Happy Non-Scale victory day! This is that fun day of the month that members share their successes that are unrelated to the scale.
What NSVs did you have for this August?6 -

That's an awesome NSV Donna @donna25trinity !! Huge kudos to YOU!! And playing with bub in the back yard sounds like it could be pretty "active" to me! Dancing too! Great job!!3 -
August 15th!
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Like @donna25trinity I am going to say my NSV this month has been keeping some "dangerous" foods in the house and managing to portion them out without going into binge mode or ending up throwing them away. One thing I have found in maintenance is that every once in a while you need to take a step back and remember to savor your food and not just gobble it down. LOL.. Being happy with smaller portions of tasty food and not letting the enjoyment lag because you are not savoring.
Have a great Sunday all!9 -
3xyes
Epic HIIT workout + 5km walk 😊
I can do now real pushups, not knew ones. Maybe I can do them already for a longer time, but I didn't dare to try till this week 😊9 -

It's premature to call it a NSV until at least tomorrow, but I have been feeling comfortable enough with the idea that I tested my foot with a 1 mile run during my walk. No signs of plantar fasciitis flaring up yet but the next morning is the only way to really tell if it was a good or bad thing.9 -
Yes x3. Run for exercise.
My NSV is that were were on a bit of a hike with my future SIL and my MIL. I had the baby in a baby carrier on me. My SIL made a comment about how fit I am.
Noone would have ever made that comment when I was younger.10 -
NSVs in the past month...
* For the first time ever, I can feel my obliques. 🗣️ These abs are on the way!
* My waist, even when NOT flexed/sucked in - my natural state unless asleep lol - is finally under 30". This means I've met every external metric for clinical "good health" I can think of.
* Last year at this time, I was doing less strength training than walking. I'm on track to do about 40% more strength training compared to AUG2020
Upcoming goals/NSVs? This is more of a note to self...
* Work back muscles...
- SEP workout (lighter): https://www.christinacarlyle.com/back-workout-women/
- OCT workout (heavier): https://legionathletics.com/bigger-stronger-back-workout/
Also, not an NSV but I miss @Dory_42 😔 All the UACers kinda stick with me in some way or another. I didn't wanna say anything at the time but I even missed BANDIT 🐎 for a while there lol

1/3 pass days to much moose track ice cream but I did log every bite and tracked it all my exercise was some stair work and resistance bands.
My NSV is that my knees feel really good a little aggravation every now and then but… I have been working on squats they are getting easier and I can do more than when I started. I have also been working on Russian deadlifts with my medicine ball and I feel much more flexible.9 -

@donna25trinity you had asked me about my "fast" day on Friday - it was a fasting day for religious reasons. Lol.
Sorry, I guess I should've given more details. A good friend of mine from my church was in a horrible car accident last Wed and has a horrible concussion. Thankfully she walked away with no broken bones or other injuries, other than being pretty banged up - but her concussion is pretty bad. Her short term memory is completely gone right now and she's having trouble even putting sentences together. She's having nightmares every night. I've never seen anything like it before, but I've never known anyone with a concussion either. Several of the ladies in our church had decided to spend Friday praying and fasting for her complete recovery/healing. Doc says it can take several weeks to several months for her short term memory to completely return. If you're a praying person, please say a prayer for my friend Holly. 💗 Thanks.
Someone else had asked me how I can work so hard and exercise while fasting for 24 hours.... I've just learned to pay close attention to my body.... if I'm feeling light headed or dizzy at all, I would, of course, break the fast. But I've done periodic fasts my whole adult life.... I know that not everyone can do that (or should do that!)7 -
@SummerSkier good for you for having such will power. I guess we all have to learn what our kryptonite is! Lol.
@Winner_in_Life good job that you can do pushups!! Building strength is very important too!
@MaltedTea a 30" waist! Huge kudos to YOU woman! You're amazing! Your hard work is paying off!
@TerriRichardson112 and awesome job on those "tramlines" !!
@snowshoe072 ooooohh. You had me at Moose Tracks ice cream - say no more! Lol. Awesome job on the Russian deadlifts with that medicine ball!
Awesome job on 3 yesses today @clutterqueen @lesdarts180 @MaltedTea @SummerSkier @TerriRichardson112 @TwistedSassette @WhatMeRunning @Winner_in_Life and @Geneveremfp

✔️ Protein >100g? Yes. 102g.
✔️ Yoga. Yes.
Kettlebell. Rest Day.
✔️ 12k steps Yes.
My NSV is that someone at church today asked how much weight I'd lost! It felt good that people are noticing!8 -
1/3 pass days. It was a lazy Sunday and I ate what sounded good. Almost the whole family was here. That is always good.7
-
Lol, this morning was a bit of a whoops moment. I was making a smoothie and threw in a few extra ingredients. Cough.. 649... calorie smoothie which is about double my normal breakfast. So ended up over. I like getting the fruits and veggies in my smoothie, but I'm also just not finding them as filling.
NSV - Since it was 95 degrees the other day when we went to the park, I decided not to wear my Spanx shorts under my sundress. I still remember the time I forgot to wear them to school with a dress and had to borrow baby powder from someone because my thighs were so chapped. This time they didn't bother me at all!!

NSV is no wine this month. I feel better, and can eat more food ☺️.9 -
Exercise: 30 minute run. Little hair of the dog after yesterday's five miler. I have an out of town guest but I was still diligent and said I HAD to hit the road for 30 minutes.
Tracked:
Calories: I had guests for dinner and made chicken parm and fettuccini, a favorite meal of mine. I didn't touch it nor was I even tempted, as I sat eating a plate of spring mix. I also didn't have a problem forgoing the wine/beer everyone was drinking.

Did I exercise for 20 minutes? You bet, 65 minute walk the first time and 37 minutes the second time.
Did I track everything? You bet, forgot about one coffee but got it in before the end of the day.
Did I stay within my limit? Yes I did!
My latest NSV is how much better my yoga practices feel at a smaller weight. There is less of me to move around and I've also been increasing my strength so it feels better in multiple ways.7 -

Exercise?
Tracking?
Below calories?
How do I know I was below my calorie budget today when I didn't track everything? Due to my scheduled procedure tomorrow morning, I've been on a clear liquid diet today. I've been drinking water and diet soda all day. I think I'm at about 4 gallons at this point. So my exercise today has been limited.... And oddly enough, I've been freezing since early afternoon. I think it's because everything I've been drinking has been cold.
My NSV this month was my blood test result and the comment in the care summary from my doctor's visit this week. A1C = 5.4 Summary called my Type 2 Diabetes "well-controlled." Yay!
Good night all....
