We get to see our wonderful son, our only child, TODAY (from a distance) as we drop off a car at the airport along with a bundle of groceries for him & his wife ... as they head into a 5-day quarantine & 2 day wait for The results of a CoVID test after a trans-Atlantic flight.
And THEN we’ll get to actually HUG him & be with them in 7 more days!!!!
I am BEYOND EXCITED 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I truly can’t believe it!

I forgot about my nsv the middle of the month comes to quickly. My nsv this month is that I have become a little more insightful in what foods I chose to consume I still have my temptations and down falls but with practice I hope to do better they may never go away but I guess moderation is best.9

Very pleased with my 65-minute brisk walk this morning! Haven't done anything like that for ages!
Stayed under calories, still eating fishy food, but I happen to love fish. Chilli con carne for lunch.
Logged everything.
I have to work in Paris again on Tuesday, so taking a train tomorrow late afternoon. Restaurants still closed and I arrive after curfew, so shops will be closed too, but I have organised myself asome microwaveable food, which means I can stay under calories.
@MadisonMolly2017 Great, I am so pleased for you! Jealous too, but I will see my sons hopefully before too long.9 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
• Planks Day 15 Intermediate (7min 31sec)
• Planks Day 16 Intermediate (8min 09sec)
• 30 min “Lift and Shred” (J. Michaels)
• Jogging 2.64 km in 0:18:00 (6:48 min/km). This was a short run under the rain with thunder to get my 500 fitness points for the day.
• Fitness Age/VO2max: 30/38
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes

I enjoyed a lot reading about others NSVs. This is my small improvement:
• Fitness Age/VO2max: 30/38 compared to 35/37 on April 15
In general, I should take care more about my eating and reduce the treats. And at last stabilize my weight at 66,-- . This week it was fluctuating between 66.2 and 67.1. I don’t want to see 67 any more

We have entered the monsoon season apparently here in Tx now. LOL.. Seriously I do believe we have rain in the forecast for the rest of the month. Of course then it won't rain again until Sept....
Maddie, awesome news about getting a visit with your son! It is difficult to comprehend and I am absolutely so glad we did not know just how long this pandemic was literally going to plague us. RangerRick, I am sorry that you are having to cancel your plans but it seems wise right now. Winner, sometimes you can only work on part of things at a time. There are always so many areas we can improve in that it can be overwhelming. I think you are doing GREAT! Chinkiri really REALLY nice walk. I bet that increased some endorphins for you.

As for NSV: I have better focus now than before, things that were hard to learn, have become easier now. I'm also more into doing house work, thinking of how many calories I'm going to burn makes me do it with light feet.
Goodnight 💜10 -
Wanted to share some pictures from my walk on Saturday

@thabit11 , I have done so little housework over the last 14 months - no visitors, no incentive. It will be a shock to have to get on with it again now.8 -

Three yeses for me today with lots of exercise, an hour walking my dog, half an hour in the gym and then half an hour swimming. I also feel really ready for next weight loss step. I’ve lost lockdown weight and am at a familiar weight and it’s felt almost like I can’t go any further. But I will, I know I can do it now, hoping to hit healthy bmi soon,

@MadisonMolly2017 So glad you can see your family after so long
@Bovaryoo What lovely place is THIS?!
So I did the run but my smartwatch (aka the pace keeper) conked out a third of the way in so I was running on nothing but assumptions and fumes for 40+ min. Google Fit has one set of stats (but the map tracking of the run is WAY off and highly suspect at 14+ km) and MFP said I ran a total of 68 minutes.
Since this is the second time my watch died on me during a run, I've downloaded some running apps which claim to have audio pace bunnies:
* RunKeeper
* Nike Run Club
* MapMyRun
Are any UACers using any of these? I wanna know so that when I try again next Saturday, I'm better prepared 😒

Not sure how long you have been in the city but my sister used to play the harp there quite often. Maybe you saw her sometime. She's up in Montreal right now I think making troubadour size harps and teaching to kids.6 -

I ate a ton today, but I was moving non-stop today too so the numbers worked out. Gym, yard work, gardening (like shoveling yards of dirt and moving it with buckets and a wheelbarrow). I hurt. Lol.
After trying to remember the NSVs I’ve previously thought of and failing, let’s go with the fact that I’m not over my calorie limit everyday stress eating my child’s behavior issues away. Thats a pretty big one I think. (I do daydream of mozzarella sticks, nuts I’ve only had them once in the past several weeks!)11 -
