1. What is motivating you in October?
In October, I’m being motivated by my jeans being way too tight. I don’t want to buy new, bigger jeans.
2. What are you goals for October?
My October goals are to keep logging everyday, even if it’s not perfectly. I want to show up for myself and keep going. My weight loss goal is 7 pounds.
3. How specifically are you planning on meeting your goals?
I plan to meet my goals by using my journal to keep me accountable to log in and log food daily. Weigh in on Mondays. Pre planning and pre logging food so I’m less likely to eat mindlessly or make unhealthy choices. And wear my jeans that are too tight to remind myself why I want to do this.
4. What is your favorite part of October?
My favorite parts of October are the crisp air, cardigans, fall decor and pumpkins patches!

    Had a rough weekend. Made some poor food choices and didn’t practice moderation. So a gain of three and a half pounds. Hope I can drop those back off quickly and still make my October goal weight.

    Last few weeks have been a real struggle. I started off so motivated and saw the weight loss just to gain most of it back. I can’t pinpoint what the issues are but my adjusted goal is to lose 1 pound by my 10/31 weigh-in.

    I didn’t weigh-in this morning. As I wrote this, I thought about weighing tonight but decided to wait until morning. I’ve been thinking about why I seemed to do so well in the first few weeks to totally tank it. Partly I think the water weight loss that can happen at first gave me too much confidence and unrealistic expectations. And I’m focusing too much on the scale and not on the habits I want to make and break. I’m going to limit my weigh-in to the beginning, middle and end of the month (with the end of the month weight being the next months starting). I can do this!
