Up 1.6 lbs this week. Didn't check in last week but was o gain that week. No excuses really but had pacemaker upgrade on August 17th that was unsuccessful then a redo on September 10th that was successful. I had a biventricular pacemaker which is basically a 3 lead from a 2 lead. Quite a bit more involved than a 2 lead standard pacemaker. They actually go behind the heart to connect a 3rd lead to a vessel behind the heart. I'm still somewhat short of breath but we're working on the congestive heart failure.

So I've got some work to do in the coming months. We got our son in rehab July 6, and he seems to be doing OK in a facility called Georgia Men's Center Teen Chalenge in South Georgia. We're visiting for the first time this weekend. Did some business traveling in the midst of all that to Little Rock then back to Kansas City in between surgeries. So been busy the last few months.

Got 35 lbs to lose to get back into twoterville. Just got to get started and make another run at it

I'm up 2.6 pounds (!). Yikes. I have not been very "restrictive" in my eating through this holiday season (Sukkot). I knew that going in, and once the holiday(s) end next week, I'm going to re-dedicate my efforts. I feel heavy and sluggish, and I don't like this feeling at all! Plus, I haven't been running (because services at the synagogue are earlier than usual because of the holidays). </complaints_and_excuses>

Thankfully, I'm still maintaining (though giving back a significant amount of the extra 10 pounds I lost over the past year).

    Down 2
Still have family visiting for the next week. So that will end up being 3 weeks of get togethers, dinners out, and breaks in my routine, Oh, and I also spent the last month helping my daughter paint her new townhome and get her all moved in. No more interruptions in my routine until Thanksgiving.

Up 0.4# at my WW weigh-in Wednesday. At Home, as God sees me, I'm down to 216.4# lowest since early 80's :)

This week, a loss of 0.2# as I traverse the obstacle course back to goal. Not significant as a number, but significant because it represent three weeks of losses in a row - only the third time this year I’ve done that. Ideally, I’d like to lose at least 0.6# over the next week. That would get me back to an average rate of loss of 2# per month for 2021.

If I don’t, I don’t. It would be a positive thing, but I’m focused more on making the journey back to goal “low stress” and sustainable. Ideally, when I get back to goal it won’t be much of a transition if any. So this is more about progress and process than it is about dates and deadlines.

In loosely related news, today I tried on some pants and jeans from my closet that are the next size down from what I’ve been wearing. I won’t say they were loose, but they were reasonably comfortable. They certainly were not “lay on the bed to fasten 'em” tight. Now I have to decide whether I wear the pants in the size I’ve been wearing when I surrender and put away the shorts of summer, or make the transition to the smaller size then. (When I get to goal in another 24#, I’ll be wearing a size smaller than what I just tried on.) For now, it’s an NSV just to know that it’s an option. 😊

LOL, I know what you mean. Shopping in your own closet is cool.

    😊

This is my mindset and I feel much more relaxed and at peace with myself.
