FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better.
GOOD LUCK!

Hello... Well this will be quite a challenge, and thanks for putting it out there. I am just starting with Myfitnesspal since the one time I gave it a try several years back. I decided to upgrade and I am very impressed with all the tools and information. This challenge is an added incentive.10

I’m excited to start in March... been needing some accountability lately!! This should be challenging but fun.9

Thank you for this opportunity to join this challenge. I am excited to have yet another way to garner mutual support and inspiration on my journey of health and fitness! And I look forward to seeing and supporting all of you and your progress/success for the month of March and beyond!7

Hello starshines!!
Im Pamela and this is a great challenge for me!! I'm 35, single mom, going to school and work. So it's going to be hard to workout but I can manage 20min!! Lol8 -
Hi All
Thanks RangerRickL for setting this up. Started MyFitnessPal in mid January and it’s progressing but I’m starting to feel a bit of a slump so this challenge is coming at a great time. I am committed to making it happen and March will be awesome!!7 -
Hi All!
March will be my 5th month in the UAC and I love the accountability and the camaraderie of this group! I've made some wonderful friendships with people here - who genuinely care about weather I succeed or not. Just keep showing up every day, and don't give up (no matter what). That's been MORE than half of the weight loss battle for me! Come on March! COME ON SPRING!!8 -
I’m back for my third UAC of 2021. After a knee injury in 2020 I’m still getting back to my normal activity levels and trying to get back to a weight where I feel comfortable. I love this group, it keeps me going and keeps me motivated. Looking forward to March!9

Hello everyone, I am committing to coming back for my third UAC too!
Wonderful group and tougher challenge than it appears (or at least for me )9 -
Back for my second month of UAC. While I exceeded my pass days in February I was able to exercise more than would have it not held accountable. Looking forward to March.
I am Deb, 57 y.o. , 5'7" female and a kidney/pancreas transplant recipient since 2009. I am currently chronic kidney disease stage 3b/4 depending on the day. I gained 75 pounds while on 3 years of dialysis and lost 93 pounds after the transplant. I slowly regained the weight while dating my late boyfriend(he died of covid in December) 2020). Restarted my health journey on March 8, 2020, and have lost 72.6 pounds so far. Still have 16 to go then will reassess.
Wishing you all success on your health and fitness journey!14 -
Hi All! I'm Nance... I'm back for March after my first round in February. The group was helpful to me in getting my diet on track. Changes of routine due to Covid have really turned my life upside this last year---while I am grateful for the positive blessings in my life, I do miss my old routine and social life and the gym. It's made staying on top of my diet very difficult being home all day now. I am trying to lose 16lbs. to get back to my low weight again.
Appreciate this group and THANK YOU to @RangerRickL for supporting us!👏😊11 -
Hello! I’m Maryann. This will be my 3rd UAC. I find this group is an amazing support system and it has definitely helped me keep myself on target during the chaos that has been 2021 thus far. I hope to be 56lbs into my journey of 80 at the start of March (at 54.4 now), and my goal is to cross over that 60lbs mark lost by 3/31/21.
Thanks to @RangerRickL for organizing these! I cannot imagine it is an easy task. We appreciate you!9 -
Hi everyone! I was in the UAC for a little over a year but took a break from tracking (including MFP and Fitbit) last November. It was good to give my brain and body a rest from tracking for a bit, but when I noticed a week ago that I was 7-8 lb up from my summer weight I decided to make my way back! I know that this challenge and community are what I need to get back to my maintenance level. Although I joined for the last week of February, I'm excited for March and the opportunity to make the winner's circle!10

Hi everyone! Back for month #27 in a row. Looking forward to it!:)8

I'm back for my 4th month and hope to do a little better with weights and crunches. While I hit the treadmill nearly every day I need to do more to improve my strength and conditioning. The upcoming warmer weather should help.8

I'm excited to start this challenge. My husband and I started exercising and tracking what we ate fairly well in January, then Covid hit our family and we were knocked out of doing much of anything for 3 weeks as we all got sick, recovered, etc. Fatigue kept us out for another week, then as we were going to start working out again, a freak week and a half snow storm shut down the state of Texas lol. I just hope this group will be able to motivate me to keep track of exercise and everything I eat as I get ready for a trip to Aruba this summer. Good luck, everyone!8

Hello everyone, this will be my 3rd month with UAC. It really is such a nice and supportive group! I have about 19 more lbs to lose to get to a healthy BMI (lost 28 lbs already). Also, working on improving my body fat % so I've been doing more strength training and cut back on the cardio a bit. I do try to get in a daily yoga session though.
Looking forward to another month!7 -
Hello to all of you and welcome to new comers.
This is my second month with UAC. I have joined this group since I started on January to slack off with my diets and exercises. You will feel inspired whenever you see how much others have accomplished, and how active and positive they are.
It helped me stay on track and exercise more than ever. I still have a long journey until I reach my healthy weight.
I weigh 85 kilos and hopefully start March with 84 or 83 kilos. My goal is to reach 68 kilos on July, on my 31st birthday. Then I'll work slowly, and hopefully steadily, until I reach 65~60 which is a very good weight fory height. So, if things go as planned, you guys will see me for a long time.8 -
Hey guys im 37 almost 38 married with a little buba. Ive lost 23.2kgs since being pregnant. March will be my 4th round of UAC. I did not make the Winners circle for Dec, and Jan but looking very promising for Feb! I love UAC and feel so blessed to be able to interact with like minded ppl. Everyone is so friendly supportive and knowledgeable. Welcome to all the newcomers i hope this group changes ur life, habits and mindset like it has changed mind. All the best!!4

I am totally in for a second month and with the weather warming finally I'll be able to get outside more.
This group helps when I just pop in and read. I actually feel like I might work my way out of my injury as well as meet some goals I haven't been able to see on the horizon. Thank you everyone!5 -
Hi guys, I don't know what to say other than I am determined to meet my goals this year and getting off the BP medication is one of them. So here I am, determined that bad hip and knees will not be my excuse any longer for bad eating habits, no exercising (even though I am cleared to do some) and gaining weight. Wish me luck and hold me accountable...8
-
Welcome transparentenigma! I am new to MFP and excited about getting fit and healthy in this of 2021. Like you I do not want to use my health as an excuse; my desire for health and wholeness is now greater than my desire to hide beneath excuses and whatever else that has held me back in the past. I wish you much success this month and beyond!6

Hi everyone. I am in.
53y/o. 167 cm
Gained 25 kg (55.1lbs) within last 2 years (most of that last year). Want badly back into my "normal" body.
I am tracking my food now for 31 days and "teetotal" for 30 days. First this was planned as a “dry” February, but I think I will continue with my sober regime for a while.
Since January 4th I lost 5.9 kg (13 lbs). Still a long way to go to my GW of 60kg (132.3); last time seen on the scale in January 2019.
I am running on a regular basis; do planking and try to include some strength training. But running is my absolute favourite.
My biggest problem - weekend eating. Just a disaster…. I hope that this challenge will help me to stay on the track during the weekends.
Looking forward for the 1st March

Hi Everyone! I'm looking forward to doing this challenge with everyone. It's nice to have a group to help support while getting into a groove. Looking forward to it!3

Hey there! I'm an overly chatty bilingual Canadian (English/French) who started using MFP back in JAN2020. @Mrs_Hoffer, @SModa61, and I all started UAC the same month: OCT2020. This group, no matter the composition, is addictive. Bonus: everyone here is both endearing and inspiring due to every shared fitness and/or nutrition effort 🤗
My goal? Maintain my body fat in the low 20% range (or, gulp, high teens) since I've never been able to do that before. Along the way, getting stronger, more flexible, and working on mobility improvements are fun bonuses.
I'm in a body recomp phase right now and will likely be in this phase until spring/summer 2021.
Ultimately, I'm here to stay with UAC because this part - the body fat and weight loss - is easier for me. Once the recomp is done, the maintaining might be a heavier mental struggle/commitment to self.
MAR Exercise: The 10,000 Swing Kettlebell Workout (Take #2), daily walking and stair climbing
MAR Nutrition: Hit my protein macro (40%) at least once a week 😭 and keep fat macro between 25%-29% for the month's average. The 10,000 Swing Kettlebell Workout is set up so that you try and beat your own time. When I did this for the first time in OCT2020, I used a 25lb KB. The first session took me 51 min but I was down to a PR of 36 min before the end of the month. Now, in MAR2021, I'm using a 40lb KB. Realistically, I'll probably have to drop set from 40lb to 25lb for the majority of the month but I'm looking forward to seeing the strength differences a few months can make.
Then, after meeting this month's challenge, I'll look forward to a different 30-day strength routine next month to prep for MAY2021's Cooper Test redo. Back in NOV2020, I was "AVERAGE" for my age and gender according to the Cooper Test (I jogged 1.5 miles in 16:15 and could only do 21 modified push-ups). Ideally, by that time I'll be sub-14 min for the running portion and able to do a substantial number of traditional push-ups instead of modified ones.
Let's get it, guys 'n gals!5 -
Hi to everyone from RangerRickL, which is really just Rick.
I'm a 70 year old grandpa and I'm married to a great gal Rose.
This team has been running in monthly installments for around 4 years or so.
It is my privilege to moderate this wonderful group of team members. They generously share their lives, goals and sometimes tears.
I need accountability with others to keep on exercising, tracking my intake and output. I love hiking and horseback riding. I need to do active stretching to avoid back pain.
It's great to be a member of this team!9 -
Hi all, I'm coming back after leaving the UAC mid-month in February. The big winter weather event in Texas made it very difficult to manage meals or planning--I had no power for ~72 hours and had to make do with whatever we could scrape together or order from the few restaurants that did have power. Our local grocery stores are just now getting restocked, so I'm looking forward to getting back on track!7
-
Ok, I did so well with this group in January and then fell off the wagon after the first week of February. The cold weather and all the snow totally made me go into hibernation mode. I am dedicating myself to the program in March and looking ahead to spring!5

Hi everyone. I’ve had good success managing my eating when I’ve done nutrition challenges at my gym. There isn’t one running right now and I’m anxious to get back on track. Hoping this challenge will help me. :-)4
