I believe we did these a long time ago. Let's do them again.

And...

Let us know what you think.

Too much smoke here in northern California. Can't even go outside!! 170 in the Unhealthy bracket on the Air Quality Meter. ugh!! No walking...no exercise.
Chris1 -
I got in a 2 mile walk in between helping my mom unpack. She’s an 84 year old dynamo!
Chris how awful not to be able to go outside. Hoping things will get better soon.
Kathy1 -
Kathy, I hope we are all dynamos at 84!! Now if I could only go outside to play!! Tomorrow is supposed to be a smoke-free day...maybe.
We got our flu shots today. It was a drive up at Kaiser. The line wasn't too bad. I'm going to read for the rest of the day and see if I can get out of my funk.

3.92 miles in 74 mins this morning. It was clear and beautiful. (posted this in the September link, too.
)

I forgot to post my Saturday stats - 70 minute walk- 3.4 miles
Sunday was a rest day. I made vegetable soup with beef and corn muffins. My parents loved it and we have leftovers
Monday morning - 70 minutes - 3.43 miles
If completed 8.8 miles of the Georgia 35 mile Breast Cancer Challenge. 26.2 to go!
And I finally saw a weight loss!
Happy dance!

2.3 miles in 46 mins. No workout today. Going back to my original trainer on Wednesday!!! Yes!!
Chris0 -
Hi everyone. Just finished reading all of your posts. So glad to see you are all doing good.
I bought some new shoes to help with my feet. They have been sore. Shoes are called HOKA. So far I am starting to feel better about my feet. Not as sore and back to walking.
Shelley0 -
So happy for all of you getting your walking. Happy dance!! My knee's been acting up, so I'm taking it easy still. Life is getting an extended break.

Walked 2.8 miles - 57 minutes. 23,38 miles to go to complete breast cancer challenge. My parents wNt to go to the park with me today. I’ll walk with them this morning. Then walk by myself this afternoon to try and get in at least 3 miles.
Shelley I feel your pain. My feet are aching as well, especially at night. I’ve been wearing Ryka brand shoes which I’ve always liked. I may have to make a change for awhile.
Chris have fun with your trainer! Also got my flu shot at my doctors visit in late September. My parents got theirs as well.
Paula take care of that knee. I have pain in my left knee but it’s bearable.
Kathy0 -
Thanks, Kathy! She's a blast!
Walked 2.46 miles in 48 mins and did a 60 min workout w/my trainer today.1 -
Paula don't put that knee on the back burner! Just don't turn the stove on! Have it looked at. Maybe new footwear for you also.
Kathy I put off buying these shoes because everyone told me how great they are. They look strange. But my heel is slowly starting to feel better. I walk on concrete or stand on it all day. The type I bought are called Bondi.
Chris look at you go!
I have been trying to get in my steps. Hard to do much at work if I am in security. Just stand and watch people go through the metal detector! Boring.
Shelley0 -
Well, we were supposed to walk this morning but someone said, "Sleep." and I did...BUT after we watched Ronan this morning then did a grocery p/u, I put on my shoes and went out there by myself...repeating..."I will not trip again...I will not trip again..." I actually found the place I did trip. Traces of me are still on the sidewalk! Anyway, I got 3.05 miles done in 55 mins. Not nearly as fast as I was before back surgery, but I'll take it.
Chris2 -
Walked 35min today
Karen0 -
Walked 61 minutes - 3.12 miles. 14.74 down 20.26 to go to meet my challenge.
Kathy1 -
2.25 miles in 43 mins this morning. Working w/my trainer at noon for an hour.
Chris0 -
We did 3.5 miles together then I did the extra little bit to get 4.10 miles in 81 mins. The rest of the day is coffee and reading!!
Chris0 -
Dang, Chris, coffee and reading sounds like heaven!
paula1 -
Took 2 walks today about a total of an hour...beautiful day!0
-
Saturday walked 2.1 miles in 40 minutes in between the rain.
This morning 3 miles in 59 minutes. I have 15.6 miles remaining to complete the 35 mile Breast Cancer Challenge.
Kathy0 -
We walked 3.5 miles in 92 mins. We walked out to a place...the Rocky Road...that we hadn't been to in a while. Man! has it changed. Used to be we could walk up this one ridge and see all the rabbits and see different animal tracks...all leveled for new housing now. Pat got pictures of all the earth-moving vehicles to show Ronan. That part was cool. We tried to figure out where the ridge was and a place we had started collecting things...a mirror, beads, silverware, toys...all changed! Crazy.
Chris0 -
I walked next door to relocate a black widow that was evicted from our front porch.
Chris, I wonder if the 2020 stresses make all the other transitions seem more surreal?
Today was so strange for me; all my deadlines (which have been hanging over my head for years) are done. There's still stuff to do; but no pressure to have too much to do and not enough time to do it in. Not used to that. Looking forward to a new norm. But it's still weird...
paula0 -
I need a LMAO button for you ladies.
I like the challenge you are doing Kathy. It makes you move and helps you to be accountable. I am doing another challenge also. But I think if my FitBit would shock me when I sit to long I would get it done faster. Muahaha
You gals all amaze me. Grab my hand and lets get walking!
PS, found a dead mouse in the camper. Yuch!
Shelley0 -
Shelley, did I ever tell you about the Mouse House in Santa Paula? EGADS!!!
No walking today...but I did workout w/my trainer for 60 mins. It's beautiful here today!
Chris0 -
We walked this morning in the dark...before the sun came up...when it was chilly
...2.20 miles in 43 mins.
Chris1 -

Chris
Mouse House? No, please do tell Chris. You had mice, how nice!
So for one of my challenges I had to do 100 push-ups in one day. I did them on my knees. So need to do better. But either way I will feel it tomorrow.

Walked 3.2 miles this morning. It was 70 degrees...wonderful weather. Done to 11.88 miles to hit my goal.
Kathy.2 -
Too many push ups!!!
So sorry...it was the Ventura Mouse House. Santa Paula was a different kid experience.
We lived in 2-story house...I was in 4th grade. I had a bedroom down stairs that I shared w/my littlest sister Mary. We could open the closet...find mice...open dresser drawers...mice would jump out. Not just one but several. We would lay in bed and listen to the traps set in the kitchen...it was a "Yes." or "No." and we would celebrate the winner in the morning before our mother got up to clean things up. We could wake up in the night and one would be sitting there staring at us. Fond memories. The city condemned the place after we moved out and tore it down. I do not like mice.
Chris1 -
Oh Chris, I was reading your story and thinking how cute to have a house full of pet mice. I don't like them hiding in the house and coming out at night and leaving poop everywhere; but visiting during the day, would be cool for me.
I caught a very large black widow yesterday (put her in a plastic cup and could see the red hourglass on her abdomen). I let her go under our shed next door...1 -
I cleaned the last corner of the garage today. Was sweaty and exhausted after a few hours, so it was definitely a good workout! Beautiful day.
paula1 -
Walked 30 min yesterday....my new fitbit has that buzzing feature that makes me move each hour (my old one was a dinosaur) lol.
