Thank you @rangerrickl
My best solution to worry is from the Bible.
This is the part that always bring me back to my senses when I start to worry.
(Luke 12:22–31)
25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns— and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat? or ‘What shall we drink? or ‘What shall we wear?
32 For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

Favorite summer activity is likely why I am here - probably "eating". I am not a summer person. Fall is my favorite. I am not a bright sun, heat, humidity, or water person. So of course it made a lot of sense that hubby and I bought a place in the Florida Keys last year. I think I'm going to need to find a better favorite summer "activity". :P

@craigo3154 I know exactly how you feel! I really needed my meds for anxiety and depression for awhile. It was a VERY scary time for awhile. It was due to severe back issues and pain that led to this. The meds not only helped, but caused many side effects that were not good, one which you mentioned above and also weight gain. Then after weight gain more anxiety and depression and around and around we go! I finally had enough and weaned off myself, then told my doc, and have gotten back to my old self! Good luck to you my friend!
@WMEJA ..Sorry to hear you will be leaving the group! Good luck to you on your health and fitness journey!
@RangerRickL ..What books to I like to read for anxiety and worry? Well I too like @MaltedTea like to read the Bible. I prefer listening to sermons as sometimes the Bible and language can get a bit confusing and the sermon takes the reading and breaks it down better for me. I just finished my book about giving and now am reading a book titled: There Are No Children Here Author: Alex Kotlowitz. Its a true story that takes place in Chicago Illinois. Its starts out around the 1960's and goes into the early 1990's. Reading it I can remember some things they are talking about, but was to little to understand back then. When it gets to Summer of 1989 I am preparing to get married and in the book people in Chicago are dying every day due to gangs and viloence, wondering how they will afford to take care of the children etc..even though I lived only 45 mins away from all of this I was in my own little World. Not only do I read self help books, but ones like these to open my awareness and to really stop and think how blessed I truly am. Every day now I start to think about the people in this story and their lives. How for granted I take my nice hot shower every morning, the food that is in my fridge, the clothes on my back, the house I live in, the car I drive, the job I have, the education I was able to get, not worrying every day about my loved ones being shot, the list goes on and on! I am blessed and need to remember that when feeling down or anxious about things. Not everyone is blessed in this way and we really need to find away to make everyone blessed.6 -
After the insanely active day I had yesterday (ended the day with more than 36K steps) I took today off as a rest day, making this Pass Day #1 for the month.6
