Halloween UAC Champions...
Tonight, before I do the discussion starter for November 1, I am going to go back through the last few day of the month to create a UAC Champions list. Our Champions are those who stick with the program and keep on posting. IMO: Tracking intake and exercise is the foundational healthy habit. It triggers thoughtfulness. Once we become thoughtful about what we put into our body, the rest of the habits will just fall into place.
I am so proud of each one of us who keep on tracking and posting through the entire month. You are truly Champions!8 -
I did it! Awesome evening with my sushi sisterhood enjoying one of my favourite foods but planned my day well so I had enough calories for the evening. Exercise was a walk with mom in the morning. My watch didn’t count that as exercise as my heart rate didn’t get high enough but for rest day it was perfect. Donated blood as well this morning and has a quiet restful day. Ready to smash next month as well, starting with Jiu Jitsu competition squad session in the morning.7

Today's hike put me on the safe side w.r.t. calories and made me end well a complicated month. No winner, but I consistently reported.4

I'm ending this month with a couple of pass days. However - I have also lost close to 2kg (my monthly target), fewer pass days than last month and - best of all - not a single binge day! Plus I've started back into a very gentle running routine. Looking at it this way, October's actually been quite a success 😊6

Once per year I eat lots of store bought candy. This is the day.
Once per year, I eat lots of home cooked fudge, brownies and pumpkin pie. This is not that day.

I was going to take a pass day today since I've only had two. I did my walk in the chilly air with hubby and doggie so I got my exercise in. When I added up my calories they were under...quiet a suprise since I snacked more today. However I skipped lunch and ate an early dinner so guessing that kept me under. Not the best of choices but still under so only 2 passes for me this month.

Calories: I went over my 1200 for the day and ended with 1,468 calories ( I didn't exercise as long today and had a few treats today and Chipolte dinner with my daughter )
Pass Days: I am using a pass day today since I am over on my calories and I finish month with 2 remaining.
My day started very early and super busy! I cleaned the whole house, walked on treadmill 30 mins, my daughter came over and we spent day shopping for shoes to go with her dress for baby shower, finished our last few details to be done for shower, ate some Chipolte we had delivered to house, had a few treats ( gluten free chocolate cupcake and 2 Reese Peanutbutter cups, one chocolate fudge popsicle) I could easily go down to basement and burn more calories off to not use the pass day, but I deserve a break day and I shouldn't feel guilty about it! I did great for month of October. I weighed for first time since I started on October 1st and I lost a total of 6 pounds this month! The week before we started the challenge I joined Myfitnesspal and started logging and exercised and lost 6 pounds in that week. I think so much because its water weight and a shock to the body on how many calories I actually was eating! So I lost 12 pounds total since joining last week in September. I am 5'2 and now weigh 137. My ideal goal weight is 115, so 22 more pounds to go!
Congrats to all the members in this group! Looking forward to the next month challenge. I know already 2 pass days I want to use ( my daughter's baby shower on Saturday after Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving ) so gonna have to really be careful next month!5 -

Was gonna make Saturday a major pass day, but I just didn't want to eat a bunch of sweets. Slightly feeling overtired and rundown the last two days, I know sugar works against my immune system in that situation. Sooooo, I might have slightly gone over in calories but I don't think so. Either way I had one pass day left so I'm good!2

My planks were to be 10 reps of 30 seconds. Instead, I managed 5 reps of 1 min each. Never mind that it was done in the space of almost 20 min lol I'm taking this as a mini victory. And, therefore, my pass day. The logic follows 😭
