Happy Wednesday!
Studies show that who you surround yourself with influences your behavior.
Being part of the UAC Challenge is a great way
to have supportive health minded and positive people on your βteamβ!
I continue to be inspired daily when I read through the posts.
Knowing that others are going through the same struggles and persevering keeps me going
when I need that extra bit of push and support.
You are an amazing Team!
Have a great healthy fit Wednesday!!!16 -
@znaoiec Totally agree with your post today!
I have been extremely busy the last couple of days and found myself missing the team and wondering how everyone was doing!
I am certain the reason I'm successful this time is this check-in aspect.. it is huge for me!9 -

I am so grateful to have found this team and all of you. Thanks for the post today @znaoiec and for the animal noses @LeeH31
I go for my monthly meeting with the nutritionist and weigh in later today, followed by a check in with the exercise physiologist. I am anxious about the weigh in. What else is new? But, as I shared before, I get data on fat, muscle, and water weight, bone mass, and basal metabolic rate from the special scale outputs which are interpreted by my nutritionist to advise on any needed changes.
I know that I have done my best on all three aspects of the UAC this month so far and should simply expect a positive outcome. I canβt wear some of my clothes (especially pants that are too loose), and my husband says he can see significant physical changes to my body. So I know that I am heading in the right direction.
Todayβs post rings so true for me. The support offered here and the opportunity to give support is a key part of this journey for me. To feel connected to others.
I will post later with my results from today. π₯°

I definitely agree that the team and family aspect of the UAC is one of the most critical support items provided. The daily check ins and reading everyone's victories and stumbles makes it the best challenge every. Thank you to everyone who has been helping this month (too many to name!)7 -
Good luck! @jamcnewman I'm sure you'll do fine!!!!4

I joined UAC because it claimed to be "the real deal" on the monthly announcement thread, it had great testimonials, and was even declared to be the best challenge on MFP by a member who I recognized. The most important thing I have found in UAC though was this incredibly supportive and helpful group of amazing people.
Thank you UAC!10 -

I definitely appreciate the advice, inspiration, and support I have found here. This is only my second month, but I plan to stick around.
Exercise: Another 5 miler today. That race is getting close!
Tracking:
Calories: Came SO close to a pass day for the first time. I weighed out a bowl of watermelon, set it aside and went to complete my tracking. After I entered dinner and the watermelon I was over! Fortunately, I hadn't touched the watermelon yet and I wrapped it up, put it away, and deleted the calories. Of course now I am obsessed with that bowl of watermelon, lol.9 -
Exercise : 1 hour beach walk

Youβve got this @Healthymumlife πππ2 -
I wanted to check-in and get up to date.
I have not posted since the 6th and I need to take pass days from the 7th to today 22nd - which is 16 pass days and disqualifies me. Now before someone says "Jen, what are you doing, you are such a goofball!", I have been active but I just have not been posting.
For the last 2 weeks, I needed to eat up all the "not so healthy" food in my kitchen from the recent grocery trip at the beginning of Sept. As a single Mom, I just can't go throw food out, and well I didn't want to post every day that I needed a pass day. That would make me feel like a goofball myself!
I also rearranged my cookbooks in my kitchen and pulled out the cooking for two, my healthy cookbooks, and cookbooks for Fall like my crockpot cookbook. I also rearranged my ramekins that I previously bought but didn't really use to make them more accessible in my cabinets to start cooking in individual single-serving dishes.
My goal for the next 2 weeks is to cook at home, divide food into the suggested serving sizes, and track accurately and no rough estimates aka 'ballpark figures', and track daily my calories and water intake. And start getting this under control better.
I have just recently went to the grocery store again, and this meal planning trip was much more "healthy". However, my son has already told me that he wants "normal food" when I told him we are going to start eating healthy again lol. But honestly, that is where I always struggle. I am a yo-yo dieter. I will cut calories down to 1200 a day and drop weight, then I will stop the calorie counting and exercise, and eventually, I have gained it all back. So this time I want to learn how to not diet, but just be healthy. I think learning proper serving sizes is a good start.
