1st April
It's warm and sunny here in Southern France. People are walking around in T-shirts. This helps to lighten my mood! So, exercise, 35 minutes walking in the sunshine, even if it was mostly to the Post Office and back. Bought myself some red tulips! @MadisonMolly2017
Calories: Yes, stayed under. Asparagus is back in season, very tasty, filling, with a couple of hard boiled eggs, low in calories! 20 spears of asparagus, 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 tsp mayonnaise, 267 calories.
I am a firm believer that, even if we have to limit calories in our daily diet, we should still eat nice food!
Tracking: Yes, logged it all!
@Chinkiri Your continued successes make me smile!! Thank you! 🎉🎉🎉💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻3 -

I did the treadmill today barely. I had to really push to finish it. The 2nd Pfizer shot left me feeling a little fatigued today. Yesterday I went up to the next dumbbell weight for a couple of my exercises so my back was a bit sore this morning as well. Consequently, the last thing I wanted to do was abs this morning. I should be able to do weights tomorrow though because my arm isn't nearly as sore with this shot as it was for the 1st one. Hopefully I won't have any other side effects tomorrow.
Good luck to all of the new people this month.5 -
Welcome to new members!
I hope April is not as difficult as March, but I have my son's funeral to get through on the 7th.

@Mrs_Hoffer - you and I had the same February! The frustration, the food, the COLD - but we persevered, we're still here, and we're back on track. Yay US! I'm going to look up the book you recommended - I'm always open to more insight.
@SModa61 - I sort of chuckled at your "18 passes" - not because it was funny - but because it's a reflection of just how "sideways" life can go sometimes. And yet, here you are, going strong, looking ahead. It makes me smile!
@thabit11 - "Maintenance" - I am all-in on this concept. Thanks to @MadisonMolly2017, I discovered "Half Size Me" podcast (and now everyone's groaning because I've brought her up SO MANY TIMES!" Her last episode, #477, interviews someone who took an 11 week maintenance break after losing 100 pounds (with another 100 still to lose). She has a lot of wisdom and inspiration to share. Definitely worth checking out.
@Katiecan2021 - your night out sounds refreshing and amazing - I would say your emotional boost outweighs the extra calories.

"Maintenance is like riding a bicycle. If you start veering of course & adjust quickly, you stay on course. If you delay, you topple over & crash. The rapidity with which we can adjust our responses is the key." quote from MadisonMolly.

October 2, 2020 – 147.8 (-5.2)
September 14, 2020 – 153.0April has arrived and I am sitting here reflecting back on this month. It is the first month since September that I have closed the month with an “up”. That said, an up had to come at some point since at some point one is no longer trying/needing to lose weight, and I had passed my original goal back in January, I believe. The up on its own would be fine, but the habits, or lack thereof, that crept into my March are the concern. So, for the month of April, I will be focusing on returning to preplanning/pre-tracking as much as is possible and to not just thrown in the day it does not go as planned. I know that I know how to re-group and I need to make sure I find the time and energy for that. I want to up my cardio. Yes, I am “group walking” every day which burns calories, but honestly, I could walk at that pace for hours and hours without effort. I need to push myself, here and there, again. I will also be trying to maintain the social aspect of the group walks as well, so juggling all those time commitments will take a little focus. Lastly, I need to return to adding back exercises. I have not planked in a month, and rarely done exercises other than walking, running, or biking. So I need to figure out how to include bodyweight or dumbbell workouts. Here’s to April.April History
Wishing everyone a great month!
