Exercise? Tracking? Calories? Hmmm... how shall I put this?
I'm very frustrated with myself. I know I can do better at this. Also, I find I'm missing my bike rides (but loved the rain) and I'm waiting for the weekend, which I believe is supposed to be clear, so I can ride and also try out my new runners. Today, I drove myself to work so no walking to/from bus. Because I hate fighting with the lock on the door to the chambers hallway where my assigned courtroom was today, I took the elevator that opens on the other side of that damned door when going down to it. I did take the stairs back up, 4th floor to 7th floor each time I went back to my office. I got about 2 minutes of simple stand/stretch between a couple of hearings, thanks to the Judge wanting to get up and move around. And I walked the dog tonight. Still didn't make the 20 minutes though. As frustrated as I am, however, I don't plan on giving up. I'm not as good as I should be, but I'm not as bad as I could be. And right now, I have to take that as a plus.
Good night UAC fam! I'm off to sleep. I hope.9 -

I just realized that while I managed to make my daily post, I completely missed cheering on this incredibly amazing group of people!
@msgawski that really stinks about your son being sick with COVID. I hope he has a mild case and improves quickly, and that life returns to normal again soon. Sounds very overwhelming.

It sounds like a few of us had a less than stellar day yesterday. I hope the upcoming days treat everyone much better. You all did the most important thing though by sticking to your goals of maintaining accountability which is the whole point of this challenge @GrandmaJackie @jamcnewman @lesdarts180 @seilidhe7 -
Thanks all. He’s definitely showing symptoms (fever, congestion, sore throat, headache, vomitting that has at least stopped after the first two days) and he’s sleeping like garbage so mom has been sleeping (and eating) like garbage 😂. The fever is what made us get him tested. He only goes to camp and we work from home so it seems like he could have only gotten it at camp. When we called they said he was the first case they had though they had “a lot of kids with a stomach bug”. Yup. So my guess is parents were diagnosing kids themselves and not getting kids tested 😑.
Knock on wood it appears he’s on the mend 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’m thankful I’m work from home (and was before COVID was a problem) and my boss is amazing so him being home watching Ironman movies while I work isn’t a problem.9 -
@mshawski I really hope your son get better soon 😟.
@znaoiec Amazing workout 👏👏.

@bradkcrew You are so right, we can never know what will happen untill it happens.
@seilidhe Wanting to get healthier is very important, we will find our ways eventually, but not caring to begin with, will take us nowhere. Good luck to you.3 -

Goodnight/ good morning to you all 💛💜3 -
@bradkcrew Congrats on your records! And huge kudos to you for signing up for the 15k! How cool that your son's gonna run it with you! I'm excited to follow your progress and of course the race as well!
@mshawski glad to hear your little guy is on the mend. Where have these parents been the last 1.5 years that they would send their kids to camp with ANY illness at all! Ugh.
@seilidhe {{{HUGS}}} 🤗 I know you're struggling, but HUGE KUDOS to you for not giving up! When I went through a rough period in the late spring this year, I raised my daily cal goal (food diary) to a maintenance level number so that I would still track (and STAY in the habit!), but still have a number that I had to shoot for as far as staying "under". I didn't want that time to become a "free-for-all" and knew that it very easily could! My only goal during that time was to NOT GAIN ALL MY WEIGHT BACK! Then, after about 5-6 weeks, when my "personal life drama" was over and I was able to concentrate and settle back into a routine, I lowered the cal goal back down and picked up where I had left off! I was very happy that during that time (just under a cpl months) I had not gained any weight! Just a suggestion. I just know that we've all worked very hard to get where we are!
@_JeffreyD_ is there something in particular that you're finding extra difficult this month!? We have such an insightful group here, perhaps we can help! I think you've done a fantastic job this month and you're still in the running for the Winner's Circle!! We've got 11 days to go! Lol.3 -
@mshawski Maryann, I am hoping your son recovers quickly. This is exactly how my farrier's young son presented with stomach flu. He also would not have had him tested except that one of the painters who had been at his house the week before was in the hospital with Covid.... I am betting that most of the kids at camp and now there families are going to go thru this. My farrier - the entire family of 6 kids got it. The mom never had a fever tho. They did not have to go to the hospital thank goodness but I think this "stomach" flu is quite common for delta in young kids.
totally sucks and WHINE ALL YOU WANT!!!!!3 -
Congrats on the excellent day @thabit112
