IF in your 40s?

Hi! I’m new to the MyFitnessPal community. Looking to make some fitness friends as well as connect with others who are on the journey to lose COVID weight!! I’m getting back into exercising regularly and trying out intermittent fasting (IF). Anyone had any luck with IF?

Hi Skinnyjeanmom, I am 49 and am newly back to MFP! I need to lose my Covid regain and would love to be friends! I haven't tried IF but have been reading some about it and am interested in learning more.

Hi! I am newly back to MFP as well and determined to lose 25lbs the right way. I am on week 2 of IF and so far I love it! I am also tracking macros with MFP. I started with 18:6 but am finding this week that 17:7 is becoming my sweet spot. I use the app Zero for IF tracking.

IF can be a great tool for weight loss, but most people think it's about significant calorie restriction. It shouldn't be. Rather it is intended to all your insulin levels to remain lower longer so you can burn fat.

If you have any questions about IF, I'd be glad to help.
