morning all - a day late but there we are - I may add a day and move myself to a Wednesday. Monday all a bit of a strange day really
Weekend was great - very active and seeing a fair few friends which was great to catch up.

I have been getting my head around starting some running partly as one of my friends (my ex running partner) has been and did the local half marathon over the weekend - I have done that run a fair few times as also 5 marathons (last one was London in 2016, which is when I pretty much stopped running) but have had no desire to do a full marathon again (those of you who have done a marathon will probably get that) but upshot is I wouldn't mind a half marathon
So................I have been looking to enter one next year and work towards it. I am so far away from this I am back to square one with starting but figure I feel better and I am lighter so less stress on the joints and if I want to shift the last bit and tone up and get fitter I need to do more than just diet. Hopefully I will also feel better about myself and more alive (I know I will)
Just need to start now, so figure I can swim in the lake (I have been doing that everyday but that is not proper swim lengths but rather a gentle swim looking at the wildlife and it is getting colder 17.5 yesterday so without a wetsuit you last only so long), then warm up by going for a quick run around the park - a good starting point for me I think
I will report back hopefully that I have done it a few times
