Walked a block today and bopped to one song at the local bar (there was a memorial jam for a well-liked local). Now my knee is throbbing and damaged again.

So I've decided that it needs to heal; and then only very short walks but maybe every day.

When Covid's more under control, I'll go see doctors. It feels like it might need a replacement. But it's not crippling yet so I don't wanna do that.
(Funny isn't it, how you don't want a procedure until you're absolutely
forced to have it; and then you wonder why you waited so long.)

How are all your feet/ankle/joints doing, are you all better now?
What was causing your walking trouble? I can't remember.
(I need a brain replacement too...)

Paula - you are so right! Both my husband and Mom got hip replacements waiting until they could barely walk. Such pain! They had the same reflection. My Sis got her knee replaced last year....that is quite a recovery, but she's glad she did it. With your lower weight now....it will really help when you are ready.

My knees aren't perfect (left gives me a little trouble sometimes), but for me it is my left foot more. I have really high arches, and it kills me with heavy exercise. I did get inserts that help.

I got my hip fixed a year ago March. Just before they locked us down because of Covid. I am coming up an my two year anniversary for getting my back fixed. They were hurting so bad. No cushion between the bones at all. I am sooo glad I did it. Recovery wasn't too bad. Pat was a darling husband and did everything to help me.

I am slowly getting back to my quick walking when I'm out there by myself. The only issue I have is the ball of my foot needs special cushion. I have pads in my shoes that lift my toes and the back of the ball of my foot away from the insert. I also have high arches. I get special inserts that help with that and the ball of my foot. When things in my shoes start to flatten out and the pain starts, I pull out the old and put in the new. Trying to walk faster puts more pressure on the bottoms of my feet, so I need to find the proper fixes. Or...dun...dun...dun...do I need new shoes? Finding the right shoe took a while, too. And then the issue is...the moment you find the right shoe...pants...underwear...hairspray, etc, they update it or discontinue it...EGADS!!!

    Sorry for the long explanation...

    Love you guys,

I'm pretty sure I told you guys this before but... When I was 16, I got hit by a car when I was crossing the street. I flew in the air for 40 feet and then slid on my face and knees for 30 feet before I came to a stop. The doctor removed my spleen. My lungs collapsed and they could only repair half of the left one, but after oxygen treatment the lung expanded and filled the space. My pelvis was cracked...not broken, just cracked. They said because of the major damage to all my organs that I wouldn't live past 35. The damage was like 40 years of use. HA! fooled them didn't I? Anyway, the car hit me on the right side. That's the hip I had replaced. The spine business is also a result of the damage done. I have to be careful of my knees when it comes to kneeling on the ground but so far I'm good there.

    The End.

60 min workout w/trainer...no walking 90 degrees out there and it's supposed to get hotter!! I did go to the grocery store and get ingred. for chicken/bean soup. I just hope I haven't made it too spicy. I share with Sara and my trainer. We'll see. I haven't made it in a long time.

My knee's in a brace again. Am learning it takes 1-2 weeks for it to react to overuse; and even longer for it to heal. It's not a good excuse though, because I could still be doing body weights and dumbbells but never get a round tuit.

I did look at the NordicTrack Vault though. It's really cool but super expensive and would probably end up making an excellent laundry rack in the garage. :(

I love this Paula, especially since I keep meaning to get Round TUIT. I have been a lazy slug this last week. Only doing what I had to do! I have gotten on the bike some. Walked the dogs lots. My mom comes. She rides on her scooter.
