@mshawski Happy birthday Maryann! 😊 🎂 🎈 🎉 I hope you have a wonderful birthday!4

It's quiet here today. Happy Sunday everyone and happy Birthday Maryann. (I am waiting to see if there are more rings coming!!!)
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes long run today after sprint workout yesterday
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes done with my 1 week cut today so I should be much more energetic and participative this week
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
As far as freggies. I have been preparing them the last few weeks so that I only have to copy from one day to the next mostly in my logging. I did up the serving size to 3 oz based on Maddie's insights. I also have some low salt tomato and V8 juice and grapefruit juice that can be servings as well. With it being SO hot and me losing a lot of water during my workouts it's nice to have the increased servings of fruit to help rehydrate!
Mostly I try to keep this particular UAC challenge very simple and limit it to the 3 things esp when I am struggling with time going in to work full time. A lot of great insights but sometimes you just can't do EVERYTHING and balance it out so focusing on the 3 basics always works!
We do have a lot of injuries here and I am hopeful for swift recoveries for those folks!

3xyes And a very good packing progress ☺️5

@SummerSkier It’s easy for us who are retired to do our exercise in small doses through the day, get our healthy veg-filled meals prepped, go shopping for fresh fruit and veg several times a week, and keep active in various ways, but I know it’s so much harder while working full time. Just keep it simple and do what you can. Every day you get those 3 basics done is a win!6

I’m calling another pass day, I only just managed the 20 minutes of deliberate exercise, and I have abandoned the idea of tracking lunch – we had a family bbq which included lots of salads and I’m pretty sure there was a lot more oil and mayo than I usually have.
It was a “special” occasion but a difficult one. My DIL and I had a few quiet tears. The children played happily together. It was good to be together. My ex hosted the lunch and he did a great job. I noticed he disappeared for a few quiet minutes a couple of times. My ex still lives in the house that we lived in since the children were really little so there were ghosts of previous birthday parties in the garden.
I moved out when the children were young adults but we have managed to remain civil and this tragedy has brought us together again.13 -

Yes quick walk, tracked & under. Xo5 -
Pass day 1 of 3 today. While I got an early morning hour+ walk in and pre-logged, the day went sideways. I am pretty sure I was within calories for the day but tracking would be best guess and my protein for the day is likely short, and freggies short as well. Should do better tomorrow.5

@SummerSkier I feel you in that I'm also returning to work in the office - although I'm only in there 2-3 days per week right now... but I too am feeling that "squeeze" of being spread pretty thin! I have a 45 min commute each way, so there's another 1.5 hour per day, not to mention going to bed "early" so that I can get up at 4:20am! Ugh. But on another note, I wanted to THANK YOU for the freggie ideas of V8 juice (I use the low sodium) AND the grapefruit juice! Two more GREAT freggie ideas!! Lol.
@Winner_in_Life that's excellent news on your packing progress! When do you move? (Perhaps you've already mentioned it in another comment and I missed it).
@lesdarts180 My heart goes out to you on this special day. I can only imagine how hard it must be, but I'm glad that your family is so close - and that you've even become closer to the ex again. {{{HUGS}}}2 -
Planned Pass Day. Celebrating 55th Wedding Anniversary. Chose not to track today. Probably slightly over calories, although I did get more than my 20 minutes exercise done.
@lesdarts180 - So sorry that you all are going through this tough time. (((Hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻7 -

Awesome job on the hour+ walk... sorry to hear that the day went sideways after that! You are always such an inspiration though! I'm certain that you've got this!!!1 -
No winners circle this month to many birthday celebrations!! But… I still view myself as a winner wonderful family good friends and my health that’s worth a pass day best of luck to the rest this month but remember we are all winners in our own way just being here speaks volumes4

✔️✔️✔️ Exercise was my 11 mile "ice cream walk" today. That's not really a "rest" day, but it's the only day of the week that I have 4 hours to spend on walking into town and back!) Lol. It got up to 88(F) today, but it felt good! Came home to hubby setting the table for dinner of venison back straps, grilled zucchini, and cherry tomatoes, all from our garden (and the venison he shot last year!) He also made 2 more loaves of zucchini bread! (Such yumminess!!!!) He's definitely a KEEPER!! Lol.
Freggie servings today: 6
PASSES USED: 4/3 (3Jul)(4Jul)(Jul8)(Jul14)
✔️ Yoga/stretching (daily)
😃 Strength training (M,W,F) 😃 Rest Day
Personal Challenges Met: (16/25)

@snowshoe072 you are SO RIGHT about that! I'm glad that you had a wonderful birthday!0 -
My heart goes out to you today @lesdarts180.
May there be emeralds for you and your hubby @TerriRichardson112. Year 55 is your "Emerald Year" according to Google. Reason? They signify true love as well as devotion and adoration.
Speaking of bling... I also can't wait to see any new birthday-related rings you may wanna share pics of @mshawski
As for me, I'm in my head and feelings today but trying to right my proverbial boat. In the meantime, I've been reintroducing a bit more activity. I'm finding skipping, stretching and kettlebell swings don't aggravate my groin issue.
Yay...

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?YES | Skipping (15), Walking (38) TOTAL: 53 min
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES | Base + 118
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES |
---|---|---|---
Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (40%)? NO | 26%
Pass Days Used: (JUL19)
Sidenote: While I'm not doing the freggies challenge, I did say I'd be more mindful of fat intake (by keeping it to 20%). A while back, I adjusted my goal macros to 40-40-20 instead of 40-35-25.
For now, I'm not achieving EITHER my protein or fat targets. Yet, I am but a work in progress 🤷🏾♀️2 -

Thanks for all the birthday wishes over the past few days. ❤️🤗. As of today I’m now 38 which is the age I’ve been telling people I am accidentally for the past 3 years so it will be nice to be right about my age again 😂.
Yesterday wasn’t too bad calorie wise, however today - I left dinner so full I feel gross. It’s making me happy about the idea of getting back on track this week and August being a month of actually tracking g pass days for UAC.
Rings? Um. What makes you guys think I got a ring? 😬😒
Dragons vein agate ring from my aunts, rainbow moonstone necklace from my mama. ❤️
But the best ring was the ring pop my 5 year old gave me from his precious stash of ring pops.8 -
