Calorie curious

This past week, I returned to Keto. I have done it in the past with success, but I always get bored (or lazy) with the food selection. I then return to lower calorie with more options. When I am on lower carbs, I am not hungry, hence the return. I am curious as to how many calories people are eating on Keto/low carb and still losing weight. I am female, over 55, weigh 150, and am 5 feet 4 inches. Just curious. I set MFP to 1300 and am staying under 30 carbs (less net carbs).

I try to keep my calories under 1450. One calorie calculator put me at 1458 to lose weight. I'm 59, 5 ft, 5 in and weigh 197. I started with keto the beginning of September and weighed 214. I try to stay under 20 gms of carbs total. I don't count net.0

Thank you. I will see how it goes going forward, I lost 5 this week, but I always do the first week. When I do low calorie, I stay under 1200 but am always hungry! May have to adjust down as I lose.1

I'm 64 yo female 5'4". I've been doing 15 Net Carbs +/- 3, 1200-1000 daily calories since 5/14/21. I'm down 57 lbs since then. 72 lbs since 9/14/20. Losing about 10 lbs/month. Keto is the easiest diet I've ever done! No hunger yet unless I didn't get to eat my lunch on a busy work day, then some hunger driving home.1

I'm 5'6" male, weighing 242.6 as of today, and I eat about 2000 calories most days. Some days I eat 3000 though, depending on how I feel. I eat Carnivore, which is a bit more strict, only getting carbs from eggs, and cheese, so usually 5g a day or less.
If I feel like eating more, and do, my weight loss doesn't slow down. I lose pretty steadily. Partly because I still need to lose 90 lbs. I am sure I will slow down as I near goal, but calories in a given day, do not seem to matter in weight loss the next day.
I've never eaten below 2000 calories a day, and often ate 4000 a day, back when I was 361 lbs. I am currently walking and doing 20-30 minute workouts at gym 2 days on, 1 off, but nothing strenuous. Most of the years I have been eating LC, and losing weight, I haven't exercised at all. Basically, if I stay on plan, I lose a lb. every day or 2. I've lost 38 lbs. in the past 50 days, on my curret attempt. I think eating low calorie, is a recipe for disaster.
If you get into ketosis, and no longer have cravings, which I easily do by eating under 20 total grams a day, then you will only eat until full, and then stop.. so whatever you eat, is what you need.. if you are overweight, you shouldn't be eating enough to maintain the excess, just the lean body mass. I feel that most people never drop low enough in carbs, continue to have cravings, and then try to pick a number, and stick to it, even though they still are thinking about food.
We shouldn't feel hungry, but if you prepare a meal, and start eating, and eat until you are full, you should eat whatever you need, and that may be 1500 calories, but may be 2500, and changes daily. If you stop trying to tell your body it needs this much every day.. and just pay attention to how you feel, your body will let you know how much to eat, and when you should stop. If you have excess weight you need to lose, you should be losing, even if just a little bit.. if you are losing, simply repeat, and let the small daily drops add up over months, and years.. eventually you will hit your proper weight, and settle into a maintenance level of calories.
The real question is.. what are YOUR results? Are you losing steadily, or at a good pace.. it seems like you don't have a lot, so maybe a lb. a week is good for you.. you have to decided what you will judge to be a good pace. If you are not hungry eating what you eat, can stick to it, and losing in a manner that you like.. then it is working for you.. just repeat.
MY plan, won't work for anyone else.. we all will lose at different weights, eating different levels of calories, and exercise, because we also have many other factors. I'm guessing at 150, you are more active than I am at 242.
Since there are so many factors, it is almost impossible to say.. eat X amount of calories, and lose this much. You will likely find a range, but trying to factor in calories burned, is impossible. Most of the numbers we use are not correct. They vary, and the same meal will vary by a sizable amount, we will get how many calories burned wrong, because height, weight, metabolism, and dozens of other factors beyond our control.
When you ate higher carb, your cravings and fake hunger, prevented you from eating until full, because you never felt full. You simply need to learn how feeling full feels.. not lack of appetite. I often do not feel like eating, and I'll cook up a lb. of GB, and try it, and it's gone in 5 minutes. I may only eat 12 ozs., or I may have to cook something else.
We are so used to failing to eat properly, that we try to do the impossible, and guess how many calories we should max out at. We have never experienced just eating, and stopping when we feel comfortably full. So we think we will overeat, and yes, at the start, you might, because you aren't adapted yet, but in a few weeks of being in ketosis, you should be able to sit down, and eat, and at some point, simply say.. I don't want ANY more.. THAT is what you should be eating that day. Your body will let you know what is the right amount for every day, on that day.
Plan out your meals for the day, but think of them as guides, not something to MUST stick to.. I rarely eat exactly what I plan.
The goal should be good results, without any feeling of deprivation, so you can repeat as long as you want.. not eating a certain number of calories.
My hope is that you figure this out, and find being healthy to be easy.
