NOBODY fails out of the UAC!!
Lots of people quit, but we want you to stay and develop healthy habits...
Yesterday, @victorious55 posted this very succinct truth...
"Welcome new members. This group has the simplest but most profound principles of weight loss and maintenance.
You will definitely find the process of the 3 Yeses changing you. It did for me. The group is very interactive and supportive.
We will encourage you to be in the Winner's circle but if not please don't drop out. Be in the Champion's group:)"14 -

3 yes's for me once again . Started the day off with a 4 mile run but my leg keeps playing up so I'll take it easy on the longer runs. I then did a 2 mile walk home/on the beach and also my youtube workout. Hooray for 1000 calories from exercise.

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, just dipped into my extra workout calories and i have no regrets.

Ate well and logged it all so I know I was well under budget but I took another rest day and didn’t even get to yoga. I need to run tomorrow to earn enough points for this month’s Watch payment (benefit scheme for my insurance) so I will be back on track tomorrow. Our monthly sushi sisterhood was cancelled as our city is currently a COVID hotspot and we all know it’s not the best idea right now. I did spend time today doing some meal prep so I have some meals ready made and for others I made pre weighted bags so I just grab them and cook.8

Excellent post by @victorious55 🌺
Over 400 cal left (I keep having this feeling that I forgot to log something, but the truth is, I didnt snack much and that's where most of my calories go, usually! Anyway, the buffer is big enough! 😉). Tabata/HIIT for 30 min and a cool Madfit dance workout today 💃.
As for the sleep... meh 🤦♀️. Woke up after 1,5hrs and stayed up usesly for a couple of hours. Left me with little till the alarm went off. Putting one of my 5 cards down. 🤨7 -
Exercise: Yes. 1 hr Bodypump, no running today. Trying to remedy a hip bursitis flare. I used to go to PT and had xrays and orthopedic assessments and all, it just boils down to having one leg ever so slightly longer and stronger than the other. Bodypump helps hugely, it seems to tighten up what I call loose screws in the joints. At least it feels that way. When I do Bodypump a few times a week, I can run long with zero pain and aches. If I skip it, boy do I get hell....
Calories: Yes. Closing kitchen early tonight.

Amazingly, I completed everything on my Thursday list earlier than usual and was able to do a few extra things. So, it was errand day. Also did a little yard work and more “getting the house ready to sell” project stuff. (Lots of walking, stairs, hauling, lifting.)7 -

@globalhiker that as really interesting thank you. I'm having hip troubles at the moment and never used to when I got to regular body pump and similar classes. I know I need to make time for this so thanks for the reminder.5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. I cleaned my house for an hour. I was an usher at work today. So I got some more steps in.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes. I was on point. I wasn't over nor under.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes. I was tempted at work by the smells of the conession stand in the lobby and in the auditorium during intermission. I stuck with my water whenever I was tempted. If I cheated I'd only be cheating myself.

Walked 45 mins on the treadmill working my way up to 3.5mph. Also did 30 mins of Pilates with a YouTube video. I am in a fitbit "workweek hustle" challenge this week with someone who is really giving me a run for my money! By yesterday morn, we (her and I) were already up to almost 60k steps!! No matter how many steps I get, when I check, she's 1500-2k ahead of me! So I'm becoming OBSESSED! Lol.
I got 20k steps yesterday and will get 30k today.... but I'm sure glad tomorrow is Friday and this challenge will be OVER! 😀8 -

Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
Here we go!

Thursday, December 3
First pass day. My infusion was tough today. I like to schedule them later in the day so I don’t lose the whole day but it’s not always possible having them every 4 weeks. So today’s was early. All day under a blanket on the couch. Hopefully I will be up and going tomorrow as good as new.
I was thankful for @RangerRickL , because I’m reading How do Stop Worrying and Start Living. I actually found many positive things while sitting in the chair with the book.

I had said I would get both a sunset and a sunrise pic during my days in the keys. Here is sunset, but not as good as I hoped. The angle of the sun seems different and the sunset from he condo was not the same as last spring. But this pic was easy, I walked outside. Hopefully my sunrise will be worth the 3.3 mile walk each way, when I go for it in a few days.

Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (min 40%)? YES[/b] | 40% (2 out of 15 days)
This 12-week workout protocol requires VERY little cardio. For example, tomorrow is an active rest day and the suggestion is 15-20 min of cardio. So far, it doesn't feel like I'm doing much so I'm hoping to see 👀 progress by month-end. That requires taking pictures regularly which I'm not a fan of doing but I don't want to lose motivation otherwise.7 -
