Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

Our favorite day of the month, the 15th is when we share and celebrate something positive that we are experiencing. (Also known as NSV's or "Non-Scale Victories"!)
What is going right with you?

Last Christmas, my husband got me a custom made Bills jersey. It didn't fit....
Season opener on Sunday, and it fit like a glove! I felt GREAT!
Honestly, when I got it I thought it was never going to see the light of day...
So GRATEFUL!19 -

Journal done
Weights session then took bub to the park and chased after him for an hour.
Complaints bracelet used
No grazing
Stretching done
Had me time
Monitor sugars
Hmm my nsv would be setting my intentions for the day to Jounal, monitor sugar intake, workout, stretch, hve a bit of me time, be present with my bub and hubby, not graze and avoid unnecessary complaining. Ive stuck to all of them more days than not. Xox14 -
Most months, when the 15th rolls around, I can't remember what NSV I wanted to mention! Throughout the month I think of them, but on the 15th my mind always seems to go blank! Lol. But I've been thinking about this one a lot this month!
In the last year or so that my sister's hubby was living at home, his legs would often go out on him and he would collapse to the floor. He was a big man, and neither he nor my sister could get him up off the floor. They would have to call the squad or the fire dept every time to come and get him up off the floor. Eventually he had to go to a wheelchair.
When I was at my highest weight (225lbs in 2018), I couldn't get down on the floor to play with my grandkids - or if I did, it was ridiculous what all I had to go through just to get UP off the floor afterwards!)
Since I've lost over 45 lbs and have been doing yoga/stretching for a couple of months - I've noticed that I can get up and down to/from the floor SO.MUCH.EASIER. Not to mention that my knees and my joints don't hurt nearly as much! (I'm sure that my turmeric also helps with my knees/joints).
@ashleycarole86 that's an AMAZING NSV!!!! Congrats to YOU!!! I'm sure that was a wonderful feeling!!17 -
I wasn't sure what I might post for today. I see progress all around. But it has felt like no really significant milestones have been passed. Just so many small-ish improvements. Those many small improvements are my NSV as I can certainly recall just wanting progress at one thing, any thing, just so long as it improved. It's just hard to make it sound exciting. But there it is.14

NSV... a 3 yes day even tho I consumed a significant portion of today's cals between 1 and 2 am... OMG... But I learned something. If you record them as you DO them it really is not as mindless and it makes you slow down a bit. So glad it's SO easy to log on MFP... It also made me stay away from the really significant calorie crap that sometimes "happens"...15 -
My cold has gotten worse and Iβve lost my appetite. I still have the nursery run 2x a day so Iβm walking a lot and surprisingly still closing all of my rings on my Apple Watch. Guess this is what happens when you have an active toddler!
NSV:
Pushing myself at the gym has made my mind a bit stronger.
I have more energy.
General movement is a lot easier and I donβt feel as sluggish.
Iβve stopped stress snacking.
My silhouette has improved!

@ashleycarole86 Fitting into a Jersey that used to be too small is quite the NSV! Congrats!!7

@SummerSkier Having the presence of mind and willpower to record food you ate between 1-2 am is impressive! I feel sure I wouldβve completely forgotten by the time I woke up the next morning!6

Apparently, I can be tagged in the group but not post in the group without joining, so I clicked the button.
Stopping by to say Hey. Was nice of @Biketheworld and @mrshoffer to reach out at the end of august. Apologies for lack of reply.
Life update. After having us jump through hoops, taking my summer from me and at a cost of over $50,000, RE agent misjudged the market, picked the wrong price, and our house did not sell over the weekend like every correctly priced house does (or at least in the town I live in). We are living out of boxes and sleeping on mattresses on the floor because I furniture is still being used by the staging. We got the gas leaks in our "new" condo repaired yesterday, so I can cook with my two packed fry pans on a stove instead of the single burner I placed on the kitchen counter. Have not cooked in a real oven or a stove in two months. Exercise is nil because if I have energy, I need to address the boxes that have come with us (we have about half the house here - the stuff that had to be removed before going on the market). Today was working on fixing the washing machine. One of the perils of RE offers with no inspection.
Anyhow, nice to see the UAC is huge this month. Today, ironically today is my one year mark from coming to MFP and working to improve my health. Still holding at roughly 30 lb below last year and almost 45 from my highest, but can see bad habits becoming too easy again.
Best to all of you, keep up the good work!!19 -

My NSV for right now is feeling good about treating myself kindly, instead of feeling guilty for "wasting time" on myself.

My NSV I can go up and down my stairs like a normal person no more two feet on a stair at a time I have been working hard to get the knees more flexible and not hurt so much. Can I have two NSV if so my ortho doc said I can increase my weight work on my elbow if I pay attention to possible pain so glad to be out of the 10lb club!
Best of luck to everyone October id closing in that means CANDY π12 -
NSV is my fave check-in day as part of this group. In addition to my calories lowering, I am feeling so great about my lifting freuqency this month. Also, I am getting better at establishing boundaries with people so that feels real good.

Fabulous NSVs so far, congrats to all! Hmm, my NSV... Well I have continued to come back to MFP and have never considered quitting. This will be a way of life for me. I had a fall in early July that stopped my bike riding for a couple months. And I've been in a bad period sleeping for about the same time. I also have some issues with emotional/binge eating. But I do what I can to ensure I'll be back on the plan again. I'm a bit of a hard nut to crack, but I've cracked myself before so I can do it again π.

@SModa61 - Sherry, it's so good to see you and to get an update! Thanks for taking the time to stop by! I've sure MISSED you!!!7 -
For the last few years, lumbar back problems have been sometimes caused physical pain and limited activity. Starting each day with active stretching has helped me to prevent or recover. This morning after my opening stretching, my back felt βopenβ. That is my NSV! Later in the day, I was able to work with horses and have full mobility.
