We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.
This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!
Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion.
Monday - 88olds (George)
Tuesday - whathapnd (Emmie)
Wednesday - misterhub (Greg)
Thursday - MASSRUNNER_FRANK
Friday - imastar2 (Derrick)
Today’s Topic: GOAD: The Movie
If your weight loss journey were a movie, what would the title be and why? Who would star in it? What kind of movie would it be? What would be the plot?
Best picture awards next Monday.
(Extra credit for reference to film classics.)

Lose or Die!
John Candy
Cliffhanger
Wicked fat guy in his 60's gets told by his doctor that he is diabetic, and that, along with his high blood pressure, previous heart attack, and bad arthritis, makes him a prime target to die.
After moping around, he decides to lose weight, and finds it a lot harder than it was 30 years before. He's able to drop 30 pounds, but gets stuck, so joins WW, and is able to lose another 60.
He gets a triple bypass, but, even with that scare, still can't seem to lose the needed 30 pounds more.
Will he lose it, or die.
See Cliffhanger II next year, COVID not withstanding.

I guess its real he thinks. As he stares at the number it becomes 300. He hears a voice , “this is the future.” Badly shaken proceeds to change.2 -
