabulous Cistercian abbey. Nadine had done her back in and walked with a cane, so I had an hour's slow walk! A lot faster when I had to run around to find my partner who wandered off twice - he has Alzheimer's and keeps wanting to find a toilet. It's sad, really, but it would make quite a funny sketch.
I had a shop bought salad when I got home in the evening. Still too hot to cook, but it put me over budget and I didn't have the energy to go for a quick trot around the block, which would have put me back under.
Tracked everything though!
I feel quite enthusiastic about my little art-historical project though; will try and do some writing today. My partner wants more outings and walks. I am trying to balance his needs and wishes and mine ... I don't want to sacrifice myself but also not neglect him.

Inspiring team and quotes, I changed my settings to my 'before lockdown' routine and it's working, am a lot fitter strength wise, have cut out sweet snacks and don't crave those anymore, am always trying!
Exercise yes 10 min quigong, 20 min leslie sansone, 30 min strength training, 150 min cleaning, 20 min gardening, still hot here in UK
