Happy Saturday!!
I have learned that each day of the month is important! In effect, they all count. Just as each calorie or step does.
SO, what are YOUR DREAMS?
What did you want to do when you “grew up”?
What were your interests in 6th to 8th grade? Did you lose sight of them? Why not begin now?!!
What will you do to maximize the use of these next 8️⃣ days to make your dreams come true?
Consider this:
Spending just 10 minutes a day on something you love will total 1-1/2 work weeks a year from now. (More than many of us get as vacation days.)
30 minutes daily = a month of work days yearly
An hour a day: 2 work months
What are your dreams?
A hobby
a novel
a physical goal
social gatherings/make new friends/see old friends
learn a new skill for a new type of job
learn a new language for a dream vacation
surfing
flower arranging
— the possibilities are endless!
What can you do TODAY to get closer to achieving what makes your heart sing?
What will you accomplish in the next 8 days!! Every day counts!! Let us know what lights you up!!
WHY this topic?
Creating the life we always dreamed of becomes part of our Big Why! Motivates us to practice habits & track the things that help us to be healthy — so we have the energy & the health to do what we always dreamed of!!

Plant positive thoughts and nurture them to fruition.
I am in the fortunate position that I am living the dreams I had in my youth.
DH and I worked and planned this all our married life.
Tomorrow we celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary.
We hope to celebrate many more.
Poetry is my passion, creation is one of the my pleasures in my life.
💫✨🌟 May you have a Stellar Saturday 🌟✨💫8 -

@MadisonMolly2017 and @terririchardson112 wat a beautiful profound topic. Love ur poem to bits and also love how u and dh hve chosen to live ur life!!! Hubby and i are hving daily conversations about this as we were both in high pressure stressfull careers that made us so unhappy! I since extended my maternity leave and he quit his job a few weeks ago so we are now living off our savings until he does some soul searching to discover wat he wants to do next. I still hve 8 mths before i go back to work so i will then also hve decisions to make. Doing something u dislike is soul crushing and im so intrigued to hear how others stay happy, content and fufilled in life. Mine atm are weekly massages, a good tv show or podcast, making my bub laugh, drives around our beautiful beach suburb and actively meeting new friends as all my friends live 2.5 hours away. Xo4

Not today but LOTS of exercise. Back to normal on the 27th4
-
Normally Saturdays would be a rest day for recovery but considering how my overall workout load has shifted downward with no running I don't think a total rest day is required or wise right now. I took a nice, long, leisurely walk this morning observing the change from sights and sounds of night time on the trails to those of morning before the kids got up.

Dreams growing upI was blessed to grow up to do what I always wanted to be when I grew up, quite fringe geek for 6th-8th graders in the early 80s, making computers work for people. From hardware, networking, software and databases to get the task done, I've done a great deal of it. I'm still in that field, but things are not quite as satisfying as they once were. At this point I suppose I basically just compose data streams together for folks as a living. I still prefer building new things from scratch, but I'm not a visionary with the next great tech idea in my mind, so I'm not making anything. It's all been done at this point, it seems!
Future...left blank for now. Lots going on and not sure how to prepare any more than just getting to each new day and new challenges.2 -
It didn’t save I can’t do it all again… all three done a busy day4

@MadisonMolly2017 when I was in 6th grade, I had the most important teacher of my life, Mr Rhoades. He would read books aloud; challenged us to read and to write creatively.
One time he asks to write something to our future adult selves-to-be. I wrote a letter to me that asked that I not let die the child-side of then-me and to become someone that my 6th grade self would enjoy being with.
That has been an important encouragement to me as an adult. I love to laugh with others and to be an encouragement to them.
Thanks for asking!

Yes, yes, and yes, though exercise was limited.
Heading off for a few days of vacation in the morning, driving to Oregon. Not sure how I will do there, but will try. I am way over on pass days already, so no WC, no matter what.4 -
Did I exercise 20 minutes? Yes, went canoeing with my husband for 2.5 hours
Did I eat within my calories? Yes
Did I track everything? Yes
Freggie servings - 2
Topic today is very thought provoking. My husband and I drove out to the mountains for our canoe trip today and we talked a lot about the future and some things we may want to do differently.
I too like @donna25trinity mentioned find my career and work life extremely stressful and "soul crushing" can be how it feels at times. Then at other times, I am simply just thankful for the lifestyle it affords me. But then I get caught up in a bit of a loop...
Anyway, am I living my dream career wise? No. But I don't know what that dream is. I have no suggestion for what could be better, and in a lot of ways like I said I have a lot to be thankful for, so I've just made peace with that. I have a wonderful husband and a great life and our focus is just on how we are changing our lifestyles to get the most out of the time we have together.6 -

Hey All,
I guess I asked a big question…
I decided I wanted to become really adept/facile at drawing botanicals with an original style in ink over time.
My husband & I are developing a gardening joint hobby & I realized that gives me an excellent place to practice different plants/leaves/flowers over time!
I drew parts of our 25-30 year jade plant this evening with three different types of pens. Not great, but I’ll get there. More than half the battle is really seeing it.
I am going to spend 10 minutes a day drawing plants in my yard this week.

Kudos for staying on track.
@WhatMeRunning - I was where you are 20 years ago. Then I got an opportunity for early retirement and I took it. I never looked back. Tempus fugit Carpe Diem.
@RangerRickL - I know that your six year old Self would absolutely love you. I did lose sight of mine for a short while, but she resurfaced, and I took her back into my heart. I nurture her daily.
@alligatorob - I hope you have a wonderful time on your holiday. I'm sure you'll find lots to keep you entertained. You are still a Champion.
@ashleycarole86 - Your career sounds like many peoples peoples careers. There are good times and lots of good times. However, you have an excellent attitude which will allow you to move on when the time is right. Have a wonderful time on your canoe trip.
@ForLangston -
We all have days like that. Only 7 more days to go, so hang in there.
@MadisonMolly2017 - You certainly did ask a biggie. But we all need these thought-provoking questions. I love your artistic endeavours, but I'm sure that that 10 minutes often stretches to much more. Creating things is such and engrossing activity.
@Winner_in_Life - Moving house is one of the most stressful things in our lives. I'm not surprised that it temporarily got to you. Hang in there. It will be worth it in the long run.
I'll be back later to read some more of your posts. The question that Maddie posed has certainly produced very interesting life stories.3 -

Exercise – yes, no bike ride but lots of walking (14,000+ steps)
Tracked – yes
Calories – yes
Does standing for long periods of time count as exercise? We were out for the day to go to the theatre – the train journey there was horrible! After we boarded the train, we were told it was going to be diverted because of signal problems. So ,what should have been 30 minutes turned into 75 minutes, and because the train was packed to the rafters we were standing almost the entire journey! Eventually a young woman took pity on me and gave me her seat for the last 10 minutes.
I have nothing to say about dreams as my world has been turned upside down in the last few months. It is/was/should be my son’s birthday on the 25th. This time 42 years ago I was waiting to see him for the first time. (he was 2 weeks late so I was rather impatient by this stage!)

You guys are doing so well! I am not! I feel like July has been a bit rocky. But I'm going to make that last week a better one. Going to remem what someone said about it being a choice. I'm lucky it's a choice. So I should be careful to make good choices.
In 6th grade I wanted to be a vet. In 8th grade, I wanted to be a chef. I've read obsessively all my life. Now I'm a cat-owning librarian who cooks and bakes 😃 I feel very happy.6 -

Yes, me too. And my husband too. Found we averaged 3-4.
We’re continuing, too!
This past month I added a teeny habit to practice…checking if I needed to defrost any protein for dinner or not. I realized if I had that couple of ounces, all my eating went better. (I also drink milk, peanut butter, etc.)
It went perfectly.
In August, along with continuing my sleep habits [which are working Beyond My Wildest Dreams…as of Night 3 🤣], I am going to add to this…do we have enough *appealing* fruit/veg for 3 days out. This way we should have at least as much as we need - always.
I am now in the place for each meal -or snack- much like my hikes. Not…do I want fruit/veg, but rather which one(s) will I be eating!!
Thanks for joining the Freggie Challenge, @biketheworld!

✔️✔️✔️ Spent all day walking around the Ark in Kentucky today with my sister. It was her 1st time there. My 3rd. I've never seen it so packed!! Even though I didn't get 20 mins of intentional "exercise", I'm gonna call this one a ✔️ because we walked and stood most of the day.
Freggie servings today: 5

✔️ Yoga/stretching (daily)

When I was young, I don't remember having any idea what I wanted to do. I was also pretty backwards and shy, only having 1 or 2 close friends all throughout school.
Now, I work a full time job with a large bank that I do not like and am no longer very ambitious about. I only have another 411 days until I can retire from this job and hope to be able to do massage on a more full-time-ish basis. My passion is helping other people to feel better and I love that I have my own massage business and can set my own hours, etc. (Right now I do this part time). My ultimate dream would be to have my own place, with other massage therapists that either work for me hourly, or as independant contractors and pay a weekly or monthly rental for their space (or both!) I would also have a juice bar (a shot of celery juice anyone?!) and a retail area where I sold essential oils and vitamins/supplements and other herbals and products.5
