Well under my calorie budget because yesterday's Covid vaccine has left me feeling pretty crummy today. Woke up with chills and fever in the night (I was shivering so hard, I woke up my husband!) Tylenol helped a lot. I haven't moved much today--just taking it easy and letting my body figure this out.7

Thoughts for daily calories goalI need to revisit how I am handling my daily calorie goal for maintenance as I am βfailingβ in that regard as I lost another 3 lbs while βmaintainingβ during this month. Having two variables of food calories and exercise calories is challenging for me. In the past I have lost and maintained with less significant exercise numbers so it was more a single variable. I do not want to drop back on exercise as I am doing it for overall health and fitness.
Just use MFP to calculate my maintenance calories/day. Nutritional needs are estimated at 1590, and it predicts that with exercise, I would need 1862 for 1 hour exercise for days/week. Average Apple Watch TDEE for February was 2126. Average calories consumed/day for February were 1686. With three pound loss over the month, to maintain, I would have needed an additional 375 calories/day for a total of 2073/calories/day. So, my thought for March is to consider my daily goal, 1590 plus daily exercise, but, for planning sake, I will expect that number to be around 1900 calories.

*** First pass of the month used. Very much worth the treat β Went to Square Grouper and started with a Key Lime Martini with graham cracker rim (sorry @RangerRickL not the pie), shared appetizers of Flash Fried Conch with Ponzu and Wasabi drizzle (amazing!!), and Ahi Tuna and Avocado eggrolls with Asian dipping sauce, then an entrΓ©e of Seared Sesame Encrusted Tuna with Jasmine rice and Asian slaw, and finished with a cup of coffee and a shared Strawberry Nutella Bread pudding with warm butter rum sauce. Though I may not make winners circle at the end of March, I fully intend to end a champion.

*** So while I have already gone negative on my passes and out of the winnerβs circle, I am caught up with all my check-ins and though my formal tracking has been off, I have survived these past 4 days. Tuesday was 123.2, then went out to dinner and jumped to 125.2, had another off day and increased to 125.6, but this morning I am 123.8 and I do not mind that. It is 3:17 PM as I type this comment, and I just finished tracking where I am at for the day, so that I can finish strong today. Exercise has not been a daily issue lately. Tracking and total calories have been my challenge. My final post will go up later tonight once the kitchen is closed.

Pass Days Used: --Since my 40 lb KB is taking some getting used to, I've worked out my expected progression using a drop set approach with my 25 lb KB. However, I ended off the first week and then started the second week by advancing my workout progressions faster than expected.
The calendar has been adjusted as of MAR082021 to reflect that I may end up doing 8 sessions with only the 40 lb KB (not just 3, as laid out in the original plan). Still aiming for a 30 min PR by month-end.
The number in yellow indicates the number of minutes taken to complete the workout that day

Like @pamsja I had my second COVID vaccine shot and had a rough 36 hours, but it really is a small price to pay for 100% effectiveness for severe hospitalization and death.

13th March
Was examining in Toulouse, stressful, as Paris had put on an extra candidate in an already tight schedule. No time for lunch, had to start at once. Wolfed down some panini during my break, shortened to 10 minutes. Had to take a taxi back to the station so as not to miss the last train home. Arrived there after curfew, so all shops closed. No dinner. Too tired to eat when I got home, but slept like a baby until 6am, without waking up! So, way under calories, due to lack of opportunity. Got my exercise in though! Walked 20 minutes on the way to the venue, walked up and down the station waiting for the train for 10 minutes, and then 5 minutes station to home = 35 minutes!
Got some nasty bureaucracy to deal with today, but if I get it done, and get my walk in, I shall reward myself buying myself some flowers or a little plant at the flower stall on the city square! Yeah @MadisonMolly2017! Thanks for all your good advice!
@lesdarts180 Thinking of you... Hope your son will soon be home again.6 -

Yes on food, yes on logging, but no real exercise, unless you count lots of walking around airports and New Orleans' French Quarter. I am happy that I was able to stay on track with calories, even eating in a pretty fancy place for dinner.
It was my first day of vacation, the travel day, I am not going to try to count pass days there will be too many this month. However I am happy with my March 13th.4 -

@rangerrickl I agree with you accept CICO estimates and my large number of pass days would not predict that. Last night, I had to add the spinning just so I did not take another pass. Maintaining and getting those numbers right is certaining challenging for me. Oh and the 4.7 mile was walking and you can see from the pace these girls do not walk fast.

Even with the π·, I still remained within the calories. I did a hard, but fun Tabata with Raneir Pollard - he is so good of lifting you up, even if you might be distressed!
No passes so far, I am happy to say. I am also stable under 130 for a week now. Should take measurements, but I keep wanting to do then in the morning, then forget. I guess for measurements the time of the day does not matter, does it?4 -
