I live in the north central part of the United States. This region is called the Midwest. Literally, the true middle west of the United States lies in the state of Colorado which is more than 900 miles west of where I am right now.
Yesterday, at a neighbor’s farm, I saw this hay wagon filled with decorative pumpkins. Pumpkins are iconic of fall in the USA.
What are some of your regional harvest time traditions?

I don't have time to look for it now ... but I THINK it was @RangerRickL who posted an image of a brick wall with a green arrow-ribbon punching through and a red arrow blocked with its ribbon tail bunching up behind it.
Between something like the 9th or 10th and the 14th or 15th, that red arrow was me and the wall was MFP not letting me do anything but food and exercise log.
Plus work stress.
So I am not going to bother with retro-spective "did I or didn't I track??? I know I had already used 1 pass .... " and arbitrarily declare myself at "4 Passes" and as of today, and start fresh on Friday.
I WILL go back to the 15th / read and report on some NSVs (my FAVE date in the UAC monthly cycle!)
Time to "commute to work" (climb 14 stairs to the second floor).9 -

Today was meal prep day. Lots of healthy eating options now, but I "had" to sample everything, so I ended my day with only 9 calories leftover.6 -
We live in Macintosh country in Upstate New York near Lake Placid there are many apple festivals and corn mazes. Folks also do a lot of outdoor fall and Halloween decorating. I must have found the Halloween candy as even though I walked I need pass day #14

@RangerRickL, harvest and fall traditions in Canada are identical to those of the USA, and the pumpkin is front and centre here also! We run a family farm supply business, and locally (southern Ontario on the north shores of Lake Erie), we have a number of crops that are harvested in the fall besides pumpkins! There are all kinds of squash, peppers, onions, corn, apples, beans, tobacco, tomatoes, potatoes, watermelon and the list goes on. We even have one farmer that grows peanuts! The biggest difference between our two nations is the date of Thanksgiving. Ours is the second week of October, not near the end of November!
We had a retirement luncheon at work for one of our employees, and even with choosing the best database entry and not trying to be conservative, I am still under for the day. We went for a 50 minute walk after work.6 -

I too live in the MW! Doesn’t feel Mid because my state borders Canada.
One day I would like my tracking results to actually match the projections “in five weeks you could weigh”
It is very discouraging and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!
I’m not gaining but I’m definitely not going to weight 10 pounds less than I do right now I’m only 5 weeks! I don’t understand if I’m tracking incorrectly5 -

I LOVE to dance, and am pretty good for a "jill of all styles / master of none" but also always want to encourage even those who think they "can't at all" just cause they maybe can't kick high.

@amymh41 The MFP algorithm that is used is completely bogus. Pay no attention to their number. It's better to not believe it than to believe that there is any truthfulness to MFP's prognosis.4

My favorite NM Autumn tradition is roasting green chile. Outside every supermarket and farmer's market there is a chile roaster. So you buy your big bag of chile and they roast them for you right there. The smell is amazing. My second favorite is the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, but that is not happening this year. Third favorite is all the birds arriving at the Bosque del Apache, a wildlife refuge not far from us. I love Autumn.4 -

It is spring here so not really harvest season, instead it’s baby season for many animals. We also don’t really have a National harvest tradition although at school I did go to my friend’s home town that had a Cherry Festival. I have fond memories of time spend with her. We do however have Heritage Day coming up next week 24 September which is also known as Braai Day. A South African version of a bbq is a truly unique experience and can only really be understood if you experience it yourself. We are always being told it is nothing like a bbq overseas.
Pass day 2 for me. It started off well with a wonderful ocean swim and a good day at work. Last day of shift with our volunteers in so not too chaotic for us. My reptiles are eating better as the weather improves and vet was happy with all the animals. My evening plans were cancelled so I went shopping for this weekend camping trip and came home. Binged on series and all my snacks for camping! So definitely over on calories. I should have gone to sleep when the snack attack hit, but today is a new day!
Absolutely loving this weather though. Summer is my favourite and spring holds promise for an amazing season to come. Lockdown is dropping to stage 1 from Monday which means we can have 50% capacity at church etc. Life is really good right now!6 -
