Too often, we are the ones who tell ourselves that we can't do something. If we don't try, we prove ourselves 'right".
You can achieve healthy habits and if you have achieved healthy habits, then you can keep those habits.

3x’s yes. I ate to my max calories- thank goodness I pre-logged and followed up with weighing and measuring. Taco night can easily get out of control.
I played around with increasing my exercise as I’m working around an injured back/hip (caused by a mostly dormant birth defect).
I alternated some light lifting with my spinning for an hour- it felt great. I really wanted to push but I stopped before I felt any stress.9 -

Eating was okay, exercising decent (kinda rest day, but I did a 15 min legs workout and walked quite a bit). Sleeping was duh! 😏
No UAC passes, but 3 out of 5 of my sleep passes. I really have to limit caffeine intake to 2 p.m., the latest.7 -

Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (min 40%)? YES | 41% (6 out of 15 days)
Today was supposed to be an actual rest day but I decided to jump on a Zoom workout at the last minute (which I did half-heartedly, at best), after having run an errand for my Crush (who needs a 10 lb bag of onions? White onions, no less?!) and moved furniture because my Christmas tree fell and soaked the carpet. So, like, zero rest.
This means my pre-logged day has plenty of room for popcorn or protein chips but I don't want to mess with my personal bonus...
Oh what a tangled web is woven when first we attempt the macros chosen 🤨8 -

Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
Here we go!

exercise - kind of minimal -Pushed Buddy a few turns around the park.
It was the stuff of pure joy.
He is a little boy that is always going to be a little boy.
Hasn't got much of a vocabulary, only laughter.
That makes him a good boy.
He don't fuss when he wants attention.
He laughs.
He wants me to take him to the park,
He scoots into the vestibule and laughs.
I pack him into his wheel chair, we head out.
He laughs and laughs with the satisfaction of having communicated his desire to go outside.
He laughs and laughs the satisfaction of me accommodating him.
We go to the park and I contrive a circuit that has about ten or so feet of elevation gain to it.
The top of that loop is a little grassy knoll that descends that 10 feet in a lateral distance of 25 or 30 feet maybe.
I charge him up at the top with the expectation of excitement.
We dash down it. I am along side at a quick step, almost a run, holding on with one hand.
I chatter to him the excitement.
He is laughing, laughing, laughing.
Want to do it again?
He is laughing non stop.
We go again and again.
Me and that little boy have a feedback loop of happiness and laughter going.
Pure joy.5 -
