@newbie2143 - how do you like the Peloton app? I bought myself a Peloton Bike+ for Christmas, so I'll be using the app. They have a wait list, so bike arrival date is Feb. 23rd.4

January is the month of disappearing resolutions.
You can overcome that cycle! You are on the right team.
You are the boss. You choose your own exercises. You choose your own calorie limit. If you want weight loss you choice of limit should lead you to your goal. If you are maintaining, then your choice of limit should be designed to support your healthy lifestyle.
We are here to encourage and support each other!
Make this the start of a more healthy and energetic life.

Question: What is the difference between a UAC Winner's Circle Qualifier and a Champion?
Answer: I'll use myself, RangerRickL as an example.
If during the month of January, I post regularly; track all of my caloric intake; each day consume fewer calories than my chosen calorie limit; and exercise at least 20 minutes, and have no more than 3 days in which I miss those targets, then I will be a qualifier for the end of the month Winner's Circle.
Note: I must hit all daily targets...calories, exercise and tracking. If I miss any one of the 3 then I 'earn' a Pass Day. One is only allowed 3 Pass days per month.
Last month, December, I had more than 3 Pass days. It's mighty hard for normal mortals to only have 3 Pass Days in December. BUT, 19 team members did that amazing feat!!!!
On the other hand, the UAC is focused on helping me and you develop healthy habits. To encourage and reinforce the foundation of the UAC, those who actively and regularly post throughout the month are recognized as
UAC Champions.
Many of our team members have accomplished their goals by staying focused on the long-term. They are UAC Champions.
During the last 4+ years, some months I qualify for the Winner's Circle. On the other hand, during the last 4+ years, I do post throughout the month and focus on the UAC goals.
The accountability has helped me to maintain my weight within a 5 lb range.
This challenge is a lot harder than it seems.
Winner's Circle is our highest honor.
UAC Champions deserve a whole lot of respect.

what a great day to make progress on our journeys!
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
I did! I completed a 7 min HIIT workout along with a 30 min walk, and a 15 min stretch. I also was active on my feet throughout my 8 hour shift.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
I reached my calorie goal for the first time this year actually which is huge for me as i’m trying to gain weight and have been struggling to max out and reach a large caloric surplus.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank
I did. Now on to the next day and keeping the progress rolling (:
Hope everyone is feeling great this new years ❤️7 -

For some reason, I thought this began on Jan. 4. My mistake. I did meet all requirements for the last two days though. Does this mean that I am out of the challenge or can still continue?4

Today’s quick xcski trip oh so quiet and peaceful got my 1/2 hour here15 -
Firstly, Yay for Bandit!!!!!
I started with my daily yoga, abs and today was shoulder rehab which got me a nice 30 minutes. Then I had a lazy day, but my Apple Watch circles were not closed and I was nowhere near 10000 steps (which gives me points towards rewards through my insurance and bank) so I went for a 90 minute walk in the evening. (I didn’t plan it being quite that long but it was awesome). I’ll add a photo of one of the reasons why I love my city. This picture is taken just over 1 km from my house. I walked passed horses and donkeys and cows. It was so good.
Food choices were good and all logged and under budget. Still being good with the no treats for two weeks. Enjoying my healthy options instead including homemade oat milk ice cream.

Um, ignore the second photo. I must have added it by accident and I can’t edit posts on my phone.1

No one gets kicked out of this challenge. If you have met the requirements then you haven’t used pass days and still have all three available. If you do use more than three pass days you are encouraged to stay in the challenge and achieve the champions award for sticking with it even when it doesn’t go according to plan.7 -
That’s exactly what I thought! Beautiful puppies5 -

firstly. This is Bandit's "oh crap, she is on to me and back to work" face yesterday evening. LOL. But I give him credit. Altho I could feel the coiled springs when we went out he was a good man and did not take a step out of place. Today he should enjoy turnout so will be a lot more manageable to ride.
Love all the snow pics (from afar thankyouvurrymush) and those 3 dogs looks like they would be a blast to play with in the snow. @Dory_42 I love that you have a TIGGER tattoo. It seems to suit you quite well. And I love it when I start an exercise intending for it to be "so long" and then it just becomes so enjoyable that it becomes Soooooooo Looooong. What a beautiful area you live in for sure. No more seal pup photos for a while?January is the month of disappearing resolutions.
You can overcome that cycle! You are on the right team.
perfection not required here. Just participation. Really loving all the activity.
