Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes 30 min walk with bub, lots of cleaning followed by a 25min Hiit squat workout at 9.30pm. I am on the go with bub from 7am till at least 8pm everyday but hve now started hiit to loose that last bit of weight, i am however mindful that i am still recovering from the birth of bub so trying not to go too hard too fast to avoid injury and to ensure success.

@Summerskier I only check by what time I am in bed as I do not own a fitness tracker or smart watch.
I have yet to find one that I would wear over a classic watch for vanity reasons.^^
I chose 7:30 h because that is the time after which I will wake up intuitively on weekends.
My sleep quality increases the longer I abstain from any screens beforehand.
Maybe I should add a tech-free hour before bedtime as a habit to track in March?
@SModa61 I do not reliably receive notifications when I am mentioned either. Wishing you a speedy recovery for your hand!7 -

So much to catch up on. Totally love the way everyone is engaged this month and supportive.
@oh_jackie I think the way you decided on your sleep is perfect. No need for a tracker when you have the info you need right at your fingertips anyway.
@SModa61 I am cringing at your report with the gnocci and the boiling water. Years ago my BF went on a trip to CO and came home with some fancy heat packs which you boil on the stove. He was so excited to show me how they work that he put them to boil and then fell asleep. The next think I knew he had grabber the pot off the stove and the chemicals exploded with blobs on his hands and arms. Because it was chemical very difficult and I immed called the doc in the box to warn them we were on our way and what happened. It was quite painful for him for a long time but the silvadyne is also antibiotic and he recovered with min scarring.

It was really cold this morning, but I did intend to go out on my bike – just down to town – but then it started to snow. Very light snow but not appealing to cycle in. I made up for it by doing extra cardio. The snow didn’t settle, I could have gone out in the afternoon but I was busy. I had a zoom maths lesson with my granddaughter. Luckily, she enjoys maths, she’s 9 and doing divisions and fractions.
@RangerRickL I love your inspirational posts. Where do you find them?

Catching up as I didn’t post yesterday - three yeses both days. Today my exercise was two sessions on the exercise bike and 25 minutes of Pilates as it was snowy and icy out. My kids went on an epic afternoon sledging with their friends (I decided homeschool could be sacked off as they haven’t had much fun for so very long now!). I was pretty jealous especially as sledging is great exercise but I was working and too scared of falling over l!
@SModa61 sorry about your hand - hope it’s ok today. You are hardcore cycling with it so sore!! Re the knee, yes I’m seeing a physio. At the start of September I tore my meniscus- in a really bad way. It was abnormally shaped to start with apparently (I never knew til MRI scan) and was a right big messy tear. By the time I had surgery in December I had lost loads of strength so much of my physio has been about getting that back and learning to walk normally again. Sometimes it feels like it will be like this forever but he keeps reminding me of the progress I’ve made! So, onwards and upwards. I’m trying to do Pilates every day now and that is really helping me push myself a bit further in a controlled way. Hope your own knee issues are under control!7 -

@katiecan2021 My primary knee issue was august 2010, and it was a torn meniscus that would intermittently lock up my knee so it would not straighten. Surgery was pretty quick after and I walked from the recovery room and never needed crutches. BUT, even with that the PT guy showed me how the quad on that leg had already deteriorated. Pretty crazy. Husband was also meniscus, but painful difficult recovery. Daughter was a dance student and the muscles were being trained without balance and were pulling her kneecap out of allignment. Exercises rebalanced the muscles and she was all set. I love the science of what PT can do. Sorry about your difficulties, but it sounds like you have a good PT person who will help you heal the best that you can. Glad Pilates is helping as well!5 -
