If you have not yet posted your Non Scale Victories, today would be another great day to do that.
In addition, please go back and read yesterday's NSVs too.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes just housework
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? No went over. I had visitors which is usually the time i over eat, i tried so hard and ate well all day and night, however wen they left at 9.30 i decided to snack and went over. Really dissapointed in My self but im trying to not beat My self up about it too much and instead try to understand the why so i can avoid this next time.

Using first pass day.
2 more remaining for the month.8 -
I was going to take a pass day but when I logged my food it was under budget so I did my 10 minute yoga and then some stretches while watching series.
Spent most of the day cuddling with my dog. He was much worse this morning so went to the vet expecting to have to say goodbye to him but vet wants X-rays and they didnโt have power today so he got extra meds and we go back first thing on Monday to get X-rays and then make an informed decision.19 -
Saturday 16th January:
3 x Yes.
Travelling and examining today. The exam venue was a fair clop from the station, so I got an hour's walk in, dragging my suitcase.
Spending the night in a hotel in Marseille. Because of 6pm curfew eating options limited. The delivery options are mostly pizza and burgers, but the hotel offered a delicious carrot soup and a fish stew. I had to take an educated guess at the calories, but with the walk I am pretty sure I am under budget.10 -

@Dory_42 it is SO hard when our loved pets are failing. Hope that you have a wonderful weekend with your old boy. <<<hugs>>>
My NSV is that today officially I realized after 46 years, the scale does no longer rule my life. I can't count how many years I always got up, had coffee, ran, showered and then WEIGHED always with an eye to being the lowest weight I could be and consistency. No way to vary the routine. Not even possible to wash my hair in the shower because well wet head = pounds right? Well, I stopped weighing all the time last June. I do weigh occasionally but it's not mandatory and the scale no longer sets the mood for the entire day.
So that said. Now I am FREE to get up and drink my coffee, have some breakfast, do other things and after it warms up go for my run. I have told myself for years if I did not run FIRST thing I would never do it but turns out that was the scale talking.
My running will only improve as I give myself permission to break those rediculous rules I set for myself so many years ago.

This is by far the BEST NSV that I have read thus far! @RangerRickL this one NEEDS to be the start of tomorrow's day! I, too, have felt the way you have, SummerSkier! I too, no longer let that scale define my success! What a WONDERFUL feeling it is to be free of that insanity and pure madness! Thank you so much for your post and honesty! Your friendship has helped many people in the UAC today, in case you didn't realize! Thanks again, Gina!3 -
had the day off but had to keep on the grind!
exercise: flexibility, a 2.5 mi walk and some cool down did it for me!
budget: not an issue today as my appetite hasnโt been there sadly.
tracking: ez pz!
hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend!3 -

I had a long bike ride this morning up the hill behind my house and stopped and looked at the views and took a photo of a striking tree. The roads were running with water and huge puddles but the sun shone for a while.
@Dory_42, I feel for you, I had to say goodbye to my cat just a couple of weeks before Christmas. So sad when we lose a pet. Make the most of the cuddles for today.

@donna25trinity Don't beat yourself up about overeating when visitors come to your home! We all have experienced this too! We start with great intentions, and then somehow, we have failed. YOU did NOT fail! You realized this is a mistake you often make, and now you are thinking about what you can do to change this! Bravo to you! Cheer up, let it go, get back to the grind!
@Dory_42 I am so sorry to hear the doggie is not doing well still! It also sucks that the vet is closed until Monday! It is tough to wait when it concerns our beloved pets, our family! My prayers and thoughts for a good outcome!
@Chinkir Welcome to the group, or should say welcome back! I was not in the group when you last were! My name is Gina. Welcome! I just wanted to point out that your post was VERY inspiring! You are out of town, healthy food choices are scarce, but you managed to choose an option that was pretty darn healthy and tried to calculate calories best as you could! I am PROUD of you!
@Bovaryoo Sorry that you are experiencing Vertigo! I, too, have had Vertigo! If one has not had it, I don't wish it on anyone! Praying that yours doesn't last too long and you can get back to your normal self!
I just got some spare time today while the hubby is out at the barn ( not an actual barn, but a huge pull barn where he builds hotrods and is doing some work on our new hotrod), and I can spend some time reading your posts and commenting on them. I do read ALL posts eventually, but I don't always get the time that day to do so! Commenting on posts also helps me practice my writing skills. My dream to become a published author someday! I also would LOVE to add more of you to my friend's list! I seem not to know how to do this very well! So if you do, want to be friends also, can you please send me the request?2 -
NSV is my bench press #s and deadlifts. Loving that I'm challenging and stretching may body to take these steps. At and tracked.3

@lesdarts180 Way to go on the exercise today! I see you are using some of the suggestions our wonderful Miss Molly Madison has given you! Bravo on listening and taking some photos of the tree and taking in the sights and sounds around you! You noticed the water puddles in the street and felt the wonderful sun shining down on you! I am sorry to hear about your beloved pet passing away around Christmas. It is so tough to say goodbye to our friends, our family, our pets!
@Stella7x7 Sorry you are experiencing some knee pain today! I, too, know what pain feels like and how debilitating it can sometimes become! I have been told by the surgeon I need to have a fusion in my lower back! However, I have chosen NOT to do the surgery (I already had back surgery 5 years ago ). I STOPPED taking ALL my prescription meds, started taking holistic ones instead, joined this group, got the extra weight off, and started exercising every day! All of these changes have helped me.
@shredsx Way to stay with the GRIND today despite it being the weekend! I just sent out a quote today to my friends and family that I send quotes to. My quote was about the GRIND!
It goes like this! The GRIND doesn't stop just because it's Saturday!
