I had to take my first pass day for the month as we went out for sushi and normally I have a sashimi salad and a couple of seared albacore nigiri to minimize the amount of rice consumed. But this evening I went with all nigiri and had one calorie bomb appetizer involving avocado and tempura.
For most of my weight loss I weighed every Friday to see where I was before the weekend as it helped decide what restaurant to go to on Saturday. In April I did the daily weighing which frustrated me too much so in May I went back to once a week. However this month I'm back to daily because I'm eating more with the recomp and I want to make sure I'm not gaining. I also am checking to see if there are any noticeable patterns. I'm not frustrated this month even though there are times I am lower when I don't expect to be and higher when I expect not to be.

I weigh myself daily & use Weight Guru, Happy Scale, & My Net Diary. I’ve done this since 2016 daily, so I don’t get upset by ups or dejected by downs anymore. I only look at monthly averages & my 10-day trend weight!

I weigh every day (when I’m at home) and use the Libra app to see the trend. I don’t tend to get daily fluctuations (post menopause) and I like to keep an eye on the trend.
I know that holidays will cause temporary weight gain and I like to make sure I get rid of it when I get home. I know that in the past it has been holiday weight gain that was my problem: 3 or 4 pounds gain each time I went away soon added up to 12, 14 lbs over a year.8 -

Three yeses today for me.
I’ve come to believe that there is no right or wrong answer for when one should weigh or not. Ultimately, what is most important it that the decision supports ones goals.
For me, my weighing is directly correlated to my attitude. If I am not weighing, then I am avoiding, which means healthy choices are not being made. So for me, pushing myself to weigh daily is beneficial.

Pass day 3 due to the pizza at my friend’s house. We had a few girls get together to watch fight night (one of our team was fighting). I didn’t even log out because I knew I was over. I did get good exercise in with walking to and from morning training which involved coaching kids and some good take down drills before a tough rolling session.
I aim to weigh daily and log my weight because it helps me see fluctuations which will affect what I will weigh on competition days and whether I will make the weight I want to or not. I’ll only be able to predict how hormones etc affect my weight if I have an accurate record to work from. I expect fluctuations but when the increase gets too high over a few days it does motivate me to be stricter about my food.
I definitely think that the frequency of weighing yourself depends on lots of factors but I’m happy to have found what works for me.5 -

What relationship with the scale works for you?
I've weighed daily, every morning, in my birthday suit since DEC2019. This is my life now 🤷🏾♀️ But I also take tape measurements on the 1st/15th of each month so the scale doesn't have the final say.
@Mrs_Hoffer can't wait to "meet" Ivory Rose. What a beautiful name.

I am not doing well on this challenge but being accountable is making more aware of the mindless eating that I do. This week I am going to try to focus on improving my IF and watching my carbs a lot closer.7 -

And yes, I weigh myself daily. It seems critical for keeping myself accountable. I record my weigh in a regular paper calendar, the type you get in the mail for free. I have several years worth of data. It is sometimes interesting to go back and look at it and look at trends relative to events in my life. I wish weight did not affect me the way that it does but it is a struggle for me to maintain my weight so I am always working at it. I do appreciate that my husband, who has no weight issues at all, weighs everyday too. I am always fascinated in how our weights will parallel each other based on the food we have eaten. It has kept me sane when I get on the scale and suddenly see it is up a couple of pounds. If I could take my scale on vacation with me, I am sure it could only help.5 -
