The November Walk Challenge starts....in just a few days! Now is the time to be thinking about our new individual monthly challenge goals!
Having Leslie's, or other walking DVDs, to pop in the player can be a great addition to walking outdoors in November. For those who are enjoying walking or hiking outdoors might well continue to be a pleasant alternative to the DVDs. For those walkers who live where there is more rain, or perhaps snow, the DVDs are a tremendous help when it is impossible to get outside for a walk.
This group is open to any and all walkers 🏃♀️🚶♀️ . The majority of us use Leslie Sansone Walk At Home 📀 DVD workouts as well as Walking DVDs by other favorite instructors. Remember to take advantage of the great walks 👟 or hikes 🥾 outside on the trails or pathways that might still be available to us, or a walk in our neighborhood or perhaps on the treadmill. All of these many options count toward our miles, steps or minutes. However you get your walk in, or however you like to keep track of it... come on in and join us! Post your miles, minutes, or steps that you have walked, however you did it... it is all good! In fact it is much more than 'good', it is quite awesome and wonderful .
We are a happy, supportive group, and I promise that joining this walk challenge will motivate, challenge, as well as inspire you!
Set your personal goal for how many miles, minutes, or steps that you want to walk, indoors or out, this month. This is your own personal goal . Post your results daily, weekly, or whenever you like. It is such an encouragement to read each others' posts.
If you find this challenge somewhere in the middle of the month, or even near the end, no need to wonder if you can join in because it doesn't matter which day of the month that you join in. Just set your goals to reflect what you want to walk for the remaining days in the month. You are always welcome !
So, if you are new to the group please feel free to start today so that by the end of the month you will be that much closer to your health goals. It is never too late to join in!
It is always fun to read which DVD, whether Leslie or another instructor, that you used. Or whatever form your walk took, whether outdoors or on the treadmill or anything in between. We all could use some new inspiration or ideas sometimes, or inquiring minds sometimes just want to know . So please share if you would want to .
Come on in, and let's start walking the Monthly Walk Challenge together. I know that I always write this each month, however, I am truly grateful for each one of our precious walkers who continue to inspire and motivate mile by mile, and step by step, each month.
I know that we are all excited to see our long time faithful walking friends join us for yet another amazing month together, and we are awaiting the opportunity to welcome newcomers to this month's Walk Challenge!
So... lace up those walking shoes and get some water... and maybe a heavier jacket, as we begin to walk outside, or indoors, into November 2020! We have only two months left in this year 😲, so for the next two months lets really walk strong in order to end this year with increased strength 💪 and stamina 🏃♀️😅 .
Let us walk with thankful hearts .

Some old, some new...
1) set fitbit fireworks for 6000 minimum steps daily, even on work days
2) walk with my band 1x weekly
3) stretch with a yoga video and soak muscles in a salt bath weekly
4) do some type of dance video 1x weekly
5) hit 15k steps 1 day weekly!!
This should give me a little variety and some reachable goals to start us through the cold season here. I fear my outdoor walks are probably mostly on hold till spring now 🥶2 -
@mypinkbikini well thought out plan for chilly November!
My goal for this month will be to keep using the rebounder (divided sessions or all at one time), and also continuing with the easy outdoor walking, weather permitting. Perhaps on some days you might even catch me in the yard/garden 🌻 puttering around or raking leaves 🍂.
November 1: Rest Day!

November Goals
83 Miles Tracked
Apple Watch Challenge: 6 workouts of at least 15 minutes.
This week the weather will give me 1 last chance of some outdoor walks and I'm hoping to take advantage of them.
I'm still coming out of the emotional haze of what 2020 brought me but now I'm hoping we can finish up on a strong note.3 -
7500 steps today and nearly an hour of indoor walking. More indoor steps coming tomorrow...1
-
2 hours to hit my 15k steps!! Thank goodness for reality TV on these walks indoors 🤣2
-
@Deeder522 Excellent goals for this month. So true that 2020 has been a very rough year all around. We are right with you wanting to end stronger this year, perhaps even stronger than we even could hope for about now.
@mypinkbikini 15k steps today is certainly making watching reality TV a win-win activity 😂😁!!

My attention span isn't there today, I knew it when I woke up at 430 am exhausted but anxious and unable to sleep again. Ah well, much love from here to all of you today as the US faces elections.
This morning we caffeinated, voted
And then I got a little exercise in before brunch. A 10 minute barre dance workout on you tube, a 15 minute walk with the newest girl Brittany (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you're looking for a quick walk that will work you hard and make you sweat in 1 mile- I like her and will try with her again sometime), and then a cool down walk with leslie for 30 minutes total movement.
I haven't hit 6k steps yet today so I'm hoping for a gentle stroll indoors later when I feel cold again while I watch something silly. For now... brunch and booze!3 -
Hi All! Going for at least 2 yoga and 2 strength workouts a week. I have really slacked on the yoga and why I don't know cause I feel great afterwards. I did fairly well last month with strength, averaging 2 workouts a week.

1-mile morning walk today followed by yard work of weed whipping and mulch leaf dumping. I'm using this wonderful weather to my advantage as much as I can.3

A very light 6000 steps today at work. Sigh. Hoping to get a little more energy in tomorrow. Nothing left for tonight.4

I had 4800 steps at work. It felt like 48000. In tired. I'm going to try to hit 6k before bed but we'll see.3
