For those of us in the United States, suddenly, as of today, if you have been fully vaccinated and more than 2 weeks has passed, you are no longer required to wear a mask outdoors and indoors. Hopefully, this will not lead to an uptick in the SARS2 virus, but as of today, Hurrah!
Exceptions are public transportation, airports/airplanes and healthcare locations.7 -
@rangerrickl it was welcomed news. Now to see how states respond as well as the populous.4

Quite worn out with stress over partner, didn't get many things of my To Do list done. Need a decent night's sleep. Tomorrow is another day...13 -
@Chinkiri your partner is so lucky to have you. Being the primary support for an AZ patient is an impossible job. At some point have you considered getting some skilled home health for a few hrs a day to help you?
@craigo3154 happy to hear you had a good day and productive appt. Perhaps you have turned the corner now.
@RangerRickL I was of mixed mind when I heard the CDC announcement yesterday. And immed following news of the Yankees having a fairly significant outbreak (J&J vaccinated I believe). On the one hand I feel optimistic that we are going to be able to return to more normal but on the other I worry that a lot of unvaccinated folks are going to get sick.

A light day exercise wise but I did get in a yoga session. Flying in COVID times is different but I still enjoy the experience especially when I’m excited about the destination. I’m weighed in for competition and refreshed my referee course so after I compete tomorrow I’ll help with that side of things. Also had dinner with my kidney recipient and his kids. Good to see him doing well.
Excited for tomorrow!!!
Forgot to mention food. Way under calories because of my messed up schedule but that gives space in case I under estimated my choices. Enjoyed good food because I entered the top weight division so no stress (I am not allowed to do weight cuts with one kidney so if I’m not on weight when I register, I go for the heavier division. )7 -

First pass day here. Was unable to do my run or walk today due to an infection (of all things) that flared up quickly which is hindering my gait. Wound up at the ER over the whole thing and got some meds. Hoping to be more mobile again soon. Was able to stay under on calories and even surprisingly keep the 20/4 fasting going despite the interruption in daily routine, so that was nice.

My mum got herself a mobility scooter a couple of weeks ago but she is very nervous about using it so I went for a walk with her from her house into town and round a route to her favourite shops. It was a long walk, with lots of stopping and starting and manoeuvring around corners and across roads. I was a nervous wreck at the end of it!
I’m envious of you not having to wear masks, I really hate them. It’s such a fiddle, bike helmet off, scarf off, mask on, reading glasses on (can’t read the labels without them), Glasses steam up, constant adjustments. Then come out of the shop, remove mask and specs, replace scarf and bike helmet! And because I hate wearing them I go round the shop as quickly as possible and don’t get the best offers.
I had a bad day yesterday but better today – how much difference the weather makes if it means I can get outside for a bike ride and a long walk.

A lovely day today, great good choices all day and I even went for a swim 🏊🏻♀️ at lunchtime. Then my parents cane round for dinner (shsh it’s not actually allowed until Monday here, but we have been waiting since October and they are both fully vaccinated). My husband went a bit mad with the food, he made so much and so many different things!! I kind of lost track. I probably went a bit over but not crazy. So a pass day. Tomorrow we are out for pizza! Might be another tricky dinner.
@Bill70sStrong that really doesn’t sound like you but I know how you feel. I took a break at the end of April because I lost my mojo a bit and found I really missed it and felt so much better in UAC.hope you get your groove back soon!
@Chinkiri hope you wake up feeling refreshed. I’m always inspired by your patience with your partner, it must be so hard, especially because you just don’t get a break. Thinking of you.
@WhatMeRunning hope you are back on form again soon - look after yourself. It’s so frustrating when illness knocks you off course so I hope you can get a little rest and recovery time!
Happy weekend all!5 -

Good day fitness and eating wise. Kiddo had a good day at school and I told him if he did I’d sleep with him in a tent in our playroom tonight so… I’m probably not going to be walking right tomorrow 😂. I’ll take it for a good day though!8 -

Day was three yes. Was dicey for a bit. Hubby is out of town and I decided to have corned beef hash, from my year old canned food lockdown supply. I enjoyed every bit. Did have to make sure I did not just do the minimum exercise. But it all worked out.5

I'm checking in early as I've pre-logged everything already. Since I have a morning flight tomorrow I'll be retiring early. After a lot of thought I decided for vacation I would do maintenance calories plus my active calories. We typically walk 8-10 miles a day when we're on vacation so that should provide me with sufficient active calories to stay within my limits.
As far as restaurants I'm going to avoid fried food (for me that means no french fries) and mostly eat salads with protein. I'll also keep any salad dressings on the side. I'm planning to eat seafood as much as possible and minimize other meat. I'll still end up gaining a few pounds most likely (based on prior experience) but that tends to be water weight and disappears after a week. I'll be keeping track of what I eat on my phone and log everything when I get home as well as update here. I'm one of those annoying people who takes pictures of their food but in this case it will be helpful in logging. I'll also take photos of the menu description so I know the primary ingredients.9 -

@SummerSkier I understand your concern. For example: Costa Rica which had low cases for a year of lock-downs, has suddenly shot up due to a societal easing starting at Easter holiday.
We were planning on going to see dear friends in Costa Rica, but they have urged us to cancel our trip.
A great place to look at Covid data in graphic format is www.worldindata.org
Costa Rican cases since Easter look like a rocket took off.1 -
I posted today's results as I was reading through some of yesterday's posts.
It was a modest 3 yes day.5 -
