    Oh Connie, is that from your Colorado trip? Love the mountains behind that stream!

    We have a body of water that is called Ward's Creek, but it's more like a river. Then we go over a couple of rivers and they are a bit wider but come right off the ocean, which we can see when we go into Morehead. We go over four bridges when we go into Morehead. I love it!!!

    Yes, that is from our last trip to Colorado. I sure would like to go back. If Bill's health stays stable, maybe next summer. This is my favorite from the trip.

    What a great picture. I was reading in something and they were talking about how the pioneers used to fell the big trees and use the roots as fencing around their land and use the rest of the tree for their houses. There was a picture and it looked so neat! (I'm aging myself with that term!)

    I'm not a fan of tattoo's, but it's a good message. I also think of a tree in the midst of a storm. Storms cause it to put its roots down deep so that it won't be torn from the ground. The rain that comes with the storms causes the roots to dig deeper into the soul and give it a firmer base!

    Brings to my mind, the song "The Anchor Holds".....hearts were broken when Ray Boltz confessed to being gay. God gave him such a gift. That song has ministered to me more than once in my life....3cwnzscrqqja.jpg

    Will Your Anchor Hold

    1 Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
    When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
    When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
    Will your anchor drift or firm remain?

    We have an anchor that keeps the soul
    Steadfast and sure while the billows roll,
    Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
    Grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.

    2 It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand,
    For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand;
    And the cables passed from His heart to mine,
    Can defy the blast, through strength divine.

    3 It will firmly hold in the straits of fear,
    When the breakers have told the reef is near;
    Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow,
    Not an angry wave shall our bark o’erflow.

    4 It will surely hold in the floods of death,
    When the waters cold chill our latest breath;
    On the rising tide it can never fail,
    While our hopes abide within the veil.

    This is one of my favorite hymns!

    We were to get between 8-14 inches of snow on Wednesday, but only wound up with 2.5 inches. They had pretty much closed the area down expecting such bad weather and it really wasn't bad. The worst part was a glaze of ice under the snow. Now it is starting to melt (every yard in the subdivision except ours). We have a house in the cul-de-sac and our yard is shaded pretty much all day. It is actually humorous to see snow in our yard and not anywhere else.
