Good Morning and Happy September 1st. A fresh start, a clean slate, a brand new month and good things to come!
To start off, CONGRATULATIONS to our Winner’s Circle Members who made it through all of August using 3 or less Pass Days! Terrific job! 🏆

Hopefully I've included everyone correctly. Please let me know if you made the circle but were omitted.
Welcome to all of our new members! You have joined a great community. Be sure to ask if you have questions or need support. The diversity in our group means that invariably someone will have ideas and be able to help you.
It takes a little while to build a good habit, so if you find yourself struggling, or are ready to quit, I hope you'll give this group at least the first few weeks to work on cementing a good habit. Perseverance is a foundational trait that will ultimately help you towards your goals.
To the UAC members, both old and new, I am asking, do you have any specific goals for Sept? (They don't have to be related to weight loss either.) And do you have a plan? We'd love to hear it!
(edited to add @MaltedTea to the Winner's Circle!)16 -
Hey guys - excited for another month of fun? I know I am!
My September goals (I won't be reporting on them here, but just so you know):
1) Complaint free days - @donna25trinity was it you that was doing this? Oh my gosh it's SO hard. I have only done a few... to get the 21 day streak seems a mile away, but I have it on my list.
2) 10,000 steps a day (or exercise equivalent)
3) 2.5 liters of water daily
4) Yoga 3x/week
5) Alternate push-ups and bodyweight squats daily
Along with of course the big 3 UAC goals which are really the foundation of my whole plan.12 -
Congratulations all you Winners! Well done!
My main aim will be to stick UAC for the whole month and make at least the Champions' Circle. I know that I will need Pass Days for my Mum's 99th birthday on 25th, but other than that I should be able to manage! My Yoga classes will start again on 13th, there are two walks planned with my Walking Group, I've got tickets for some concerts, so my mental and physical wellbeing should be covered too!17 -
Congratulations to all the winners! That is so inspiring. This is my first month doing the challenge and my goal is to do it!17
-
You can do it @Caroline_slowandsteady !! "Showing up" every day is the very first step! You got this!!
Sept Goals:
✔Net carbs under 25%/daily
✔Protein over 100g/daily.
✔Steps (see goal below)
✔Miles (see goal below)
✔Yoga/ Daily (10-15 mins)
✔Crunches (I usually do 20 of these as part of my yoga routine. Will try to increase to 25 this month!)
✔Kettlebell OR weight training MWF
✔Planks (TRS) (my best time is 60 sec)
✔Counter pushups/Daily (my average is only about 10-20 of these daily.
I did NOT meet my miles (walking) and step goals for August, but I'm not mad. I'm going to try again for Sept with the same goal: 500k steps and 150 walking miles. @mshawski would be proud of me because I've actually created a spreadsheet to help me stay on track throughout the month!! I'll keep y'all posted - perhaps with weekly updates!
Aug Step Goal was 500,000 --> my total steps were 462,890
Aug Walking Goal was 150 miles --> my total miles were 132.5 miles.
(same goal in Sept)
The last couple of months, I've also had water (96oz) and eating gluten free as part of my daily goals, but I've taken those off the list because I've got them pretty cemented in as habits. My plan is to focus this month on the strength training.10 -
Terrific goals @ashleycarole86 and @Chinkiri !! And yes, you'll definitely need to save a Pass Day for your mum's 99th birthday!9

Congratulations to everyone in the winner's circle! Welcome to the newbies! And kudos to the people that showed up everyday.
My goals:
1. I lost four pounds during last months challenge, and I'm thrilled. But I was tired, so I'm going to add some calories, and shoot for 2-3 pounds this month.
2. I like @Mrs_Hoffer's idea of daily crunches, so I'm going to try that. I realize I'm standing with my gut hanging out a lot. 😳
Good Luck Everyone! HAPPY SEPTEMBER!12 -
My primary goal is making sure I am doing well with the 3 UAC goals. Since I feel I have maintained good discipline there I am going to challenge myself further by updating my "Additional Challenges" on top of those UAC goals as follows:
New Challenges for September:
🏋️♂️ 3+ Strength Sessions in Last 7 Days - I let my strength sessions slip by for a couple weeks in August. That all began with skipping lower body days due to the plantar fasciitis, and then upper body and core days magically started being skipped as well. I do not plan on doing the lower body routines, but this goal is meant to ensure I keep up with the upper body and core sessions this month!
👣 17k+ Steps - I really surprised myself with 644,775 steps in August and am hoping to match that with 640k+ steps for a second month in a row! Looking back in August my low step days were on the weekends with about 15k to 17k steps on those days. So getting a minimum of 17k on those days is my challenge to myself in September.
🚶♂️ 7 Day Avg. 7.5+ Walking Miles - I was also very surprised to walk 247 miles in August and am hoping to get 240+ miles again in September! That will require an average of over 7.5 miles/day throughout the month. Some days will be higher, some lower, which is why I am setting this as a 7 day average instead of a daily number.
New exercise?
I also hope to start adding in a late evening meditative walk. Just a short ~30 minute walk to relax and be mindful. It is not meant for burning calories.
Challenges going on "mute"
I won't post these additional challenges daily in September because I am feeling comfortable that I can maintain them in September. However, I will still track them and provide an update at the end of the month. If I find I backtracked on any of these I will add them back in for October.- Net Carbs 30g or less
- Protein 180g or higher
- 5+ Fruits/Veggies
- Eat back fewer than 30% of Exercise Calories
12 -
One of my goals is to follow a Whole30 diet for 30 days. I call it "clean eating".11
-
1st September
1st day 3 x Yes! Hopefully many more to follow!
Lots of walking, about an hour at least, stayed under calorie budget and logged everything.
On the last train home ...9 -
So many inspiring goals ☺️
Mine - no more weight loss ☺️ It is enough. Continue with my Epic program. Today was Day 8/50 Upper body workout 💪. 3km walk in the evening. Good luck to everyone in accomplishing the goals 🤞10 -
Here are my goals. Probably gonna need a pass day thanks to way too big of lunch (I wasn't thinking)
At least 15,180 steps a day
Stay below calories
Gym every school day, walk on weekends.
8 cups of water a day
3 positives a day
check in with others
Pretrack lunch
Dessert only with others
avoid chocolate
no night time eating

Sept 1. wow.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
do you have any specific goals for Sept? (They don't have to be related to weight loss either.) And do you have a plan? We'd love to hear it! So, actually the answer is NO. I am feeling a little "stretched" right now for some reason so plan to stick to basics. Run, Ride, Brush the critturs.10 -
I am a newbie and really excited about this accountability group. I am a very competitive person and love challenges.
My health goals for the month are:
1) Gym 5 days per week
2) Do stretches every day
3) Golf twice a week and walk the course instead of using a cart
4) Track food and be below calorie adjustment every day
5) Drink at least 72 ounces of water daily
My personal goals for the month are:
1) Say prayers daily
2) Do 1 act of service daily
3) Read a chapter in a non-fiction book daily
4) Make bed before leaving room in the mornings daily
5) Tell my wife (Bam-Bam) that I love her to face instead of text
Play Ball my fit and motivating new friends!!13 -
Personal goals for September 2021:
1. Plan to be in winners circle (track everything as expected in this UAC)
2. Not more than 3 pass days
3. Stay honest (even if it puts me out of the circle for the month)
4. Maintain the habits of "kitchen close"
5. Create a habit of not eating more than 1 serving of nuts. "Don't go nuts" - I am getting a handle on this goal. But will continue to maintain it!
5. Forgive my mistakes (forgive myself) and don't leave the UAC for this month even if I failed
6. Encourage others where possible.10 -
September 1, 2021
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Kitchen Closed? Yes
Di you go "nuts" with nuts today? No (1 days-free )
(I go "nuts" with nuts most times, trying to continue a good habit this month. Counting the number of "nuts" free days.) I am still learning a lot about myself in this area!
Pass day 0/3 (this is for accountability to myself and my records).7 -
Hi all!
Sorry I was MIA for the last couple of days of August. I think I landed with… 9 pass days?
Today was also a planned pass day.
Important adventures were being had. ❤️🦖🦕
I will nail down my goals and plans for September tomorrow when I will be a little more focused.

@Mrs_Hoffer - I am proud! Spreadsheets are a beautiful way of life! 🙌🏻
Congrats to all the winners circle members! 🙌🏻🤗6 -
Congratulations to all the winners in last month’s challenge! I’m a newbie and I’m looking forward to September’s challenge.
I lost 8 lbs over 6 weeks but my weight loss has stalled for the last 3 weeks. I suspect it’s from overdoing it on the weekends with a lot of social engagements. I’d like to lose another 5-10 lbs by the end of September.
My goals for this month are to break through the plateau that I seem to be having by staying within my calorie budget even on weekends!
September 1, 2021

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes

Yes x3
Running for exercise. I'm happy that I'm now back into "proper" runs (25 minutes today) . I feel less sad about my lost fitness.
My extra goals this month
1) I want to start incorporating strength training back into my routine. It'll be tricky with a breastfeeding baby so I'm only aiming for 2x a week so I can actually manage it.
2) screen free time. I don't really watch TV at all anymore and I've really enjoyed not watching it. I do end up on my phone way too much though. I'm going to try to leave my phone alone more often.9 -

3️⃣ Pass Days Remaining
This is my August Habit Tracker. I hope to continue with the habits I have developed and add one new one. In September I will write in my journal for 10 minutes every day.
12 -
So, I started September with a pass day.
I did get lots of exercise, cycling with my grandson and lots of walking.
I didn't track lunch or dinner.
Congratulations to everyone in the winner's circle!🎉8 -
So this is my first day starting this challenge and I will expect myself to do well on this. Looking forward to it.
Starting weight: 375
Sept goal weight 370
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?9 -
Based on how I track my September goals, I guess I'll be posting the following morning instead of afternoon/evening like I did in months prior! That also means that these few minutes I used to spend posting my update can be used to check in, which is quite nice.
Congrats to all who made the Winner's Circle in August!
I love the variety of goals. All the way from focusing the 3 UAC goals, to all sorts of other fantastic efforts. You are all crazy impressive!
@doubleplay_643 your #5 personal goal is a really good one and is reminding me I should make a similar habit with my wife. Thank you for the inspiration.
Congrats on the running @Geneveremfp it truly is a great feeling to get back to a level of being able to run regularly.
Congrats on starting off with a 3 yes day @SummerSkier @victorious55 @taurie @DebyS137 @TerriRichardson112
@mshawski and @lesdarts180 it sounds like you both had awesome days to me!7 -
Congrats to the August Winners Circle!
Hmm, I think for September my goal is to add my bread recipes to My Recipes, and track using grams instead of ounces for greater accuracy.
✅ - Exercise 20+ Minutes: walking to a beat inside (a la Leslie Sansone)
✅ - Calories within budget: yep, just squeaked in!
✅ - Tracked everything: I sointenly did!
Rock this everybody!
"Whatever your problem is, the answer is not in the fridge." [notsalmon.com/DO-IT]10 -
Congrats Winners and Champions!!!
Sept goals: Participate through month's end; Research and potentially experiment with fasting, and Strength training for 3 days a week.
Tracked, exercised, and at8 -
September 1
Yes to all questions.
Pass days: 0
________________
I had a goal since August to track my weight daily until I reach 75 kilos, but since I had the 30 and the 31 of August as pass days, I will stop weighing for a week to give my body a chance to lose water weight.
As for my September's goals:
- have an average of 8k by the end of the month.
- finish a minimum of 5 sessions of muscle workouts.
- finish a minimum of 5 sessions of stairs climbing.
- finish the month with zero pass days.
I have lowered my steps from 10k to 8k because I keep ignoring my muscles and focus only on walking. Hopefully this will help in increasing my workout sessions.
I'm so inspired by everyone's goals, good luck to all of you and may we all have a perfect month 💪💜🙏.
Welcome to all new members and congrats to the August winners and champions 🥰🥰.
Goodnight to you all 💛💜.8 -
Congratulations to all those who made the Winners Circle this month! Well done!🎉
I’m really enjoying reading everyone’s goals for Sept especially the non weight related ones. @DebyS137 I like your goal of having a daily Attitude of Gratitude in Sept. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we could all spend more time looking for the blessings we have each day rather than what we don’t have?
@doubleplay_643 I like your personal goal number 5!6
