    @BMcC9 which popcorn do you suggest? I just started thinking about non-oil popcorn and without salt that can still be popped in the microwave.

    I have a counter-top appliance type air-popper. If you are going for microwavable - I suggest you search amazon and make a one-time investment (VERY small) in some variant of "microwavable popcorn air popper". There are multiple brands, colors and volumes. Also to be found in Walmart or any other store with a "kitchen countertop appliances" section.

    then just put regular run-of-the-mill popcorn kernals in.

    If you find air-popped popcorn on the bland side as you make the initial transition, go to the spice aisle of the grocery store for "Molly McButter" (butter flavor sprinkles) or other "popcorn topping spice mix" to your taste.
