Well I only had my 80's style snowskis but the poles were helpful. Got power back after 3 miserable days. No water yet tho. Unfortunately with a snow sandwich and temps in the 0's it was not possible to even walk to the end of my driveway. The one pic below show a water bottle. This is NOT a drift, 1/2 ice, 6 inch snow, and a HARD crust of 1/2 in ice on top. To take a step you had to PUNCH thru the ice. Very dangerous. And yes I did end up falling yesterday getting snow to melt for the toilets and my ribs are complaining like the wind was howling. The car tracks are from my manually opening my garage and backing my car out far enough to use to charge electronics and flashlights. My annual plants were in the garage and covered but I had no way to heat them more so I think several of them are gone. My mandevilla on my front porch looks like it may have survived. I am waiting until it stays above freezing for 24 hrs (Tuesday) before uncovering it. It has layers and layers.14

Pass day 2....the day was kind of going well but by evening I just was in the mood for a bit more dinner than Iβd planned for. And a few mini eggs (these might just be a British thing but they are delicious sugar coated chocolate eggs for Easter, nom nom). I think Iβm not leaving enough calories for the evening because I am so BORED all day!! Lockdown is doing my head in. So Iβm just about to write myself a long to do list for tomorrow to try and keep myself a bit more occupied and productive.8

Home now after a few days away β difficult days. Brought my son home with me yesterday so he could meet up with his grandma (my mum, who hasnβt seen him since September because lockdown and sheβs over 90) and his dad (weβre divorced but still live in the same town) so itβs been a very emotional day. Chris is with his dad tonight and his dad will take him home tomorrow.
Iβm wrung out now, hoping for a couple of weeks to recharge.
PS The crisis in Texas is making the news here. Reading your posts I know you are having a really hard time. Hope you get some improvement soon. Best wishes to all of you.

Today I exceeded my longtime water goal of 64 oz. I drank 72 oz!!!! Killer day. Also hit my calcium goal, protein goal and two servings of fruit. Just needed two servings of veg. Didnβt have enough calories or room in my stomach to fit the 2 veg though. Happy day!

Plans for setting calorie goalFor February, I will be joining the others in the group that are here for accountability while maintaining. I am adding 200 calories/day to my January target calories, for a total of 1680. For comparison, MFP stated that my maintenance calories should be 1610. Weβll see how this goes and adjust daily calorie goal if I begin to consistently gain.

***So though my βexerciseβ is on the lighter side, before I headed outside at 8:40 PM in 27 degrees, my apple watch said I had already done 602/510 move calories, 49/30 exercise min, 14/12 stand hours, 9,792 steps, 4.4 miles and 138 flights.
Today was also my βsecondβ run. Shorter than my first, but I needed to make sure my second run was a success so there would ever be a third. I did throw in a hill AND the one time I passed my friendly speed detector I sped up and got it to flash a β9β. :P

*** I owe a bunch of responses and will catch up today. At dinner time last night, I made gnocchi but scalded my hand and dropped my iphone into the recently boiling water when I tripped on the dishwasher door while carrying the pot to drain while calling for information to help get my advanced senior parents their COVID vaccinations. Amazingly, saved the gnocchi, iphone works (was in the hot water at least 5 minutes β Kudos to Apple), parents got their appointments, and I after a long evening trying to treat my hand I feel asleep with mega dose of advil and my wrapped hand in a bucket of cold water. This morning, I think it is going to be ok. Still tender, but I think I wonβt lose any skin. Last night, I tried to type on the computer but could not, and for my indoor cycling I did it will my hand raised over my head. The cycling increased blood flow made my hand burn like heck. BUT, no Pass day. I am saving those for something I enjoy!!!

*** Made it to Marathon. The last 200 miles took 5 hours, then unloading the SUV I stuffed full because, why not? Boxes are everywhere. Maintenance observations to date. I formally began βmaintenanceβ on Feb 1 which also happened to be a date on which all four challenges, in which I participate, were aligned. A nice way to start IMO if wanting to easily study results/data. Today is the end of two rounds of the GM10D challenge so a good time to assess.
My first step in maintaining has been to add a simple pure additional calorie number of 200 calories to my already slightly raised daily calories of 1480, and see how that works and adjust as data comes in. In the Ultimate Accountability Challenge group, I keep running info that relates more to CICO and in the Give me 10 days challenge my weights are documented. During rounds 140 and 141 of GM10D, I lost 2 lb and .2 lb respectively, which, from a maintenance point of view, a loss is not a success. BUT, when I evaluate my apple watch TDEE vs daily calories from the UAC data, that math indicates that I should have lost 2.4 lbs. So, over the time period of two GM10D rounds the calculated and actual weight changes pretty well βmatchβ each other IMO, even though the timing of the weight changes are not aligned exacting with CICO.
BUT, because the round 141 results essentially show a βnet zeroβ, I need to assess which is more accurate, the results of each single round or the results of the combined rounds. Are there other factors that that I am unknowingly not taking into account? Because of that, for at least the short run of the next couple days, I will continue with my daily calories of 1680. If my weight holds, then that is the right choice. If I get the whoosh that I believe I am sensing, then I need to add some additional calories. Next increment, if added, would likely be another 50 calories.
Thought I would share my thought processes in the event it is of any use to other members.

I had a planned pass day for this evening but because I already used all three I ordered very carefully and we walked the area around the restaurant both before and after dinner for over 30 minutes total. Obviously it's hard to say how many calories restaurant food is unless they happen to provide that information but I ordered non fried food with minimal ingredients and because this was a high end restaurant the portions were small. I had grilled octopus, crab crepe and a Caesar salad. My partner had a steak with fries and I snagged a few fries and had a couple bites of his steak but in return he had some octopus and ate about half the salad so based on the small portions I'm pretty sure I stayed within my calorie limits.
