I hve been stuck at 59.5 kgs for the last 2 months which has been frustrating. I weighed myself this morning and am now 58.8 kgs! Yay! This means im so close to my goal weight of 58 kgs. Very exciting for me! Looking forward to increasing my calories to maintainace cos im on 1200 calories atm which is def not easy! Ive lost 23.2 kgs since the birth of my buba 9months ago and tbh even prior to being pregnant i hve always been at least 7 to 10 kgs over weight! 0.8 kgs to go!! Xox10 -
@donna25trinity - congrats on your progress! How exciting to be so close to goal. I’m impressed how much you’ve lost in 9 months time.
@Chinkiri - sending you hugs and wishes for a good day.
I know I’m posting early so this isn’t a report on today, but it just seems to make sense to post here. Last night I had a NSV that I can hardly believe I managed to pull off. I took 4 grandkids ice skating and knew we would have to eat fast food when we were done. I had saved 1000 calories (no small feat right there) and told myself to order something within that range. But when I pulled up to the window, the lure of the fried crispy chicken sandwich and French fries was too much and I ordered it. Then as I was eating I thought, is this worth going over calories, decided it was not, and left several fries and about 1/4 of the sandwich uneaten. When I got home and logged it, I was under calories and was so pleased with myself. For me, a little success like that, gives me incentive today to be successful again. It’s the classic snowball effect. Which is pretty appropriate as I drink my coffee looking at a world covered in the white stuff. This challenge definitely had a huge part of that NSV for me. Thank you all !13 -
@biketheworld Congratulations! That's how you do it, and yes, success breeds success!
General comment, I am so far behind reading everyones posts and I need to apologize for not contributing as I would like. I thought getting to florida would open up my time. At the moment, it is way crazier. I am at least not giving up on my planning, tracking and exercising, which IMO is critical cause that is a different type of snowball I could create. The never-ending to-do list is getting shorter though and yesterday Hubby kindly drive 2 hours each way to buy me the one remaining IC4 spin bike within 100 miles. We also got a second TV and are setting this all up in the den so we will have indoor exercise options as well. So no excuses remain! Will try and find some time to start going through past posts.8 -

Pass Days: 2/3
I’m thinking about having my last pass day tomorrow, as an open day. Every previous pass day I have taken was because I felt hungry at night and ate one extra meal. Since I have done so well this month, I want to take a proper pass day, where I eat a nice breakfast without worrying about how much bread I have eaten. I decided to make it tomorrow so I would have enough time to burn it off and not take it with me to March. Sorry for the long post and good night .
A question: I suppose I have to leave February group when we begin March challenge, right?

Today has been an emotional roller coaster kind of a day for me. I'm having some family issues with my grown son and my hubby (not my son's father) and it's taken a real toll on me today. I've done at least 20 mins of housecleaning today, so I'm going to call that my exercise, but mentally I just don't have it in me to go get on the treadmill or do rebounding or anything that might help me to get some exercise calories, so I'm just gonna call it what it is, and take another pass today. I'm hoping that I can reign this emotional mess in tomorrow and do better. Hope you all are having better weather wherever you are.9 -

@donna25trinity How exciting!! Congrats, it must be so awesome to be so close to your final goal.🏆
@Bill70sStrong Glad it came in! Enjoy 🚴♀️.
@oh_jackie Restorative yoga is really nice when you are stressed out or just need a little self-care. You normally just hold 1 or 2 poses on the mat for the session with your eyes closed. I may or may not have fallen asleep during them before.
@mshawski Thanks! I love your new ring, btw!
Earlier this week, I finished reading Thinner, Leaner, Stronger and the author suggests cutting cardio down to 4-5 days a week and for only 20-30 sessions to make strength gains. While I enjoy lifting, I love spin but I'll give it a try. Also, not really hitting the protein % he suggests but I am working on it.

Plans for setting calorie goalFor February, I will be joining the others in the group that are here for accountability while maintaining. I am adding 200 calories/day to my January target calories, for a total of 1680. For comparison, MFP stated that my maintenance calories should be 1610. We’ll see how this goes and adjust daily calorie goal if I begin to consistently gain.
Also, I will consider calories a “yes” if either my food is under 1680, or my net is under 1400. Both of those numbers are 200 calories above my January numbers.Date: 2/1

Today was also my “second” run. Shorter than my first, but I needed to make sure my second run was a success so there would ever be a third. I did throw in a hill AND the one time I passed my friendly speed detector I sped up and got it to flash a “9”. :P

*** I owe a bunch of responses and will catch up today. At dinner time last night, I made gnocchi but scalded my hand and dropped my iphone into the recently boiling water when I tripped on the dishwasher door while carrying the pot to drain while calling for information to help get my advanced senior parents their COVID vaccinations. Amazingly, saved the gnocchi, iphone works (was in the hot water at least 5 minutes – Kudos to Apple), parents got their appointments, and I after a long evening trying to treat my hand I feel asleep with mega dose of advil and my wrapped hand in a bucket of cold water. This morning, I think it is going to be ok. Still tender, but I think I won’t lose any skin. Last night, I tried to type on the computer but could not, and for my indoor cycling I did it will my hand raised over my head. The cycling increased blood flow made my hand burn like heck. BUT, no Pass day. I am saving those for something I enjoy!!!

@Bill70sStrong BTW glad my riding skills gave you some entertainment the other day! :P Congrats on your Peloton! Enjoy! Yesterday afternoon, Hubby drove with me up to Miami (2 hours) to pick up a rare Schwinn IC4 spin bike. Then we pickup up a flat screen TV, and apple TV unit and today he spent all day installing the TV and assembling the bike. NOW, to learn how to use these things. We probably are not going to start with the Peloton app (lesser version to the one associated with their bikes). I think we are going to try Apple Fitness and go from there.
EDIT: just did a 10 minute youtube spin class. Getting out of the saddle certainly uses different muscles!!5 -
