Hi I’m new to this group (hopefully it’s ok to join??) but it’s at least my 4th time of starting mfp and I know that I need to have accountability to be successful. I’m only wanting to lose about 5kg but I never seem to get that far!
My current stats are:
Age: 43
Height: 170cm
Current weight: 68kg
Goal weight: 63kg
No trends yet.. only just started mfp a week ago.4 -
ME:
31y * 5'9" * BMI:22 * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)
Jan loss:- 2,3kg~70,4
Feb loss:-1.4kg~69
March loss: -0.1kg~68.9kg
April loss: ???
GOALS:- Low intake of sugar (<50grams/day)
- Keep up 16h fasting
- 5/2 fasting pattern
- Alcohol max 4x/week
Since I don't have access to a scale (while travelling), I can only use my measurements as a point of reference.
Chest: 95cm
Stomach: 83cm
Waist: 75cm
Belly: 90cm
Hips: 102cm
Thigh: 60cm
Goals are similar to the usual, but less strict.

I got to my smallest EVER as an adult - 112.4 - in April - and in a week, gained three pounds but couldn’t care less. Came back home after close to being away for 9 months due to eldercare during covid and reunited with husband. In a week, I ate Chinese food, pizza, pasta, Indian food, wine and ice cream. Every. Calorie. Was. Worth. It. And it’s the first time I’m not panicking after a gain. Back at it tomorrow.
Goal is to stay in the 113s.

GW: 125-127?
May GW: 129 (anything under 130 and into the 120s would be amazing)

I don't have far to go to my GW, so I'm not stressing too much about the scale. In fact, its time to add some muscle as my strength training has slipped lately. I know I can do this - just need to make the time. Plus I'm planning lots of gardening and outdoor activities in the gorgeous May weather - yay!
I've downloaded the FitOn app and plan to try their kickboxing series. Just for something new. Anyone else use FitOn?3 -
Hi- I’m back!!

I been away too long. Just the pain and misery, feeling sorry for myself BUT, I’m back.
My joints are feeling a bit better. I don’t take meds everyday like I was. The only change I made was I got back on Nuva Ring. (BC) for hormones. That’s it. I feel like myself again.
F menopause. It really sucks.
Anyway long story short, I am ready to work on getting myself in a better place. I packed on the pounds and BF% even though I kept up with working out every single day 🤨
Missed you all!6 -
Welcome back @weatherking2019. You’re back - that’s what counts! We all get detoured but glad you’re back on the right path! We got this and know what to do. 👍💪🏋️♂️4

@weatherking2019 : I'm so glad you are back, we missed you too!! I hope you'll get better with the nuvaring now.3 -
I've been reading a very interesting book about the concept of "kaizen." That's a Japanese term dealing with how to reach large and daunting goals by starting with very, very tiny actions. Some of the tiny actions the author describes are almost comic; one lady began her fitness journey by marching in front of her TV for one minute a day and another by standing on her treadmill reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. But according to the author that was the impetus they needed. "One Small Step Can Change Your Life" by Robert Maurer is just one of several books on this topic. I got mine via my Kindle Unlimited account; the regular Kindle price was $7.95 and the paperback was $9.95. I'm a very uptight kind of gal who needs to de-stress so I chose as my first tiny action "Check three times a day for tension in my mid-section" which takes about 15 seconds a day. Can't get much more doable than THAT!!5

@weatherking2019 we are glad you are back at it! For everything and anything on menopause, I recommend you
check out Menopause Chicks. It's on Facebook - it is run by and for women dealing with menopause. Very informative and supportive - a bit like this place!4 -

Thanks all for welcoming me back!
I’m not so stressed this time around. Just feeling relieved from all the aches and pains. Happy to be able to get out of bed or car without the struggle. (Yeah, it was that bad)
I’m currently doing IF with my fiancé (16:8) and gotten used to skipping breakfast.
That was the hardest part in the past so I’m proud of that. But now the eating the first meal of the day( breaking the fast) is hard. I’m starving so I eat a lot. Been over the calories quite a bit if I don’t workout. Need to plan ahead I guess.
Any suggestions on how to keep track??

Hey yall, first time posting here
Height: 5'3
CW: 127.7 lbs
Goal: 110 lbs or flat tummy, preferably the latter. I'm not really concerned about my weight, but I know to lose my tummy fat I need to lose weight so that just by extension.
I'm hoping to stick to the folllowing plan:
- 1200 calories daily (but not hard limit, 1600 is the max since i do exercise a lot)
- 1 hr of stationary bike Mon to Fri, preferably Saturday and Sunday as well but I will treat them as break day
- Dumbbell Curl Mon, Wed, Fri. Right now I been doing 3 set of 8 reps with 15 lbs dumbbell. I do try to increase to 5 set if I feel like I can do it.
- 30 sit up daily, more if I'm capable
- 1 min of plank daily, more if I'm capable
I started seeing a nutritionist recently, only had 1 appointment so far so we haven't really talked about actual nutrition/calories goal just yet and instead just focusing on me doing correcting some of my bad eating habit like snacking a lot. As I meet with her more I will modify my goall to include micronutrition amount as well.
I also hope to be able to get a body fat percentage test sometime soon, but it still seem hard to get one nearrby right now.
Happy may everyone! Good luck and stay accountable!6 -

Heya, first time posting in this group! Was an obese kid, got my weight under control in high school but was never "thin." After some disordered/unhealthy dieting I managed to get into the 130s about 4 years ago- and the weight slowly crept back to around 150 ever since. Went to therapy, have mostly made peace with my relationship to food/ my body. Went up to 162 during quarantine and now I'm making an effort to get back down to my ideal 130, but this time slowly and healthily. Not sure what my body fat is, but based on visual guides I suspect it's around 33%.

Hi!
I've been using MFP for about a year, but just "joined" the community aspect of it today. I am looking to lose the last few pounds after a long journey (86 lbs. lost), but my weight seems to be at a stand-still. I haven't lost weight in about three weeks.
Sex: Female
Age: 29 years
Height: 5'2"
Starting weight (March 2020): 225 lbs. (BMI 41.1)
Current weight (as of May 10, 2021): 139.4 lbs. (BMI 25.5)
Goal weight: 135.0 lbs. (BMI 24.7)
I am in recovery from binge eating disorder, which cycles with anorexia. I don't want to slip back into old habits (i.e., starvation, or binge eating), so my goal weight is higher than most others on here. Makes me feel a bit self-conscious, but oh well. I just want to be in a healthy BMI and feel good in my body.4 -

How tall are you Gazelle? (If you don't want to share that's fine too) I asked because we share very similar stats and I would love to buddy up with you and keep each other accounted if you would like (I'm also 23F, CW is about 127.6 lbs, my goal weight is 110 lbs, and I'm 5'3).2 -
113.0. So looks like after two weeks of comparative gluttony - the damage may just be a half a pound! Was 112.4 before I left parents home two weeks ago and reunited with hubby and indulged in all sorts of food! I’m more than ok with that!3

My BMI is currently 25.1, we're not that far apart. We also don't have to compare anyway, just pick a goal weight you feel good about. Some months ago, I've decided that my goal weight should be 71 instead of 69, as I felt I always started gaining again hitting that weight, I was just never able to keep it. Instead of doing the yoyo thing over and over again, I'll be happy to stay stable at a little higher maintenance weight.
You do you and be happy You've got this !

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
I have been feeling a bit "down" about my body image lately. I've been stuck at 139 lbs. for the past three weeks. I don't know how to kickstart my weight loss again. Maybe this is my body's way of saying it's time to maintain? I don't know.
If anyone has any tips for losing the last few stubborn lbs., please let me know!2
