Chris I love them both! Thanks for posting them again. I do the yoga with my mom. Might not always be the same one. She has a couple of favorites. This is one. And what is not to love about Shawn T? So inspirational. I had not known he had short workouts before Paula posted this one.
I did the Yoga one last night. We finally made it to the end.

Crazy rains, floods and tornado warnings again here. Sounds like a broken record
I think there were 2 tornadoes that touched down locally.. Luckily we were OK here and our basement was good. Our next our neighbor had flooding so Jim had to go clean them out. Let's see what it looks like in the morning. I'm all worn out!

Watching the weather channel nowadays is heavy drama. And your neighborhood is featured heavily. Looks insane. Hope you are all okay and you get a chance to rest up; both physically and emotionally.

Karen hope it gets better for you soon. I was in a flash flood years ago. Exciting and scary all at the same time.
I decided to be a slug last night and just lay around. Planning a trip to Fort Collins this weekend. Just a day trip. So excited to get out.

I did a mile this morning...things are much better...not back to normal, but much better.
Then I went to the grocery store...making chicken been soup. Couldn't quite remember how many cans of this bean or that bean to put in, so I winged it. Smells right!

There’s no doubt I’m letting stress lead me to junk food. I’m eating things I haven’t eaten forever and that has to stop. I’ve got to get in more exercise this month both inside and outside. Hopefully there will be less appointments in September. I will try these 2 videos as everyone seems to like them.

We were lucky to not have personal damage from this last storms. Bizarrely for 7 tornados to hit locally...not sure we have ever seen rains like this. Our basement held (it hasn't been filly finished yet...the rain was a good test of our waterproofing. ) We live on a development of 60 and 12 people had basement floods...just insane. But grateful.
So today having a very small BBQ...9 people. Of course I made much food...but lots of good choices. We are also going to do tye dye..and of course it will rain...lol. Oh well...just hoping to enjoy the company and relax. It has been a rough patch for me.

Karen so glad you weathered the storms well. Basement flooding is a pain. I am glad you had good choices at your barbecue. I have been skipping the news so had not known.
Kathy you will love the videos. And they are short. The yoga one you will find inspirational. And Shawn is so inspiring. Let me know what you think.

People at work have COVID. Our neighbors on the mountain do also. Crazy. Going on a 4 mile hike tomorrow. Then training with my granddaughter. Busy Monday

I practiced retail therapy during Covid, often buying clothes that were too small, expecting them to fit when my weight was back to normal. Now however, it is obvious that a couple pairs of pants will never in this lifetime make it over my hips. (asian sizing - gadzooks!)

Paula get rid of them quick. It was great therapy and hopefully not to expensive. But even if it was who cares. It made you feel good. I need new clothes. Don't like the way I know they will fit me and never buy any. I challenge us to buy something in our current size and post a photo of ourselves wearing it. What say you sister?
I did go on an hour hike this morning with my friend and her 2 dogs. Weight lifting with my granddaughter, Kaeldra, and our chair yoga with my mom. Very good day.

Worked out w/my trainer for 60 mins yesterday. Had the kids over for dinner...had a healthy wrap...then had to eat the cookie...then some grahams...no PB tho. It was the bottom of the jar and way, way too salty for me. It's Adams PB and has to be mixed...didn't get mixed all the way down. Oh, man! However,this morning my stomach was not happy...wonder why...dun...dun...dun...dun.
I put off walking until this coming weekend. Just want to make sure my ankle is alright. My knee will never be alright, but I can live with that. Just want to get out there, again!!

Shelley - I like your clothing pic idea! So I'll happen to have a pic for something I just bought/created. We had a small BBQ on Sunday and we all dis tye dye (super fun!) The shirt is a L...I love a women's cut on my body and the pants are a L also....wish I could find these exact leggings again...but not yet!
I've had a tough eating summer...up a few pounds. I can feel it is m y honesty pants. Not off the rails. Decided to stop weighing myself as it is making me feel bad....so will switch back to the pants being my barometer for a bit. I do have my annual doctor visit at the end of the month...so will see then anyway.
Happy with how this shirt came out. My first attempt at doing tye dye since I was super small

Karen what a beautiful shirt. It turned out great. And I am sick of wearing men's clothing also. My uniform is a mans. Hate that.
Kaeldra is the name of the main character in Dragon's Milk. (Dragon Chronicles, 1). It is a fantasy book written by Susan Fletcher. Loved it when I was younger. Might read it again.
Chris I am always amazed how you keep working out with a trainer. Love it. I think I want one when I retire.

Shelley, Sara and I started seeing her eight years ago...one year before Sara married Pete. Once a week for a while, then she trained us out of my house two or three times a week, then turned her garage into a gym, and I see her three times a week. She only lives 8 minutes from me.
Saw her this afternoon for an hour. It's getting harder, and I'm so glad!!

This is what junk food can do to you and very quickly the pounds come back. Not going to feel sorry for myself any longer. Getting out of bed and headed to the park. Not sure what I can do but getting started again. My mom has been so proud of my weight loss so I can’t let her down. That’s too close to 190 again. Focus and maybe the exercise will make me mentally stronger fir the road ahead.

Nice start, Kathy. I'm going to start walking again Saturday. Making sure my ankle is okay. I keep thinking about all the paths I've walked and it's killing me not to be out there...even if it's 100 degrees!!!

Chris I remember you and Sara working out to get ready for the wedding. I just did not know your trainer was doing out of her garage/gym. So how did you meet the trrainer?
Kathy I love your restart. And yes, don't let your mom down. Do it for both of you.
I am still doing the chair yoga with my mom. But am now starting to teach my granddaughter. Boy is she thin. Just mainly working on form now. Starting with low weights. I actually used my phone to take a little video of her to show her what her form looks like. It helps. and I get to see her more.
Baked some soft Peanut butter cookies for my co-workers last night.

Shelley, luck of the draw!! There is a huge sports gym down the street from us. Sara and I joined. They offer three-four free workouts with one of their trainers. If we were not satisfied they would switch us to a different trainer until there was a match. We got Tiffany first off, and man! were we happy!! We watched the other trainers and most of the female trainers were awful. Tiffany was/is great. Her garage has everything.

I asked my mom if she wanted to work out last night. Or go across the street on her scooter to the park. Or we could go to Albertsons. She was like a kid in a candy store. She couldn't believe I would walk to Albertsons with her. While shopping I had to remind her that we could only buy what would fit in the basket on her scooter. We will be doing that again. It was so fun. I then took Libby on our bike ride.
