Exercised and that's it. 4pass days. Went out for dinner and had no say in what was ordered so I just ate to avoid the conversation of how one day wouldn't make a difference. The only thing that went my way is that I didn't have any alcohol and had one spoon of a shared dessert.9

@Higa2021 - that is always a tough spot to be in. It seems people want to eat whatever they want and don’t want to be made to feel guilty or self conscious while doing so. In the past, I would just eat to avoid the discussion and then feel horrible after. I have an autoimmune disease and many foods bother me. Even without an illness, as you know, our bodies react to foods we know we shouldn’t or don’t want to eat - mentally and/or physically. Now I don’t tell people I am watching what I eat or go into detail about my illness, I just simply say - “No thank you. I wish I could, but when I eat food like that, my body reacts terribly for a few days.” People don’t want others to not feel well and tend to accept that because they don’t feel judged for what they choose to eat. I noticed the same thing about alcohol. Peer pressure exists even in our latter years. I may have one or two or none (it depends on the day, my goals, what I have to do the next day, etc) and I just say my stomach isn’t handling alcohol that well so I’m trying to limit it. That’s it. No more detail. It seems to work. It is my body and my choices. I am trying not to be influenced by others. Now when I go to my mom’s — it gets a bit harder.

@mshawski - way to go momma! I’ll bet your son was so happy about sleeping in that tent! Kids love those memories.
@LazyBlondeChef - have a wonderful vacation! Sounds like you have a great plan in place.
@readyornot1234 - really wise advice there.
@pamjsa - sorry it was such a tough year. Kudos to you and all teachers who kept our students educated during an impossible situation. I hope next year is the BEST year for you.
I will continue wearing my mask in most public places, even though I’ve been vaccinated. I’m worn out with people trying to argue with me about it but also past caring what they think. I manage an airport and let me tell you, pilots are the most opinionated people around. I had one guy yell at me when I told him he had to put a mask on, and then throw his credit card at me while shouting about his freedoms. It’s one thing to choose to not wear a mask, it’s another to endanger someone else.
Yes to all 3.

I have to get better at it. I refuse alcohol because of physical reactions. You're right, I should be able to do the same with food.2 -
RangerRickL wrote: »For those of us in the United States, suddenly, as of today, if you have been fully vaccinated and more than 2 weeks has passed, you are no longer required to wear a mask outdoors and indoors. Hopefully, this will not lead to an uptick in the SARS2 virus, but as of today, Hurrah!
Exceptions are public transportation, airports/airplanes and healthcare locations.
@RangerRickL
I noticed so few wearing masks on my walk the day this news broke. Some gave me suspicious looks as I was wearing mine. If you read down about 10 paragraphs, anyone who is immuno-compromised (cancer, Crohn’s, organ transplants, etc) were advised to speak with their medical team(s).
I signed up to be part of a clinical trial re: Crohn’s meds & COVID immune response over the next 18 months. Their preliminary results indicated a 90% immune response (!!) MUCH better than was reported by NY Times!
Hopeful for the future & wearing my mask!!Yesterday was pass day number 5.
As for today is a yes X3, made it somehow. I gotta thank the existing of this group, I would have stopped dieting long ago if not for reporting in, which give me a realization to what I'm doing and makes me straight again. Hopefully this will happen this time too.
@thabit11 Congratulations on today!! This group is magical! Once I get past 3 Pass Days, I stop counting. We need to be kind to ourselves on this journey! You are doing the sleuthing & problem-solving EACH DAY that will lead to your longterm maintenance. You are Winning!

@MadisonMolly2017 - are you in the John hopkins study? I am in that one and so far I have antibodies despite monthly infusions. The Times article scared the heck out of me. My doctor told me a lot of people, including doctors, completely misinterpreted the study results.0

@readyornot1234 @higa2021 Ready's post made me remember similar discussions during my WW days. I remember people saying how differently people react when your "reason" for not eating something is medical and I knew people who were resorting to claiming food allergies or the like and their need to debate ceased. Just an idea.4 -
