I have never seen this graphic before, but it illustrates why it is so difficult to lose weight even while doing 3 hours per week of intentional exercise.
The UAC foundations focus on 3 thoughtful habits: caloric consumption; activity; accountably posting what you have tracked.
The combination of the 3 will yield positive results.12 -

Yes yes and yes.
65 calories under although i am finding at night im needing a bit of coke or lollies so im obviously lacking in something. I will start pretracking again from tomorrow,. Tracking is difficult since i no longer hve access to the mfp app cause my phone is too old for latest app version apparently. Very annoying as using browser means i can no longer scan food. Feeling much better emotionally today. Night all. Xox8 -
@RangerRickl wow that graph is scary and a huge eye opener. Im on leave with bub atm so lots of cleaning, carrying bub and chasing after him but my line of work is in Management so i use to sit on my backside all day glued to a screen. It was soooo bad for me! Not looking forward to all the sitting wen i go back.4

Did 5km walk today instead of the 3km walk. Still a LONG way to go before I get back to what I used to do (distance and pace), but I have to start somewhere.11 -

3 x Yes
Did 45 minutes walking this morning, at least half of it at a fair furious speed. My partner had a G.P. appointment and, as he's really vague and confused now, I try and come with him whenever I can. After the appointment he suddenly needed money, so I darted round looking for a cash point. The poor man could hardly keep up. After that I went the long way home...
Stayed under calories. My food still has a fishy theme, because I am trying out eating more protein. Logged everything.

I definitely work out for longer than three hours a week. Today I did 47 minutes of yoga and 75 minutes of Jiu Jitsu. That’s not counting coaching kids class and I don’t count work which is pretty physical (today I repacked the fish freezer so the old stuff is all easy to access when we add the new stock tomorrow. That involves moving over 400 kgs of fish. So I did over two hours in one day.
Food was good today even though I had to change my supper plans as I was running late. Chocolate milk and peanut butter were quick easy substitutes that gave me the energy I needed. The chicken meal I had planned will do for tomorrow.
Tough day at work but an afternoon on the Jiu Jitsu mats helped with that.8 -

That is an interesting chart, and of course it represents the average among everyone from those who do nothing at all to those who do quite a lot.
I definitely recall a time just several years ago when working out 3 hours per week would leave me feeling spent! I am blessed to be able to do more than that now. This week has over 5 hours of running alone, but I regularly run 6 days per week which makes it add up a lot easier. There was a time that running 3 days/week was incredibly tough on me (like literally thought I was going to die), and you can bet I wasn't running a hour on each outing either! Let alone trying to add in other activities on top of that.
I also hurt myself quite a few times trying to do too much, too soon. That was always a problem when I was younger and decided those diets weren't working would just get a gym membership (without paying the arm and leg for a personal trainer) and just start working out like everyone else was doing at the gym. I wasn't ready for all that but had no way to know what my limits really were.
I really have to give a ton of credit to MFP to help me accurately track my calories (especially carbs) starting back in 2014 when I dropped from 316 pounds in January to 220 pounds in November. MFP also gets a ton of credit for keeping me from killing myself trying to get into running. Like most things, I threw myself headlong into it, but the advice from people in the MFP forums and groups related to running are what allowed me to progress safely into running full marathons just the very next year in 2015.
ETA - Now if only I hadn't stopped using MFP back in 2018...I wouldn't be having to lose all this weight again!10 -

Exercise – yes, 60 + 10 minutes bike ride, 30 minutes light cardio.
Tracked – yes
Calories – yes
Pass days – 2 left
(pass day taken May 5th)
It was bright and sunny this morning so I went on a longer bike ride out in the countryside. Then this afternoon I went down to town to get my hair cut! 6 months since I last had it done.
Being retired I don’t have to sit at a computer all day any more, and although I do read a lot, I don’t watch tv. I’m active for several hours a day – about 14,000 steps according to my fitness tracker plus the bike ride.
The exercise/activity is good for my mental health - especially getting outside - I don't do it primarily for weight loss. The calories earn me some treats as well!9 -

Taking my 3rd pass day today. I went way over my calorie goal.... there's just way too much chocolate in the house! (Pot luck Bible study at my home tonight). Due to a medical emergency, several of our guests left quickly and left their chocolate here!!!!! 🌚 Hershey chocolate bars, brownie bites and chocolate ice cream. Ugh. Gonna have to get rid of these because I can't have another day like today. 🌚11 -

Yesterday was my second pass day - kind of a free for all before this 6 week challenge starts and I allow myself no pass days. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, but I’m ready to focus and kick some booty.

Good day today. Busy, which kept me away from the kitchen. This evening, I got myself out the door just before 9 PM for a 3.2 mile run, followed by a 1.6 mile walk. Felt good. So three more yeses for May 12th. Chipped away a little further at my March 10th pass.
