Sara had two huge trees removed and grass put in for Ronan's play area. A fireplace will go in and something else back by her two huge pine trees. Flowers and an orange tree planted in back. River rock and a new fence out front.

A lot of folks have gardeners around here. As long as someone besides my DH is doing the back breaking work...I'm all for paying the guys to do it. I just wish I could get my wonderful housekeeper back. A gardener and a housekeeper were my conditions to move from our house on Madison to this one. If I couldn't have those, I wasn't going to move.

No exercise is killing me. The smoke might clear up some over at Sara's tomorrow and then I can work out w/Pete. Maybe...we could walk over there...hmmm...just thought of that.

Dang it, Shelley, you're so easy. <3 Double-dog-dare-you <3 and you jump right in!

But it worked for me yesterday. Was heading into the kitchen in the evening. Wasn't hungry, just had the nibbles. Knew I didn't need it but as succumbing to "just one won't hurt". Then stopped and did ten wall pushups (which felt good) and found the   STRENGTH   to fight it. Stopped the night munchies. Lost a pound. Fingers crossed.

I’ve got to try the distraction method. My night Snacking is always an issue. I blame my mother, :D she always had snacks in the house. She and my sister stayed up late watching movies. It’s a problem for me because I can’t sleep at night therefore I snack. Going to try the wall pushups. Ladies other suggestions gladly accepted.

The distraction thing seems to be helping. I've been snacking "mindlessly" (you know, where you ignore that inner voice that is aware of the danger) and stopping to do something "mindful" (in my case wall pushups) seems to short-circuit the ignorance and put "me" in charge again. Interesting...

Plus, I've been wanting to start working out again, and wall pushups are such an easy way to remind me of how good it feels. I'm SO outta shape; 10 measly wall push-ups make my muscles ache (in a good way).

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's predicted air quality improvement too, Chris. :)

    Best wishes to all,
    Paula

If I find myself heading for snacks, I stop and drop (against a wall cuz of bad knees).

Shelley likes burpees (and skull crushers). She's hard core.

Chris and I have a unique style of burpees where we do thousands of sets (of zero burpees each). We started a club. We're fierce!

Kathy what helps my snacking at night is to not have anything I like in the house for snacks. If t is here I eat it. I like the 100 calorie bags of popcorn and allow them. Wishing you all the luck. And I blame my husband. The man loves to eat!

Paula I did skull crushers on Friday. But so not ready for burpees yet. Can I join you for a bit? Just till I can do that crazy jumping thing again. >:)

Karen you can join us also. I love the ideas Paula comes up with. The hard thing is, what to do with the snacks?

Going to get some police tape. The kind that says don't cross and tape off my kitchen. Dentist appointment tomorrow. I cracked a tooth. Stupid expensive thing to do.

Well, our credit card got hacked, and I was a nervous wreck about it. Got it all straightened out, but man! It was someone in another country. There was an "out of country" charge for $2.00 and then $90.00 then $600.00 then $600.00 again. UGH!! The credit card caught it and took care of everything, but now I have to wait for the new cards to do any shopping and I have to go in and change any company that I have the old # plugged into...sigh. I'm good tho. I'm so glad they caught it.

No exercise today. :p Hope to walk in the morning...we have a pretty clear day today...and I'll workout w/Pete. :)

I am proud of you guys and your snack challenge. It's probably a good thing I don't have a credit card so I can't order peppermint off Amazon or either of the candy places I've used in the past. :o

Yes, Paula and I have a special burpee club, and anyone can join it...Shelley. ;)

I have a feeling I’ll be doing a lot of wall pushups to stay out of the kitchen. I hope the melatonin helps with sleep going to restart it tonight.

I bought the 100 calorie popcorn for emergencies. ;)

And I joined the zero burpees club ages ago. :D

Chris that is horrible. And so glad they caught it.

Kathy you have everything you need now. My favorite popcorn even! Yummy. And I will need to clean my wall if I do wall pushups! Lots of hand prints!

    Paula congratulations on the loss!

Karen so true, keep us going.

I have been doing steps and weights. Working to much this week.

Been weighing myself here and there since June. Definitely don't want to go back to daily weighing, but may do it every month or so.

Pleased to see a nice loss this morning. Been working on that darned snacking!

    SEPTEMBER 18th - 175.2
    TODAY - 170.2

    Good news!

Congrats, Karen! I'm trying to catch up with you!

Got up at 8am and had gained a pound since yesterday. Went back to sleep and weighed myself again at 11am (my normal time) and I've actually lost 1/2 pound since yesterday. Just shows that it pays to sleep in.

Happy Friday Ladies! So glad we have made it to the weekend...almost.

Busy week, and tough week here. My father in law who lives in Florida was moved to hospice yesterday. He's been battle ALS for several years now. Horrible disease. He got COVID a few weeks ago and just can't beat it. So sad, and hard as no one can see him, not even his wife Helen. I can't imagine not being able to hold your partners hand on the end ;( Thankfully with technology, she shares screen with him daily and they can "see" each other at least. We did get to do yesterday same as a family, and say our last I love yous. He was coherent then. So that's been a lot.

Just trying to take care of myself and be gentle ;) I have been doing well with eating this week. I do fasting, but have tried to stop all of that darned snacking. I have a love/hate relationship with carbs! Been doing well keeping them relatively low. I haven't seen this weight in 3+ years....167.2 today.

I had "re-set" by goal to 160....after I went back you to 196...so nearing that. Boy has it taken a while...sigh. So we will see. I just really want to fit into my size 8 pants lol! I have such a large lower body...my top is tiny. What I probably need is a surgeon to get there lol...a lot of skin from the large loss.

For some reason my new Samsung S30 phone won't let me upload pictures here...so annoying. Trying to figure it out.

Wishing everyone a great Friday...who's with me to have a healthy weekend? My goal is to not get too loose with the eating and drinking....I tend to do that!

Karen so sorry to hear about your father in law illnesses. One of the saddest things and scariest for the patient is the family not being there at the end...Damn Covid. My prayers to you and your family.

Take care of yourself and hang in. I’m going to try and have a healthy weekend as well. Next Thursday is move in day. My parents are so happy so that makes me happy. It will be good for my family as a whole!

    Great weekend everyone.

So moved to my work phone. This picture is the first time I have worn tighter non-stretchy pants since March! Took this in the bathroom at work clearly lol. Feels good to start feeling better in my skin and to wear some of the great clothes I have and not sweats!dcnvoc8ib6kn.jpeg

Karen, so sad about your father. Damn virus. Sending him good thoughts.

I like your photo...wait...is that a tattoo on your foot?? Crazy!

Kathy, hope your move goes smoothly.

Trying to eat right, too. Made a new soup. All veggies. It tastes pretty good. I did put potatoes in it. :o

We didn't walk yesterday or today. Somebody...not saying who...asked if I wanted to sleep or walk. Easy answer at 4:00 in the morning. Tomorrow and Sunday we'll get some miles in.

    Love you guys.
