I am still hovering around 127, I’ll take it! My eating has not been as good as it should this week. I have been stuck in the house all week due to heavy rains every single day. I have cooked too many meals that were really good but not too healthy. I have tried to keep busy with organizing tasks around the house, talking on the phone while walking and walking while watching TV. Pretty good step totals for all inside. I am doing great with water. I am still using the juice glass and getting at least 5 glasses of water a day just by taking medicine and drinking instead of snacking. After chugging 8 oz. of water, I find I don’t snack as much. NSV last night: instead of eating a chocolate marshmallow heart or a piece of cake I ate a small Fuji apple instead! I hope to stay around 127 this coming week and eat a bit healthier.
@sleepymom5 – do you share your recipes with others outside the family? I would love to try a big pot of spaghetti. Spending time with your son and cooking sounds like a great day. Love the gift idea. I did that once with a special cake pan, cake ingredients and a recipe for a wedding shower. Good to hear you are not injured. Your step average is good, you know I just gotta say keep on keeping on……
@kandi3570 – great step totals, it is so frustrating when you forget to wear the fitbit. At least your body knows you did it. Building muscle is good and taking the time you need for weight loss is also a good idea.
@podperson1 -Maybe the weather will be better and you can get back into your exercise routine this week. Good that you ate healthy all week and the haircut is OK.
@BlueSkyNomad – congrats on the loss and the step totals
@kirsten11872 – staying pretty steady with the weight
@kos33 – no loss no gain, steady is good!
@tryagain5 – sure hope you are not headed for a knee replacement! I haven’t heard a doctor say “at my young age” in quite a while. I call that a win for you this week.
@drinkmeyer - sounds like progress on the butt firming! The storms this week were really bad, hope all can get back online this week.
@hope002 – no gain! I see that as a good week.
@goingape – love your attitude. Eating mindfully is a great plan for this week. I hope to follow your lead on this.
@1theresamcvean – looks like a pretty good weigh in and I know you are getting your walks in. Have a good week ahead.

Check in for Saturday
Food-not bad but could be better
Water-80 oz
Exercise-30 min step video, PT, stretching and strength
I have to get moving. I want to get a walking video and PT in before mass. Then Dan will be here to make meatballs and sauce. Wish me luck! Have a great day everyone!
@kandi3570 I like your attitude! It isn't all about weight and you have been doing great with your workouts. Your overall loss is just amazing!
@podperson1 Sounds like you had a good week! I am glad that you were able to clean up your hair, I am impressed you could do it yourself! I can't wait until the weather is warmer and we walk outside again. We have had a really snowy and cold February.
@BlueSkyNomad That's not too bad of a gain. Hope you had a good week.
@kirsten11872 Hope all is going well
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Nice loss this week! It is amazing how much you have lost overall.
@tryingagain5 Have you tried compression stockings for work? They have knee high length. It may help with the swelling. I wore them when I worked and I still do when I fly. It may be worth looking into. I think the doctors try to put knee replacements off as long as possible so you don't need to get it done again in 20 years. If you got one now, you would have to get another one when you were in your early 70s. My doctor told me he could get me through my 50s but no promises about my 60s.
@dbrinkmeyer Not a bad weigh in considering all that you went through! Spring can not come fast enough! Love that NSV! Lol! A NSV for you, a bummer for the hubs! Lol!
@hope002 Hope all is well.
@goingape I am working on the same things. I do well during the day and not so much during the evening. I am hoping for a better week this week.
@debbiewsharpe I will share the recipe but let me see how it comes out first Lol! You really had a great week! I have a crazy chocolate tooth the past 2 weeks, maybe I will try grabbing an apple and see what happens. xo5 -
@sleepymom5 yeah a bummer for him lol, and good luck
@debbiewsharpe I have the same weather challenge now that I'm back home. I plan to use my Les Mills account. I only go to the gym for weight lifting. I've also created some HIIT no jumping playlists on youtube1 -
@debbiewsharpe
Me too! Definitely not ready for anything like that. My knee actually has been feeling pretty good lately but the pain in my back and hip is what's causing issues right now. I was hurting on Friday but yesterday was pretty good, except for when I first got up. I did move around a lot and I'm sure that helped.
I thought that was an interesting phrase for my doctor to use. My doctor is a little younger than I am but I don't think by much, maybe 5 years or so. I don't feel young or old, just kind of in between, which I guess is where my age actually is.😁3 -

@sleepymom5
One of my neighbors, who is a retired nurse, got me some easy on compression socks this summer, which helped for a while but then I ended up having cold feet and ankles first while wearing them and eventually they were cold all the time, even when not wearing them. I went to the doctor to checked for that. The test that was done showed everything was fine with my circulation but I still have issues with cold feet sometimes now. My ankles have always swelled so it's not new and I'm sure quite a bit of it is because of the extra weight.
I really don't think I need a knee replacement now since the pain there is very minimal after going through PT. Also, definitely not ready to do something so drastic. Especially don't want to have to do that twice. Time to work harder on losing the weight.2 -
The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!

Good Morning WNM... You have a new member heading your way ... Please welcome @KellieLou4123

Hi all,
Hope you're all having a good Sunday!
@dbrinkmeyer - eek, sounds stressful, hope everyone is getting back online and power back on! Had to laugh at your hubby - guess the workouts are def working ;D
@goingape - evening eating is totally my downfall as well, hang in there x
@debbiewsharpe - wow, those steps are really impressive for being stuck in the house! Go you for going for the apple instead of the cake, I have the worse sweet tooth so it's a hard habit to break for me.
@sleepymom5 - hope your pasta making went well, I'm totally craving a big bowl of it now
Sticking to the calories so far this weekend, which is a change for me as this is usually when I undo all the good work for the week lol! Sleep pattern still not great though and def slacking on the exercise. Maybe one thing per week? Just having a lazy day and catching up on some tv shows.2 -

Well on Friday I was 178 pounds. I went and got my 2nd covid vaccine that day. Everything went downhill over the weekend. I was taking NyQuil to fight the flu-like symptoms which made me hungry so I ate like I wasn’t on a diet. I put on 3 pounds from one day of binging. I’m hoping to get my energy back soon so I can get back in my dieting and exercise routine. I think I’ll take tomorrow off from work. I feel so crappy still from that shot.3 -
Hi! I've been added to this group! I'm Kellie and I'm from the UK and mammy to an almost 20month old daughter who keeps me busy! My weight has been up and down for awhile now, but reached its peak when my daughter was a few months old. Its around 189lbs now. Hoping to be around 140ish by the end of the year.. Taking it 1lbs at a time. Thanks for having me!5

So, I sweet-talked IT at work into letting me have two monitors for home because I WFH about half the time. I bribed them with cake... so then I had to make cake. I decided to go with chocolate cupcakes, and then I decided that calorie-wise I was fine and could eat one. Which was fine, tasted great, except I hardly eat sugar these days, and then I felt soooo sick. I think next time I'll eat a carrot instead.
We're currently having some of the foundations of our house fixed, and access issues mean we've had to dismantle half the gym so that they can get their stuff through to the back yard (it's a drive-through garage that has never even had our cars in it lol.) Turns out they didn't really need it clear, but it's staying that way until Wednesday "just in case". A concrete truck has to arrive at some point tomorrow, no idea what they'll need clear. But in the meantime, I can get to my treadmill and that's about it!
I'm also pleased to report that I survived giving my daughter driving lessons, and as of this weekend she's confident enough to drive all over our area now. We still have to work on parking and driving on the motorway (so it's not over yet with her) - and my son turns 16 in two weeks and is sitting his Learner Licence the same day. I've told him his dad can teach him, I don't think my heart will take the stress!
Food is mostly on track, exercise is pretty good - I had a rest day from lifting today anyway, and hopefully we can put the gym back together tomorrow night. I really want to lose 5kg by the time we visit my in-laws in Wellington in April, so no room to slack off!

You know, inflamation = water retention = higher than actual weight. There is NO WAY you ate enough calories to gain three pounds. That would be...heck, now I have to do math...an extra 10,500 calories. In. One. Day. I don't believe it. And (I don't often tell people what to think, so when I do, I'm really, really serious) you shouldn't either.
You've got this. Take care of your self, hang in there!3 -

@sleepymom5 glad your ok and didn't really hurt anything but your pride.
@tryingagain5 hope your knee feels better. I was told many years I was too young for a knee replacement also because it was just going to have to be redone again. They also talked about breaking the bones in my knee and rebuilding it. I panicked and chicken out.
@debbiewsharpe I always gain and lose the same 5 pounds, it has been going on for years. I think i need to see a specialist or something. My primary care told me my body just likes be this size, she wasn't much help.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx I remember having to teach my kids to drive, one of the most stressful times of my life, I don't do well with new drivers. Good luck.
@KellieLou412 welcome to the team.
I have had a busy week and not much exercise. Physical therapy, and appointments. I went to the eye doctor, they are making me have a test done because I don't have very good peripheral vision and this is the first they are realizing it. I had the test done as a teenager but I don't remember where and I'm pretty sure the hospital doesn't even exist anymore. Today was my youngest granddaughters birthday, she turned one. We had a little party yesterday. They grow so fast.2 -
I went off the rails with carbs this weekend. But tomorrow I will be back on track! Yesterday was my nieces bday party and I had ice cream. Which would have been fine if I stopped there. I had way too much Buffalo chicken dip and Tostitos as well. And still didn’t stop there. So I didn’t do well all weekend. 🤷♀️ I didn’t smoke but I can’t be off the rails everyday. My answer is always the treadmill. And I don’t know what I did to my foot. It feels bruised I can’t even touch it so the treadmill is out for a few days.3

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Welcome aboard, @KellieLou412 !!! I'm Ashley, one of the co-captains of Team Weight No More along with Melanie, @melaniedscott . If you have any questions or concerns about your weight loss journey, the group, or life in general, you're welcome to post about them here. We don't have experts, by any means, but we do our darndest to provide support.Well on Friday I was 178 pounds. I went and got my 2nd covid vaccine that day. As Melanie said, there is NO way you could have eaten so many calories to have gained three pounds in one day. The vaccine most definitely lead to an increase in water weight as your immune system likely needed the extra hydration to prepare to fight the virus. Sure, maybe some eating led to a tiny gain, but I'm betting most of it is from the shot.xX_PhoenixRising_Xx wrote: »So, I sweet-talked IT at work into letting me have two monitors for home because I WFH about half the time. Super Fun (?) Baking Tip: You can replace half of the flour in any recipe with protein powder, and if it happens to be flavored protein powder, you can also cancel out 1/4 of the sugar!xX_PhoenixRising_Xx wrote: »I'm also pleased to report that I survived giving my daughter driving lessons, and as of this weekend she's confident enough to drive all over our area now. I had to learn how to drive the hard way - my mom required a ride home after a medical procedure and didn't coordinate anything, so I convinced a neighbor to drive me to the hospital when I was 15 and had just gotten my learner's permit, and I had to trial-by-fire drive my mom back home in my mom's car. Fun times. I'm sure she was very grateful to be sedated.I went off the rails with carbs this weekend. But tomorrow I will be back on track! Yesterday was my nieces bday party and I had ice cream. Buffalo chicken dip is so dangerous. I totally understand overdoing it.
But seriously, take care of yourself. Taking a few days off to avoid even more serious injury is absolutely acceptable.
Update on Me:
I'm overdoing it on the exercise, I'll be honest. But my mental health has taken a few hits, and exercising is one of my only non-alcohol vices, so I'm more focused on recovering as best as I can, whether that be stretching, foam rolling, cryotherapy, drinking a ton of water, or writing a blog post complaining about it all (because apparently that works for me).4 -
~~ Happy Monday! ~~
Welcome to February Week Four. It's the last week of the month and I think we're all ready for it to be over. Or, at least, I am. I'm ready for the warmth and sunshine of Spring, and I'm excited to see where this next month will take us. It's possible to reset at any time, but there's something about a new month that feels like a clean slate.
How is everyone feeling about their 2021 so far?~~ Super Steppers ~~

Check in for Sunday
Food-logged and under
Water-over 64 oz
Exercise-Walking video,PT and stretching
Not a bad day at all. I got my exercise in before my son came to cook. We had such a nice day. You young people out there do not know what a gift it is to your parents to spend time with you! At the moment, 4 of my 5 children live in my town so I see them often but to spend quality time alone with them is rare. The sauce and meatballs...I thought the meatballs were good but the sauce was missing something. I don't have a good sense of smell so I am not that great with taste. I can taste for sure but when it comes to the little things like what is missing, I can't tell. My brother thinks it may be because we didn't make sausage, he says that flavors the sauce as well. Oh well,Jim, Dan and Laura (his wife) seemed to enjoy it so hopefully it was just me. I wish I was a better cook
Not happy with how I have been doing since I have gotten home. I really need to get my act together. I am doing well with everything except for eating. I need to stop overeating. I am focusing this week on that.
Have a great day everyone! Let's finish February strong!!
@tryingagain5 I am with you-time to get this weight off for good!
@KellieLou412 Welcome!
@podperson1 Sounds like you had a great weekend! I think it would be good to tackle one thing at a time, exercise or sleep. Maybe sleep, I feel like once you have your sleep in order, other things fall into place.
@rachelrjh I heard that 2nd vaccine is rough. I go for my first one Wednesday. Feel better soon.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx I hope that they finish the work at your house as scheduled and you can get your gym back together. I know you love to lift! Congrats on getting through the driving with your daughter, I couldn't do it with my kids Lol! I know that you will hit your goal for your trip in April but you are right, no time to slack. April will be here before we know it!
@ljdanny Sounds like you had a busy week. Hope your peripheral vision isn't something serious. I am glad you are getting it checked out. Happy Birthday to your granddaughter! I can't believe she is one!
@kandi3570 New day, New week. Don't let the weekend psych you out. Also-great job not smoking! You got this girl!!
@minstrelofsarcasm I am sorry to hear that you are not doing well with your mental health but sounds like you are taking steps to take care of yourself. Hope things get better and remember even though you are one of our leaders-we are here for you too. xo.3
