    31y * 5'9" * BMI:22,2 * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)

    Jan loss:- 2,3kg~70,4
    Feb loss:-1.4kg~69
    March loss: -0.1kg~68.9kg

    GOALS:
    1. Minimal intake of sugar (<30grams/day)
    2. Keep up 16h fasting
    3. 4/3 fasting pattern and macro cycling
    4. Alcohol only on weekends and max once during the week

    1 April: 68kg
    6 April: 68.7kg...
12 April: 68.3kg It clearly wasn't just water weight. It's weird, last time around it took me a month to go from 69->67. Now I've been hovering in the same 68 range for 2 months already.

    Thanks for starting the thread@l4a_p!

02/04: 74.2 - yesterday I did a long bikeride to see a friend (outside with lots of distance), total of 89km / 55miles. The weather was gorgeous and I felt spring on my skin and in mybones@l4a_p! I am supermotivated since we are back from our vacation week, and I hope I'll finally reach those 73 that have been my goal weight since the start of the year.
06/04: 74.8 - the Easter weekend was ... well... strange to say the least. After a few days of gorgeous spring weather we are back to winter: hailstorms and big snowflakes and subzero temps during the night. To cheer us up, hubbie went to buy a delish Easter dinner, but that didn't help, did it? Now, he promised me that we will stay to our regular food for the rest of the month. I really do hope so. He likes eating as much as I do, but he is now training for a marathon and thus all the kilos and pounds don't stay on his hips and belly. We've got this !
    07/04: 74.7
    12/04: 74.9

I did a little experiment over the weekend. I've calculated my BMR (base metabolic rate) and my neat (non-exercise activity thermogenesis), and calculated what the expected weight loss would be with a 250 cal deficit. This weekend was a cocoon weekend because of the bad weather. I did some laundry on Sat and some cleaning on Sun - steps between 2.000 and 3.000 - the perfect examples of sedentary days.
What it shows is that my NEAT that I got from a formula off the net is exactly right, see yellow cells.
And that Sunday I ate too much. What I thought would be my maintenance level (around 2.000 kcals) is actually too high for a sedentary day. And it showed this morning on the scales as a perfect cause and effect (see red arrow). There I go, a bit wiser again! Did I mention I love maths

It's in the first post of this thread: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10569458/why-eating-too-little-calories-is-a-bad-idea/p1

The formula for BMR is: =(10*74)+(6,25*171)-(5*51)-161

Where 74 is my weight in kg, 171 my height in cm and 51 my age. All the rest is formula.
The multiplication factors for going from BMR to NEAT are:

    Sedentary: *1.25
    Light: *1.4
    Active: *1.6
    very active:: *1.75

    GW: 125?
March GW: 129 (really, anything under 130 and into the 120s would be awesome)

    1 April - 131 lbs
11 April - 131.5 lbs - darn....I think this is the first time I've gone backwards all year! Could be the Easter chocolate, too much work/sitting at my desk, its that time of the month, i had mimosas to celebrate with a friend yesterday etc. Or all of the above!

I've been running longer distances to get to my 10km by end of April (did 7.5 km this Saturday) and am eating great protein for breakfast. I just need to clamp down on snacks and overeating at dinner. And increase my NEAT because as @Antiopelle said, it definitely works! I don't understand all the fancy math, but more movement is more movement which burns calories.

It’s a bittersweet loss since I’m not holding out hope of finishing April very strong. My birthday is on the 28th and the family is planning to celebrate at a fondue restaurant. I plan to enjoy myself and that will NOT look god on the scale for at least a couple weeks :)

    1 April - 131 lbs
    11 April - 131.5 lbs - darn..
18 April - 132.3 - seriously going in the wrong direction.

I know my weight increase is due to lots of stress and work, snacking, plus lack of structured workouts due to my region's complete lockdown. Its hard to get myself and the kids going when there's nowhere to go (except for the same walks/runs around our neighbourhood). But this explanation doesn't make is any easier to see the increasing numbers on the scale.

As of May 1, I will have been on MFP for one year and I was super hoping to hit 130lbs for my first anniversary (which will make total of 15 lbs lost). Maybe I can still make it in 2 weeks.

What goals could I set for 2 weeks that will kick my butt and lose 2.5 lbs??? Something outside the box and fun.... I need a challenge!

@k8richer Hmmm. This may meet none of your requirements for fun or out the box - but do you wear a fitness tracker?

Like you, I was stressed and not working out which kept me stalled, but a MFP friend “challenged” me to a 10k daily step goal - a regular day for me was 3-5k steps.

I had never done a challenge (this was on Fitbit) but the periodic “pushes” - “Jane is gaining on you”; “Jane just passed you by 500 steps” were strangely motivating. At first, I thought it was going to be hokey.

But it allowed me to increase my NEAT, get to 10k or more steps per day, and I lost about 3-4 lbs in about 3-4 weeks! I also diligent about cutting sweet treats even though I stayed within my daily calories goal.

Aah de joy was short lived. An unexpected gathering of friends ("let's do takeout!") and we're back to square 1. I tried to plan out my meals for this week again, as I always do, and it looks so promising: mon-tue: soup, wednesday: salad. And then the bf pops up with a dinnerinvite for both monday (steak&fries) and wednesday (pasta). Hooray!
    ...sigh...

Also, I'm leaving this Saturday, to go travel again. And I'm really annoyed I won't have my scales (both for my weight as for food). Last time, 3 months travel resulted in 4-5kg weight gain... Don't want that to happen again!

I’m at goal weight pretty much. My focus is strength training 3 times a week. Cardio twice a week. I want to build muscle and a booty! Right now I’m at the gym 3-4 times a week but I’d like to increase to 5 times a week. Eat less fast food.

Thanks @CeeBeeSlim ! I have a Garmin fitness tracker which I use to count my steps religiously but I've never done a challenge! That sounds motivating. I like your idea of a 10k step goal everyday. I usually don't have a problem hitting 10k, although today was another day at my desk. Maybe I should hop on my treadmill now......

113.0 - staying steady here! Off to chiro post rear end accident. Hope to start working out again soon but left side stiff and achy.

@k8richer - if 10k isn’t a problem for you, what would be a stretch but doable goal? 10k was doable, but I really really had to work hard for it. If the end of the day was approaching, I’d do like you said - hopped on the treadmill or danced - for about an hour! It helped get those last few pounds off.

    @Antiopelle - yay! Great feeling isn’t it!

Trying to get back into workouts 3 times a week minimum but struggling. Last week I got 2 in and only have 1 in this week so far. Last week I broke out the weight bench for the first time in almost a year. It felt good to use it again. Still have opportunity to get workouts in this week, but fighting a kidney infection that has me feeling rather yucky so just trying to keep my calories in check for right now.

02/04: 74.2 - yesterday I did a long bikeride to see a friend (outside with lots of distance), total of 89km / 55miles. The weather was gorgeous and I felt spring on my skin and in my bones@l4a_p!

Two days in a row of 112.6. I thought my scale was broken! I’m shaking my head having never thought I’d be below 130-135 - my post college weight - 35 years ago. I’m not consciously trying to lose anymore, so have to get the maintenance thing right!
