Each month we recognize those UAC members who stay engaged in the group throughout the month, but did not make the Winner's Circle. While the primary purpose of the Ultimate Accountability Challenge focuses on the three pillars (daily exercise, tracking and calorie goal), consistency and perseverance are also highly valued.
Congratulations to our August UAC Champions:

I biked 59 miles yesterday. It was βgloriousβ @bradkcrew - I believe it was you that remarked on my choice of βgloriousβ last time - lol.
I explored towns and roads Iβve never seen before, and then stopped at my absolute favorite beach, Warren Dunes State Park. If anyone is ever in the SW Michigan area, this place is spectacular. Past that fence is more beach, behind me are sand dunes, The picture doesnβt do it justice. I had to stay up by one of the beach houses to take this because bikes and bike shoes and sand donβt get along very well. But this will give you a small idea. According to my garmin, I burned 3600 calories. According to the scale, I gained 2 pounds. Not fretting, one thing about weighing every day is that I understand how my body responds to this sort of thing.

@biketheworld It actually does sound wonderful, I am envious! I wish I could do something like that.7

I got my exercise early in the day but went out for lunch with friends and had a salad and some drinks so I just about managed to stay within my calorie budget by just having a protein drink for dinner. The weekends are th most difficult for me.

I really love the whole idea of the champions because those are the ones who are going to succeed totally in the long run. It takes a lot of chutzpah to keep coming back and checking in even when you have over 3 pass days. Congratulations (ps - I thought @MaltedTea was on the list)

Congratulations to all the Winners and Champions.
I feel a bit of a fraud being congratulated on being a Champion when I have had so many pass days.
I think I might manage better in September as I don't have quite so many holidays this month.
Having said that, I didn't track today. I came home today after 5 nights away, but had lunch with my daughter and then had a cream tea before driving home. If I put some work into it I could probably estimate my calories but I seem to have lost the motivation. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and see what damage the holiday has done.
Now I'm home I shall catch up with all the comments, stories, pics.
Goodnight.13 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Kitchen Closed? Yes
Did you go "nuts" with nuts today? No (3 days-free )
(I go "nuts" with nuts most times, trying to continue a good habit this month. Counting the number of "nuts" free days.) I am still learning a lot about myself in this area!
Pass day 0/3 (this is for accountability to myself and my records).10 -
Yes x3.
Really glad this exists. I was planning on a run followed by some strength training today but my husband had a migraine so couldn't look after the baby. I was so tempted to sack the whole thing off but instead I did a Jillian Michaels workout so I could watch the baby. I think it was the motivation to have a good month and not start on pass days that pushed me on.16 -
Congratulations all Winners and Champions. You all deserve it!
This is what I like about this group. The encouragement to stick to the end. It is not just about winning but about forming a habit that last. We all fall. Getting up, cleaning up, and continuing matters the most!12 -
Welcome new and old members.
Welcome September, the beginning of a lot of activities (school, etc.)
The UAC challenge has only 3 rules.- Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
- Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
- Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
At first glance, they look very simple. From my experience these rules are applicable to anyone at any stage of this health journey. Whether you are just beginning, advanced or maintaining. (BTW, I've being in maintenance for the past 11 years).
I have come to realized that these are the only things that nobody in this life will do for me. Nobody can eat for me/you, exercise for me/you or track what I/you eat, lick or bite in this world. This is all about me/you, my/your health, and my usefulness to those around me! If I don't take care of my health then I cannot take care of anybody. (You are always advised to put on your mask when there is low pressure in the plane before helping your child/anybody, else both of you will/may die )
Does it mean that I will not fail? No, it is not about being perfect! But it about forming a habit. A habit that will bless me and move me forward in life, it will also bless those around me.
Therefore, as you join us in this month's UAC, you do not have to be perfect. We are not This is a very supportive group. We will support you as you learn these habits. Come by everyday, read encouraging/funny/realistic posts, and post something.
If you have at most 3 pass days (pass day is a day where you could not say "Yes" to any of these 3 rules). Then you are in Winner's circle.
If you have more than 3 pass day but you were here everyday, you are in the Champion's circle.
Welcome, let's hold unto one another like the Sea Otters. Let's each other hands through this month!

Bravo to our hardy Champions. ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Your consistent daily logging, no matter what, is exemplary, and an excellent step on your road to better health and fitness. Repetition is the one of the keys to establishing habits which will serve you well.

Fabulous work to all the champions and those who made the winners circle itβs quite an accomplishment but even if you did make it stay engaged with the UAC and you will develop all of the skills you need to be successful. Remember though itβs all in how you define success.
I made it through all 3 today but I am tired my knees are sore but there is tomorrow.

@geneveremfp Great job! Last month I couldn't get out the entire day and I was determined to do something, so I ran up and down the stairs for 20 minutes. Certainly would NOT have done that without this challenge spurring me on!
Jillian Michaels is brutal!! I did her 30 day shred years ago and literally cried a couple of times.8 -
