Shrinking Assets - October 2020 Team Chat

Hi Teammates! I have had a bit of a slow start this month. I had been on the team before, but not very active. Looking to improve in this area and others, too! Can't wait to get to know you all!
A bit about me, I'm 53, mom to 3, sons 34 and almost 15 and a daughter almost 31. We have 7 grandkids, 14-1. I have been lucky to spend the last 20 years with a wonderful man that is my soulmate for sure! I work as an Optical Technician, I'm on my feet a lot when the Dr. is in, but I don't register many steps.
I have had a weight problem all of my life. My family was overweight and had food issues that I inherited and added a few of my own. I'm trying to shake that all or nothing mentality for a more balanced one. I started yo-yoing a few years ago at 389.9 and have been down to 321, but as of this week I'm at 350.4.
I injured my knee last year. I started treating it in June. I have a left torn menicus, and my right knee is compromised trying to compensate for the left, and did I add that they found underlying osteoarthritis. I have had 2 rounds of cortisone shots and I have PT every other week.
I use CI/CO, set at 1600 but shooting for under that most days. I have my diary open to friends, so feel free to add me. Hoping to finish the year strong!

Sorry running in without responding to any other posts.....
Didn't complete on any of my three daily intentions yesterday but seeing that as a learning curve not a failure, I learnt:
1) on late finish days i have to get workouts done in the morning
2) when I'm at my office near home i won't get 10k steps without a walk at some point in the day
3) I've just got to get my logging done....
On a positive note I had a good food day. And, im resetting my intentions for today..... let's go!6 -
Not sure if this is a NSV or a βdarn it, gotta buy more clothesβ. This is the pile of clothes that no longer fit and have to be sorted for the charity shop or recycling. Happily it includes the interim cheap things I bought as a stop gap when I wasnβt prepared to invest good money knowing I had quite a lot more weights to lose ππΌ11 -

@Beka3695 can I be put on the Support Group? I have to take a break. My hemoglobin levels is dropping and my doctor wants to do some testing to see what is going on. I am not sticking to a strict gluten free diet and that causes problems sometimes. I will be on the side line cheering everyone on. I love the idea of having a step competition. Hope everyone have a great day ππππππππ

Absolutely. You are welcome to post weights on cheer squad if you would like. It will not count towards the team, but if you just want the accountability.
Hope you figure thing about quick!0 -
@LaurieWrobo gorgeous! I'm so pleased you all had a lovely day.
@TheMrWobbly nice work!
@Curvybaja55 hope you're feeling well again soon.
I had a hideous day at work.... caused a major *kitten* up and spent the rest of the day trying to fix it. Walked home in a foul mood thinking I'd miss my intentions again..... but nope. Got in, did my workout which got me my steps after a mini walk at lunch. Now I've had a yummy tea and logged the day. Boom.....4 -

Held steady after birthday celebrations and weekend away! I will take it... my goal was under 130 by our trip to Cabo Oct 25th. As slow as this is... Don't think I will make it, but will do my best!
Everyone have a good weekend!

Well, took the test today and it's negative. Now I'm really hoping Flo would show up soon so I could stop waiting around and resume a sense of normal. I need to get off the struggle bus at the next stop, it's only going to get harder now that each day is a little shorter and darker than yesterday.9

I have felt pretty good about my weight and eating this week, to step on the scale this morning and be up. I am gonna assume its probably all the soy sauce I had on my dinner last night.2

Rather surprised at the loss, guessing Iβm somewhat dehydrated. I injured my knee on Tuesday. Guessing that while at the gym, my brain said βYes, I can do it!β But my knee said βUm, no.β Havenβt walked since Monday and Iβm back on Celebrex. Iβm really frustrated about this.7 -
