Hi from Rick,
Why did you join the UAC?
I joined over 4 years ago because I need accountability to be able to stick with the UAC healthy habits.
I stay committed to this group because I get that accountability and you share your journey with me and each other.

I find the simple goals and accountability helps me keep on track. Even if I don’t get it right enough for the circle, it’s still beneficial to log in regularly and account for my choices.
Today started with a beachfront run and some time playing in the waves. With my watch I don’t need to take phone with me so I can run free and then leave my shoes and clothes on the beach while I swim. It’s a great addition to my beachfront runs!
Busy day at work which included jumping in to play with the seal puppy and do some water work with one of the bigger seals. Then a yoga session with my housemate.
All food logged and under budget. I haven’t actually had supper yet but it is planned and I even have grapes as a snack option if I’m still hungry so I know I won’t go over.8 -
Exercise: yes, 80 mins walking
Tracking: yes
Calories: yes
So happy I can go outside again, loved every minute of my walk! I weighed in this morning and the scales haven't moved, but I'm sure this will change if I can start being more active again.8 -

Tracking yes calories yes5 -
This year I've been doing a variety of challenges - a new one each month - instead of a new year's resolution. It's been great. In June I was planning on exercising every day as my challenge. The thread for UAC came up and I thought it would be a nice way to keep track. I was surprised at how useful I find it. I think I'll be on here long term.
Yes x3 today. Exercise was jogging.7 -
I have just joined the group as I want to give myself the kick up the *kitten* I need to achieve my goal! Is it too late to join just for the motivation for this month and aim for completing all rules in Oct onwards?4

I joined so i could be with likeminded people and the accountability!5 -
Yes for all three. Had to eat into some of my exercise calories today (pun intended).
I joined to give and receive encouragement. Also, I hoped joining a group would put more onus on myself in order to persevere. So far, it is working! Thanks all! Glad to be here!6 -

I can't say enough how thankful I am to be a part of this group. It is truly helping me form the habits and accountability I need for consistent weight loss. I was really struggling last month.

I know to be successful at weight loss, I have to log what I eat and stay in a deficit. I also needed to start incorporating exercise back into my life, for overall health benefits. So the accountability on all three fronts is why I joined the UAC!!
Logged and under and over 30 minutes of walking.5 -
Hmm, why did I change the UAC? I joined because I had an issue with consistency and I thought the daily accountability would help. I also wanted to set long-term life-long habits and I thought the group would help realize this. I also like the feeling of community and a sense of working with like-minded people towards the same goal.
Hello again - I have been on a bit of a hiatus from daily logging. I was just in a bit of a funk but I am back. Although not logging, I did eat mindfully most days. I haven't lost weight but I haven't gained either so that is good news.
Yes, yes and yes for me today. Here's to finishing well for the remainder of the month!7 -

I joined a little over a year ago b/c I wanted to get off the last bit of weight to get to maintenance. I knew I wouldn't win any of the biggest loser competitions b/c I wasn't super far from my goal, so I liked that this group was more about habits and meeting your goals rather than how much you could lose. Long term over short term. And here I am, a year later and starting my maintenance journey!5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 3 mile treadmill run + 17 minutes barre strength this morning
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and under
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!5 -
I joined because I find having to post day holds me accountable. I also feel this group is very supportive because really it’s not about the winner’s circle, it’s about putting in your best effort each month.
Yes - 23 calories remaining

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Strength training class + 7k steps

I joined UAC because it helps with sticking with my goals to have someplace to go everyday and declare victory. I do better when my goals are about sticking to the plan rather than WL goals. So exactly what the UAC is about.6 -

Logged all food & beverage.
I was over calorie count today.
I joined UAC one month ago & so glad I found this group! I love the sharing & learning from others. Inspiration, accountability, and I look forward to documenting the day. I’m learning about myself through logging, measuring out food, and weighing. Awareness is key for me, and these mechanical steps keep me motivated to start another day. Self-quantifiable behavior with a goal to shoot for💜. Thank you @RangerRickL for all you do!!7
