We did 3.8 miles in 90 mins this morning. Snooped around the drainage ditch over by the water plant and walked along the railroad tracks. Beautiful morning. There is a report that we might have some rain tonight and tomorrow...we'll see cuz you need rain clouds for that and there aren't any around here.

Well darn! I had something all written out........then fell asleep before posting it. Darn I lost it all.

Hey my new bike is being shipped. The label was created. It is in Washington. So should not be to long. I will ask Rocky to take a photo of me with it. Should be glorious.

Chris at least with no clouds in sight you should be able to get outside and enjoy the day. But I do love a thunderstorm. Walking with one of those beautiful umbrellas. So fun.

Paula sorry to hear your knee is giving you fits. Go slow. Speaking of knees. One of our officers was injured in a scuffle at the jail. Knee really swelled up. So we took him the machine Rocky had for after knee surgery. Fill it with water and ice and it circulates ice water around the injury. Pretty nice.

I took today off to shop, take a car ride and clean tanks. The coral that is in jail is improving. So happy.

    Shelley,
I have one of those cooling machines too and have loaned it out to friends. It is such a life saver.
So happy for the coral! :)

After over a year, the bars/clubs are opening again and music is happening. What a miracle. I went dancing tonight: hip hop hurray! Was at a bar/balcony so I could hold on to the counter to keep weight off my knee, but we'll see. The staff was really good about policing people to keep masked.

Nothing but rain in Georgia on Saturday so decided to take a day off. i. I had a walking partner on Friday, My great nephew Damoni stayed over 2 nights to spend time with great grandparents. He kept me from being great because he was too cold to walk. But he was not too cold to play on the playground.😊 I still got in 42 minutes-2 miles and we had a great time. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 🥶🥶🥶

    Here’s a couple of photos.

Kathy, your walking partner is so cute! Playing at the park counts, you know.

    4.11 miles in 85 mins. Cloudy day...nice breeze...no rain.

Kathy playing in the park does count! Does your nephew have to wear a mask in the park or did he just want to? He is going to grow up into a handsome young man. And I agree, lets finish strong this week.

Paula I am betting the staff just wanted to quit policing people and their masks. I am so glad you were able to go dancing.

Took the boys for a walk today and got my pushups done.

Don't Think I will have a lot of time to exercise today. I need to take Bella to the orthodontist midday to fix a bracket. I did get outside into the very fast 20 minute walk this morning. Hopefully I can fit something else in!

Karen that is great you got in 20 minutes first thing. Try doing some squats or lunges when you have even 20 seconds. Anything is better than nothing. I forgot to do my pushups this morning. Now I have to make them up later. Darn!

Busy morning so I got in 30 minutes - 6.46 miles on the Recumbent bike this evening.

Great 20 minutes Karen. I’m with Shelley going to try to do something whenever I have a few extra minutes. Fell off completing my morning planks. Need to get back with it.

Shelley the mask is not required but he wanted to wear one. Now that I’m fully vaccinated I walked without a mask for the first time last week. I have to say I felt exposed and a little nervous. It’s still a comfort level issue fir me.

Thank you ladies he is going to be a heartbreaker. He’s in his third year playing baseball and loves it. A third baseman with a pretty good arm. 😉

My knees didn't hurt after the dancing this weekend so I walked for 20 minutes this evening. They're fine going uphill - it's downhill that requires careful steps, but that's not a problem.

I carry a knife. A neighbor told me that a mountain lion seen hunting in backyards was shot last year. The hunter had a permit. Several pet's remains were found in the thicket where it was eating.

I live on the outskirts of our community. The thicket is several streets inside the community, a little bit below me. The knife is not a joke. :p

Kathy I feel like I am forgetting something when I don't have my mask on. I so get it. And I think a lot of children really like them. Especially the younger ones. That is a really nice looking park.

Did a short YouTube video this evening.

Shelley, The staff were so great about it. And people didn't seem to mind, they just forgot to pull them back up sometimes. This was the first time in a year with live music. I think everyone was just happy to be out again. :)

Your young man sure hit the jackpot when he picked your brain, didn't he! You are the perfect teacher. <3

Kathy I envy you gals and your nice weather a lot. And then I hear about the heat later on. Always a trade off. I bet your mom would sit out and visit you while you work on the yard.

Paula & Chris leave it to you two to find ways for your pets to help you get in your workouts. High Five!

My mom sit...no way! The yard is her thing. She will take the lead and I follow. The best thing about my parents moving in with me is she has a yard to play in the dirt again. My mom cut grass in her yard until she was 75. And it was a large yard. Little lady on her riding mower! We finally insisted she get a yard man to cut the grass and she take care of only the flowers and gardens. Btw did I tell you she planted tomatoes and jalapeño peppers in pots last week. She’s truly a superwoman. It amazes me what she still can do at 84.

    Kathy, your mom is amazing!

5.36 miles in 92 mins yesterday. It did get pretty warm, Shelley. Pat does not like walking in the hot sunshine, so did it on my own. I have my trainer at noon today...I'm still sore for Monday's workout...crazy!

It's supposed to get into the 80's today. I don't know if I'm going to be able to walk or not. I have to pick up my glasses from the eye doc's and was thinking about going INTO the grocery store. We'll see.

    Have a good day, everyone.

Kathy I knew she loved to garden. Just was not sure how much she can still do. You better get her some tall planters next to the patio so she can plant them when she is 94. Because she is not going to stop gardening! <3 I am with Karen, I want to be just like your mom. Beautiful & talented. I bet she is witty also. :p

I did my push ups this morning. Got in a walk. It is in the 60's today and sunny. Beautiful. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be in the seventies.

It's 84 degrees out there with no breeze and my workout was really hard, soooo no walking for me today, and I think the grocery store is out.

Kathy, do you have a Fitbit?

Your mom is proof that 84 is the new 35! It's relating to stories like hers that make me feel youthful. Please thank her for the inspiration, okay? <3

No workout on Wednesday. Too many errands and it was 81. I’ve got to adjust to walking in the heat. But mostly I’ll get up really early to get it in. Soon it will be the dogs days and will be in the 90s and humid.

I too want to be like my mom when I’m in my 80s. She is truly inspiring and has continued to do it al while battling chronic hypertension, lung cancer, and a heart attack. And she was never overweight...too busy raising kids then helping to raise Grandkids. She’s amazing! Thank you all for the kind words.

Chris yes I have a Fitbit. Although it’s been giving me a few issues since the last update.

Paula keep on being your youthful self. I never thought I would be exercising, traveling and enjoying life as I am in my 60s. When we all finally meet we’re going dancing with you!

I've been trying to figure out how to house you girlz after Derek moves out. We may not have won the lottery and it may not be the Bahamas; but the San Francisco Bay area is still a pretty nice vacation spot!
