I noticed weight going up when I dont hidrate enough. Water & tea are my rescues when I'm working (on the computer, seated all the time). They help me to avoid snacking.
However, I dont think #7 is a good idea. You'd need to pee during the night and if you're like me, sometimes you'll wake up completely if you need to go to the loo and other times your brain will try to ignore the signals, to protect your sleep, but your body will keep saying "it's time" so you'll just toss and toss..4 -
Day's summary:
Tracked, a tiny amount of calories left (have to improve on that!!! 🍶, as said above) and active (almost 1h 🚴♀️ and a 30 min HIIT 🔥 w. 🏋️♀️, HR's Week 3 Day 2).
Wonderful surprise tonight: I usually workout when the kids are in bed or not in the house. With all the lockdown they did see me workout a few times and also saw my dumbells. So night the smallest said "mommy, can we do one of these workouts together?" (I once showed him a kockboxing workout, thinkig he might get interested). 🥰 The oldest came over and asked if he could join, too. 🥰 Then said he'd like muscles as mine 😂🤦♀️ and how long IT's take him. Then borrowed the smallest weights, to lift every now and then on his own during the day 💪.
There you have ir, one of the biggest NSV❣Investment in the future, I call it!8 -
P.S., me again: did you know that our brain sometimes confuses thirst for hunger? Sometimes after biking or running I feel like having a granola bar when all I need is water!6

1:36 mins all - very tired, but persevered. Those are the days I get stronger!
I was told to drink an oz of water for every kilogram of wt or half wt in lbs.
That’s 70-76 oz per day or 9 cups for me.
In the summer I drink 6 pints as it’s hot & I exercise. So a bit more than they recommend.
In the winter I’m drink 4-5 pints
I only count water - not tea or coffee.
The 2 reasons I drink water:
I have one kidney & my dr’s told me to.
I took a nutrition class & learned that WATER is needed for the chemical reactions that convert our food to nutrients (our body’s building blocks!) Sold!
@SummerSkier
I have looked into the 8 cups a day (also the 10% saturated fat calories & 10K steps), and most of them someone pulled out of a hat 🤣😁
I know you eat a lot of produce which is a huge water source so it would make sense you would need less H2O
Also I know people who sweat & others that never do. So many individual factors!!5 -

This is the 4th day I blew it. I hope to auto-correct today.
Exercise: YES - ran 3.8 miles
Calories: No, overdid it at dinner
Tracked: YES5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes, carrying some heavy boxes at work for upper body strength (not required), slow walking over 8 hours and disinfecting public areas because of the virus
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes, well under
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Good reminder to drink water.
I drink flavored water (Nestle Splash, the lemon or berry) at work. I don't care for regular water unless I'm outside and exhausted and then anything is great. I will drink the flavored kind -- but it does contain sucralose (Splenda), which worries me. I also eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, which contain H2O, so I think I'm getting enough.3 -

Ssooo, I've been on a bit of hiatus since the Labour Day weekend. But I keep logging in and trying to eat mindfully even if I haven't been 'officially' with the program. But I think I'm back with it now; at least today is Nov 22 and I have been logging and staying within or very close to my calorie goal for 5 days now.
For Nov 18: yes & yes to logging and staying within my calorie goal, no to exercise.2 -
