I don't even remember why, but I stopped using a ticker years ago. I track my miles in Garmin so I just go there and type the total here. Seems easier than bothering with a ticker, though the graphics aren't as good.

    I'm at 30/50.

I love my Garmin. I just got the Edge 1030 last year. I had the edge 520 for LOTS of years before that but my eyes got too bad to see the numbers when I got all my data on the screen. My 1030 is strange. The battery drains when I shut it off but not when I put it in sleep mode. I don't know why. I just put it in sleep now. My 520 still works so I use it for my Fat Tire since I'm only riding for fun and don't need to see any numbers.

@sufferlandrian At 28, everything is an issue!!! LOL

In the more than you care to know category. I started lifting for the first time in years (8+) October 1 so I adjusted my walking miles. I gained 4-5 pounds the first week. Based on what I read, that is water weight delivering nutrients and repair to the micro tears in the muscles, so not necessarily a bad thing. But mentally it bugged me so I've increased my walking instead of decreasing it (not necessarily a good thing) to continue to loss some weight.

@K80FLEC - You're making sure ALL the tickers work!

@JOEMO - I totally understand! I've done the same thing. But it will balance out. And the muscle will start burning more calories so more weight will start coming off after a couple of weeks. Make sure you're drinking lots of water every day...like 80-100 oz.

It's finally FRIIIIDAAAAY!!!! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Was out of town for a little bit for a short vacay 3 hrs up north. I then went to try my exercise ticker, and something was up with the website. Hope it works below.

I don't know what the Edge is but I'm guessing it's for cyclists. I have the 935. The pages can be customized to only show one field at a time so I can read it without my glasses. The most important feature for me is the run/walk alert. I also like the workouts I can program. The 935 works the best of any of the Garmins I have owned. The battery lasts a week or more depending on how long I have the GPS tracking on. Before the 935 I only wore my HRM watch when I worked out. I wear this one all the time since it does constant step counting and heart rate and sleep monitoring. Plus my texts pop up on it - not that I can read them without my reading glasses.

Yes. The Edge models are for cycling. Like your 935 you can change the fields in the screens but I’m a bit anal retentive when training. I want speed/distance/HR/cadence/watts/time/temp. When you put seven things on the screen, numbers get a bit small. 😉. I had a Yahoo for awhile but I like the Garmin better. The garmin does maps and segments. It will even put a rider on the screen so I can see how I’m doing against my best ride or my last ride.
